We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, recognizing the spiritual battle you are facing. While it is understandable to seek protection and guidance, we must first address some concerns in your prayer that do not align with biblical principles.

You called upon your guardian angel for protection and guidance, but Scripture clearly teaches that our help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth (Psalm 121:2). While angels are ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation (Hebrews 1:14), we are never instructed to pray to them or place our trust in them. Our prayers must be directed to God alone through Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Jesus Himself said, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you" (John 16:23). It is through Christ alone that we have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18).

We also notice that you asked for vengeance. Beloved, Scripture instructs us, "Do not seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord'" (Romans 12:19). Instead of seeking vengeance, we are called to bless those who persecute us (Romans 12:14) and to pray for those who mistreat us (Luke 6:28). Our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12), and our weapons are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4).

Let us pray together in alignment with God's Word:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our dear brother/sister to You, asking for Your divine protection to surround them like a shield. Lord, You are our refuge and fortress, our God in whom we trust (Psalm 91:2). We ask that You would dispatch Your holy angels to encamp around them, guarding them in all their ways (Psalm 91:11). Father, illuminate their path and guide their steps according to Your will.

Lord, we rebuke every spirit of destruction, theft, and opposition that has risen against them. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We ask that You would restore all that has been stolen or destroyed, for You are a God who restores and redeems (Joel 2:25-26).

Father, we ask for Your peace to flood their heart, a peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Teach them to trust in You with all their heart and not lean on their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5).

Lord, we pray for those who have plotted against them. We ask that You would soften their hearts and open their eyes to the truth of Your gospel. If it be Your will, turn their hearts from wickedness and draw them to repentance (2 Timothy 2:25-26). Help our brother/sister to forgive those who have wronged them, just as You have forgiven them (Colossians 3:13).

We put on the full armor of God, that they may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). Clothe them with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the readiness of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word (Ephesians 6:14-17).

Father, we ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, empowering them to walk in victory and to stand firm in their faith. May they be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might (Ephesians 6:10). We declare that they are more than conquerors through Him who loved them (Romans 8:37).

In the precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Beloved, remember that the battle belongs to the Lord (1 Samuel 17:47). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). Spend time in God's Word, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Stay rooted in prayer, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9).

If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast (Ephesians 2:8-9). Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6).

Thank you for letting us carry this with you. It is clear you are shouldering a heavy burden, fear that people are actively plotting against you, destroying your belongings and activities, and a deep longing for safety, justice, and direction. That kind of pressure can feel consuming, and we want you to know you are not alone in it.

When fear tells us we are surrounded and outnumbered, one of the healthiest things we can do is refuse to stay isolated. The weight of this becomes harder to bear when it remains hidden or carried by one person. We would gently encourage you to find a trusted, mature Christian in your life, a pastor, a small group leader, or a wise friend, and open up about what you are experiencing. Letting someone else stand with you in prayer and simply hear you out can bring a surprising measure of relief. People in crisis often pull away from the very relationships that could steady them; reaching out is a step of courage.

We also want to name something you already sense: your safety and your future are not dependent on your own ability to watch your back. We can pray for God’s protection and for His justice to be done, trusting that He sees everything and will set things right in His time and in His way. That doesn’t make the present struggle less real, but it does mean you don’t have to feed on fear or bitterness.

Please know we are praying with you now:

Father, thank You that You are a refuge and a strong tower. We ask You to surround this dear person with Your protection, to send Your angels to guard them according to Your will, and to quiet the fear that keeps them awake at night. Bring healthy, safe relationships into their life right now. We entrust the people who have acted against them to Your perfect justice, and we ask for wisdom to navigate each day. Fill their heart with Your peace that goes beyond understanding. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Distrust the desire for vengeance as a mark of grace, for the day of vengeance belongs to the Lord alone. He has appointed a day when He will break in pieces everything that sets itself up against Him, and the death warrant is gone out from God against everything that is of the creature. But for you, the year of acceptance with the Lord is not a time to call down fire upon your foes. Look to the cross! That was the great day of vengeance when all the waves and billows of divine wrath went over your Savior’s innocent head, and if that day of vengeance took place when our Lord died, then it is over for all who are in Him. Do not seek to be avenged; rather, lay the axe at the root of the evil and pray, “Deliver me from all my transgressions.” Bow with submission to the will of God, and by that very fact you are furnished with unerring guidance.

