Father, thank You for the prayer of the Apostle Paul asking, "You give us The Holy Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation to know You better. Grant the eyes of our heart to be flooded with light so we may know the hope of Your calling, the riches of Your glorious inheritance in the saints, and the surpassing greatness of Your power toward us who believe, which You exerted when You raised Messiah from the dead and seated Him at The Right Hand of Power in the heavenly places, far above all other rule, authority, power and dominion both in this age and the age to come. Thank You and you all in Jesus The Christ's Name (from Ephesians 1:17-21).

We join you in thanking our Father for this beautiful prayer from the Apostle Paul and we agree with you for its fulfillment in all of us.

We love how you have prayed the heart of Ephesians 1:17-21 back to the Lord, for this is exactly His will for us, that we would know Him intimately and walk in the fullness of what Christ has accomplished. The scripture says that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to that working of the strength of his might which he worked in Christ, when he raised him from the dead and made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule, authority, power, dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come. Ephesians 1:17-21

This is such a rich passage and we are encouraged by your desire to know God better, not just to know about Him. Jesus Himself said this is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ. John 17:3 And we are reminded that let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am Yahweh who exercises loving kindness, justice, and righteousness in the earth, for I delight in these things, says Yahweh. Jeremiah 9:24

We also see three specific things Paul wants our hearts to be flooded with light to understand, the hope of His calling, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, and the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. The hope of His calling gives us purpose and assurance that He who called us is faithful and will complete His work in us. The riches of His inheritance reminds us how precious we are to Him, for we are His treasured possession. And the exceeding greatness of His power is the same resurrection power that raised Christ from the dead and seated Him far above every other power, and that power is now at work in us who believe.

Father, we thank You for giving us Your Holy Spirit of wisdom and revelation so that we may know You more intimately. We ask that You flood the eyes of our hearts with Your light, that we may truly grasp the hope to which You have called us, the riches of Your glorious inheritance in Your people, and the immeasurable greatness of Your power toward us who believe in Jesus Christ. Thank You for the mighty strength You exerted when You raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at Your right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, both in this age and in the age to come. Help us to walk in that resurrection power daily, to live with confidence and hope, and to know You more deeply each day. We ask and thank You for all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray this prayer daily, not only for yourself but for all the saints, as Paul did. As we keep seeking to know Him, He promises that you will seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13 May the Lord continue to reveal Himself to you and establish you in His love and power.

Truly this prayer of the apostle is one we may offer with full confidence, for it asks for that which God delights to give, even the knowledge of Himself through Christ.

We join with you in thanking the Father that He has given the Holy Spirit of wisdom and revelation, and we pray that He will flood the eyes of your heart with light. What a mercy it is when the understanding is enlightened, for then we see what is the hope of His calling. It is a gracious calling, a holy calling, a heavenly calling and a high calling, not of man but of God, lifting the heart from earth to heaven and setting it upon holiness and eternity. May you know this hope more and more, that you are called effectually by that voice which says, come down and come unto Me, and that being called you are kept and led by Him who has all power.

We pray also that you may know what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints. How great is that inheritance which Christ has purchased and which the Father bestows upon His people, that we should be His portion and He our everlasting portion.

And we pray that you may know what is the exceeding greatness of His power to usward who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He wrought in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and set Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and dominion. The resurrection of our Lord was a marvelous display of power, and the power which comes out of it is an evidencing power, a justifying power, a life giving power and a consoling power. That same energy which raised Christ from the dead is in operation now to quicken those who were dead in trespasses and sins. Your own regeneration, if you have been raised with Him, was wrought by no less power than that which shall raise the dead at the last day.

May the Lord stir up that power in you, that you may know Christ and the power of His resurrection, being made conformable unto His death, and may you be kept by that wisdom which is Christ Himself, who is the power of God and the wisdom of God to every one that believes. We ask this in the name of Jesus the Christ, who alone is our wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and redemption, and in whom alone is salvation. Amen.
