Beloved of All
🧎🏽‍♂️ Father, thank You for the prayer of the Apostle Paul asking, "You give us The Holy Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation to know You better. Grant the eyes of our heart to be flooded with light so we may know the hope of Your calling, the riches of Your glorious inheritance in the saints, and the surpassing greatness of Your power toward us who believe, which You exerted when You raised Messiah from the dead and seated Him at The Right Hand of Power in the heavenly places, far above all other rule, authority, power and dominion both in this age and the age to come. Thank You and you all in Jesus The Christ's Name (from Ephesians 1:17-21).

We join with you in this beautiful and scriptural prayer and we thank you for sharing the heart of Eph 1:17-21 with us.

We love that you are praying the very prayer the apostle Paul prayed for the church, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to us a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of our hearts enlightened, that we may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to that working of the strength of his might which he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule, authority, power, dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come. Eph 1:17-21

This is the greatest pursuit of the believer, to know God intimately. As it is written, let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am Yahweh who exercises loving kindness, justice, and righteousness in the earth, for I delight in these things, says Yahweh. Jer 9:24 and this is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ. John 17:3 To know Him is not merely to know about Him, but to walk with Him, to experience His presence, and to be conformed to Him. Paul said that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming conformed to his death. Phil 3:10

We are encouraged by your desire for the eyes of your heart to be flooded with light. That light reveals three glorious realities you mentioned. First, the hope of His calling, that we are called with a holy calling according to His own purpose and grace, not according to our works. 2 Tim 1:9 Second, the riches of His inheritance in the saints, that we are His treasured possession and He rejoices over us. And third, the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe, the same resurrection power that raised Christ from the dead now lives in us through the Holy Spirit. Rom 8:11 reminds us that if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.

We thank God that you have prayed this in the name of Jesus the Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that our prayers are heard. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. 1 Tim 2:5 and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12

We pray together with you now.

Father, we thank You for Your Word and for this prayer that You inspired through Paul. We ask together that You would give us the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You. Flood the eyes of our hearts with Your light. Cause us to know You more intimately each day, to know the hope to which You have called us, to understand the riches of Your glorious inheritance in the saints, and to experience the exceeding greatness of Your power toward us who believe, the same mighty power You exerted when You raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at Your right hand far above all rule and authority. Teach us to walk in that resurrection power in victory over sin and in hope for the age to come. Draw us into deeper fellowship with Your Son. We ask this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

We were really blessed to read your prayer of thanksgiving. There is something steadying about hearing someone pause to thank the Father for how near He wants to be, for the hope He holds out to us, for belonging to Him, and for His great power at work in us through the risen Christ. Thank you for sharing that gratitude so openly, it encourages us.

What you prayed is one many believers return to again and again, and we find it often grows richer when we stay with it for a while. If it helps, you might keep that same prayer on your heart through this week, praying it slowly in the morning and then watching through the day for small ways God shows His nearness or gives strength, and thanking Him as you notice them.

Father, we thank You with our friend for Your desire to be known and for the hope and inheritance we have in You. We ask You to keep opening the eyes of our hearts to see You more clearly and to walk in the strength You have already shown in raising Christ. Keep our friend close to You and growing in knowing You each day. In Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

How precious is this prayer you have brought, for it is no other than the prayer which the Holy Spirit taught the apostle to pray for all the saints. We do join our hearts with yours and carry this same petition to the throne of grace, that the Father of glory would fulfill it in you.

You ask for the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, and rightly so, for wisdom must come to us by revelation from God, we cannot find it by our own efforts. Christ Himself is the power of God and the wisdom of God, and apart from Him there is no true knowing of the Father. It is the work of the Holy Spirit to take the things of Christ and show them unto us, and to flood the eyes of our heart with light. Without that divine enlightening we grope in darkness, but when He shines within, what was once hidden becomes plain and precious.

You ask to know the hope of His calling. Remember that His calling is a gracious calling, a humbling calling, a high and heavenly calling. It lifts the heart from earth to heaven and sets it upon holiness and eternity. It is an effectual calling, not the mere sound of words in the ear, but the voice of the Shepherd who calls His own sheep by name and they hear His voice and follow Him. If you have heard that call and have come down from pride and self trust to cast yourself upon Christ, you have evidence that you are His. Hold fast that hope, for it is a good hope through grace, and being established in it you shall not be moved.

You ask to know the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints. What a broad inheritance is ours in Christ. When we first come to Him we obtain the pardon of sin, but there is far more laid up, a measureless estate secured by a covenant of salt which cannot be broken. Survey it by faith and see how great is that portion which God has prepared for His people, and how great is His portion in His people, for we are His inheritance and He rejoices to call us His own.

You ask to know the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He wrought in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and set Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion. Here is your comfort. The same power that raised the Lord Jesus and enthroned Him above every name is engaged for you. If you have no power and no hope in yourself, that is no cause for despair. Until you are separate from all hope in yourself, the gospel cannot be power to you, but when you confess there is no hope in yourself, then Christ becomes your hope, your wisdom, your righteousness, your sanctification and redemption. He who has all power in heaven and in earth says, Come unto Me, and He will give you rest and strength to overcome sin and to bear every burden.

So we pray for you as you have asked, Father, grant to this dear soul the Spirit of wisdom and revelation to know You better, enlighten the eyes of the heart to see with certainty the hope to which You have called, the riches of Your glorious inheritance in the saints, and the surpassing greatness of Your power toward those who believe, even that power which raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at Your right hand, far above all rule and authority now and forever. Keep this one trusting only in Jesus Christ the Lord, who is our sole way to the Father, and make Christ daily more precious as both power and wisdom. We ask this in the name of Jesus the Christ, Amen.
