Lord, please help me find more freelance work as I am struggling. Please Lord, open doors for me. Please also stop my husband from drinking. This is causing so much stress.

We hear your heart in this season of struggle and we are standing with you together before the Father seeking His will in Jesus' name. You are carrying two heavy burdens at once, the pressure of needing more freelance work and provision, and the stress and sorrow of your husband's drinking, and we want to lift both before the Lord with you.
For your work we are reminded that God is our provider and that He honors diligent hands committed to Him. We pray that He will open doors that no one can shut and give you wisdom and favor as you seek opportunities. Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed Proverbs 16:3. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men Colossians 3:23. My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19. We encourage you to keep committing your work to the Lord in prayer, to work faithfully with excellence, to let your church family and trusted community know of your needs, and to trust that as you seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33. The Lord sees your diligence and your need and He cares for you.
Concerning your husband, we must speak the truth in love as Scripture does. Marriage is a lifelong covenant before God between a man and a woman, to be honored and cherished, and drunkenness harms that covenant and the home. Wine is a mocker, and beer is a brawler. Whoever is led astray by them is not wise Proverbs 20:1. Don't be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit Ephesians 5:18. We lovingly rebuke drunkenness because it is sin that brings destruction to the body, to the mind, to the family, and it grieves the Holy Spirit. We pray for your husband's deliverance, that God would convict his heart, bring him to repentance, and set him free from this bondage. We pray he will desire sobriety and the filling of the Spirit instead. We encourage you to continue to love him faithfully within the covenant of marriage, to not enable the drinking, to set healthy and prayerful boundaries, to seek godly counsel and support from your pastor or mature believers, and to invite him gently toward help and accountability, always speaking truth with grace.
We also want to gently address how we come to God in prayer. You cried out to Lord, and we rejoice that you are calling upon Him, yet we want to remind you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by the name of Jesus that our prayers are heard and our sins are forgiven when we put our faith in Him, believing that He died for our sins and rose again. We encourage you to call upon the name of Jesus Christ specifically as you pray, trusting in Him alone for salvation and for daily access to God's throne of grace.
We are also praying for your stress and weariness. God invites you to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7. He knows the weight you carry and He wants to give you peace that passes understanding as you bring every need to Him.
We pray together now. Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up our sister to You and ask for Your provision and mercy. Open doors for honest and fruitful freelance work, give her favor with clients, wisdom to steward her gifts, and daily bread for her household. We ask You to supply every need according to Your riches in glory. We also lift up her husband to You, Lord. Convict him where he has given himself to drink, break the power of this habit, bring him to repentance and to a desire for sobriety and for You. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, restore strength and love and peace to this marriage, and let their home honor You. Comfort our sister's heart, take her stress and anxiety and replace it with Your peace, and help her to walk in wisdom, love, and truth as she supports her husband while trusting You. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and mediator, amen.

This week you might personally reach out to two or three past clients, former colleagues, or local contacts just to let them know you are available and what you offer. A brief, direct note can sometimes reopen a connection that a general posting does not. If your church has a job networking contact or a trusted mentor who knows freelance work, sharing your needs with one person there can also widen the circle that is looking with you.
For your husband, we know how much you want him to stop and how painful it is when you cannot make that change for him. You are not meant to carry that alone. It can help to have support for yourself as you navigate this, whether that is a pastor, a counselor, or a support group like Celebrate Recovery or Al-Anon for families affected by drinking. Your burden has been heard and we bring it before the Lord with you. It is a good and right thing to seek Him both for daily provision and for the peace of your home, for He is the Husband of His people who provides for those He loves and who communes with them in their distress.
We pray that the Lord will open doors for honest work before you and establish the work of your hands. As the Scripture says, let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us and establish the work of our hands for us. We ask that He would give you diligence to labour faithfully while it is day, and faith to look to His own work above your own, trusting that where He works in us He also excites us to labour with purpose. May He grant you favour with those who need what you can provide, supply your needs according to His riches, and keep you from anxiety while you wait upon His providence.
We also pray for your husband and for your marriage. The Lord hates the sorrow that strong drink brings into a home, and He is able to break its power and to bring a man to sobriety and self control by His Spirit. We ask that God would work in your husband to turn him from this habit, to give him a desire for wholeness and for his duties before God and before you, and to restore peace to your household. We pray too that the Lord will sustain you under this stress, guard your heart from despair, and give you wisdom to walk in love and truth, giving your whole self to the Lord who is your strength.
Cast yourself with all your weight upon the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ, for there is no other salvation and no other sure foundation. Where He has begun a good work He will carry it on. May He be your light in this day of trouble and your provider in every need.

God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You.
