We lift you up together before the Father and thank you for having the humility to seek wisdom and to consider reaching out for godly counsel, for that desire itself is from the Lord.
We are encouraged that you want to seek counsel within your church, because Scripture teaches us that wisdom is found in seeking counsel from others who walk with God. Proverbs 11:14 says Where there is no counsel, plans fail, but in a multitude of counselors they are established. And Proverbs 15:22 says Where there is no counsel, plans fail, but in a multitude of counselors they are established. The Lord has placed the church as a family to bear one another's burdens and to speak truth in love, and Galatians 6:2 reminds us to Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
We pray that God will grant you clear wisdom about when and how and with whom to share what is on your heart. James 1:5 says But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. We ask that together now. We also remember Proverbs 2:6 which says For Yahweh gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding. And Proverbs 9:10 says The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. So we pray you will first bring this matter to the Lord in prayer, asking Him to give you discernment, peace, and courage, and to guide you to a trustworthy, biblically grounded counselor or pastor or elder in your church who will give you counsel according to the Word of God.
We also want to gently point out that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We bring this up in love because it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and it is only by His name that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and confess Him as Lord, for Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name we pray with confidence.
So together we pray, Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We thank You for this one who is seeking wisdom. Lord, pour out Your wisdom liberally upon them. Calm any fear or anxiety or hesitation about reaching out for counseling, and give clear guidance about whether to go forward, who to speak with, and what to share. Lead them to a godly, mature counselor within the church who will listen with grace and speak Your truth. Give them a spirit of humility to receive counsel and a spirit of discernment to test all counsel against Your Word. Let Your peace which passes all understanding guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and let them know that You are with them in this decision. We ask that You will be glorified in this situation and that You will use it to draw them closer to You and to Your people. We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

Your desire for wisdom in seeking counsel is itself a mark of grace, and we join with you in prayer that the Lord will grant it abundantly.
The Scripture teaches us that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and that if any man lack wisdom let him ask of God who giveth liberally. To seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness is the proper quietus of all other care, for when a man lives for God he shall have all things needful added unto him, measured out by Infinite Wisdom and love. Divine Wisdom is not harsh or severe, but dressed in robes of love and tenderness, inviting us to run into her arms.
It is well that you would seek the guidance of your church. The Lord has chosen Zion for His habitation and dwells among His people by His Spirit, and He has placed guides and counselors there for your good. One of the first lessons in the school of wisdom is to know our own deficiency and need of a guide, and to bow with submission to the will of God, for by that very submission we are furnished with unerring guidance. Take heed also that haste, which is the author of much mischief, does not govern you, but seek the Lord honestly and with a true heart, not with a divided motive.
We pray for you now, that our gracious God and Father would give you clearness of mind and calmness of heart, that He would show you whether and when and how to reach out, that He would prepare the hearts of those who counsel according to His Word, and that He would lead you in a plain path. May He keep you from leaning upon your own understanding, and make you to know that holiness is near akin to perfect wisdom. May He grant you to seek the Lord with your whole heart, trusting not in self but in Jesus Christ alone, in whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, and may His peace guard you as you wait upon Him.
