```html How can I learn to trust in God? Answer: We cannot trust someone we don’t know, and that is the secret of learning to trust God. When someone says, “Trust me,” we have one of two reactions. Either we can say, “Yes, I’ll trust you,” or we can say, “Why should I?” In God’s case, trusting Him naturally follows when we understand why we should. The main reason we should trust God is that He is worthy of our trust. Unlike men, He never lies and never fails to fulfill His promises. “God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?” (Numbers 23:19; Psalm 89:34). Unlike men, He has the power to bring to pass what He plans and...
Looking around, I can see when trying to answer that question, that it's not necessarily the Most "intelligent" person {as the world's view of intelligence is. because there are many "intelligent" people out there it's not necessarily the "toughest", because there are "tough" guys who can mop the floor with almost anyone, but aren't saved. when they voice their beliefs, you can see they're unsaved; it's not the most "beautiful", because I've seen beautiful women who look like they're glowing with beauty, yet when they start talking, and you hear more about them, as beautiful as they look, their embrace of the demonic and hatred of godly things makes them disgusting, despite their looks. it's not even successful people, because there are...
```markdown “Behold, I have set before thee an open door” . . . and I will write upon him my new name. (13) He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the CHURCHES. . . (19) As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and REPENT. (20) Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. (21) To him that overcometh, will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. (22) He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the CHURCHES. Dear Heavenly Father: Thank You for this open door, and the doors which You have yet to open. I...
This is a subject that should be discussed more openly in my opinion. The struggle with flesh. Romans 7:14-25 We realize that the law is spiritual; but I'm all-too-human, a slave to sin. I really don't understand what I'm doing. I do the things I don't want to do, and what I hate doing, that's what I do! But if I'm saying that I do what I don't want to, this shows that I admit the law is right. So it's no longer me who does this, but sin living in me— for I know that there's nothing good in me as far as my sinful human nature is concerned. Even though I want to do good, I'm just not able to do it. The good I want to do, I don't do; while the evil I don't want to do, that's what I end up doing! However if I'm doing what I don't want...
Everyone around us will notice right away the change of our attitude, our mood and our intention when we give it all to Jesus. Following Him, loving Him and being just as He was. Full of mercy and compassion toward the lost and those in need. To change our attitude we must ask the Lord to fill us with the precious Holy Spirit and to get those wonderful gifts He has stored for us. 1. Wisdom from heaven. Ask and ye shall receive. 2. Understanding God's word. The deeper we enter into the holy presence of God, the clearer His word will be. 3. A gift of counsel. A heavenly intuition to enable us to judge promptly and rightly, especially in difficult situations. 4. Knowledge of God's will for our life. To see the future in God's own...
The Bible states that the love of money is the root of all evil. But what I notice, I've had more problems dealing with people's selfishness. So let's ask if selfishness is a sin. {I think so.} The Bible states, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." But what I've seen and experienced with people, they DO NOT treat others the way they want to be treated. {Unless they're masochists} Like, I think one kind of selfishness is not taking no for an answer. I've had people ask me to do something for them at a very inconvenient time, and when I explain the situation, instead of seeing what I'm saying and accepting a compromise, instead they just push and push, plugging for what THEY want, and forget about the problems it may cause...
First of all. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your mind and with all your soul. Second. Love your neighbors as yourself. Blessings upon blessings shall come to your life when you start doing what God's word tell us to do. Stop unnecessary shopping. Jewelry, gold watches, expensive shoes and clothing. Save as much as you can. Pay with cash only and stay away from credit cards whose interest are too high. Keep daily and monthly of your expenses. Rent, utility bills, food and clothing. When doing grocery shop, take a list along with you with the things you need. Find a free bank account. Some banks will charge extra fees for using their ATMs. Remember to pay your bills on time. Late charges...
Hello all I'm sorry to be so much trouble but am asking that God would convict someone who is causing a lot of problems and unnecessary drama. I would like him to be far removed from my life too. I can't really be around him just because he angers me so much and is extremely inappropriate towards me. Makes me uncomfortable so just asking for some major prayer that he be removed and just so I can go on living my life again. Thanks. :)
Some things are in the Bible, but it's not revealed exactly what they mean. Like Leviathan, we know it was a large sea creature, but not specifically just what it is. In Revelation we read of an evil entity called "Mystery Babylon." We know this much--God doesn't approve of it. "Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, mother of harlots. Come out from among her, that you may not partake of her sins. For her sins have massed up clear up to Heaven." We know that, but not if it's a specific place, like Babylon in Iraq. Hal Lindsey in one of his prophecy books stated he thinks it's a symbol for the occult, since the Biblical Babylon was noted for a lot of that. I'm going to select what I think is a candidate for Mystery Babylon. Since it's an...
