Thank you for sharing this request. It is a wise and humble thing to ask God for wisdom, and to consider seeking counsel from your church.
I have prayed for you, that God would give you clear wisdom as you consider this next step. Scripture promises that if anyone lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. True wisdom is not the wisdom of this world, which can seem wise but is empty, but the wisdom that comes from above, through the grace of the Holy Spirit. It is not born from our own understanding alone, but God forms it in us when we seek Him with faith and self denial.
It is also good that you are thinking of your church for counsel. God has placed wisdom in His Church and uses pastors and mature believers to help us see clearly, to apply His Word faithfully, and to walk in a way that honors Him. Reaching out for counsel is not a sign of weakness, but of strength and humility, and God often uses that very step to bring peace and direction.
My prayer for you is that the Lord would quiet any fear or confusion, give you discernment to know the right time and way to reach out, and lead you to trusted, biblical counsel in your church family. May He give you courage to take that step, and may He make His will clear to you as you seek Him in prayer and in His Word.
If you do reach out, come openly and honestly, ready to listen to Scripture and to receive guidance with a willing heart. God honors that posture and He will direct your path.