You call upon a guardian angel, yet the angels of God delight to do His bidding, not ours. They are ministering spirits sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation, and great is their joy to bear God’s tidings. But no angel ever taught us to petition him. Their protection is afforded in the ways of obedience to divine precepts: do what God tells you, as God tells you, and because God tells you, and no hurt can come to you. Walk in childlike trust upon providential guidance, leaning not upon your own understanding, and you may safely leave your keeping to Him who has charged His angels over you. This protection is perpetual as well as personal, but it is given to those who surrender all to their Lord.

As for those who have plotted against you and scattered your belongings, beware lest a bitter spirit make you an enemy of the cross of Christ. Those who profess friendship with the cross yet by their lives turn out to be its worst enemies shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord. Far from pronouncing vengeance, humble yourself and say, “I am unworthy of the least of all thy mercies.” Divine sovereignty has a right to do with you as it wills, and it often interposes to draw His own out of many waters. He will dry up the green tree of creature pride in His time; meanwhile, you are to rejoice that He lifts up the poor from the dunghill. Trust the angelic guardianship God ordains through providential ways, not by demanding visible signs, for such interpositions would not profit the ungodly. Walk softly before your God, and you will find that He has delivered your soul from death, your eyes from tears, and your feet from falling.

You ask for divine protection, yet you demand vengeance. You call upon your guardian angel to scatter foes, to destroy those who plot against you. Consider what the Apostle says: "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay, saith the Lord." He does not say, "Avenge yourselves," but "leave room for wrath." For the sufferer is not the one who endures the evil, but the one who does it. God abides and lives forever; even if the wicked receive no requital now, they will receive it hereafter. Do not pray for their ruin, lest you kindle a grievous warfare against your own soul. The warfare we are called to wage is good, not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers of darkness, against spiritual wickedness. You say your enemies have laid waste your belongings and activities, but consider: if they fall into your hands, you will have only temporary relief, but if they fall into the hands of the living God, that is a terror indeed. Pray rather for your own endurance, that you may shine as gold tried in the fire.

Why do you run to angels as if they were your private protectors, called by your own voice? Far be it from you to think that you command the hosts of heaven. God's power has reconciled us to them; once they stood against us as ministers of vengeance, but now they rejoice with us. They are sent forth by Him, not by your command. To call upon an angel in this bold way, directing him to scatter your foes, is to mistake the servant for the Master. The angel who brings the name of Jesus from heaven does not wait for our bidding; he does the will of God alone. You cling to Psalm 91, and truly God says, "He shall give His angels charge over you." But notice: it is God who charges them. Your trust must be entirely in His divine care, not in your own invocation of angelic power. Let your prayer be: "Lord, if it be Your will, send Your angel to guard me," not, "My angel, go forth and destroy."

The true enemy is not your neighbor who plots against your property. The daemons are the enemies put under Christ's feet, and your struggle is to keep faith and a good conscience. When you ask, "Scatter all foes," see first that your own sins do not scatter your peace. Better to enter heaven maimed, stripped of every belonging, than to keep your wealth and cast your soul into vengeful warfare. The angels rejoice over one sinner who repents; they do not leap to destroy at our whim. Entrust judgment to the Righteous Judge, who will send forth judgment unto victory when every mouth is stopped. Until that day, arm yourself with patience, not with curses. Let your foes do their worst; your treasure is in heaven, where neither moth nor thief destroys. Pray for their conversion, and you will heap coals of fire on their heads in a way that pleases God. Stand fast in this good warfare, and the peace that surpasses understanding will keep your heart, even while enemies surround you.

It is completely understandable to cry out when you feel surrounded by plots and attacks, when your belongings and your daily life seem targeted for destruction. The psalmists knew that cry well, and they did not hide it from God. You are right to turn to Him as your shield. The Scriptures promise that He commands His angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways. When Peter was chained in prison, an angel came and led him out past the guards while the iron gate opened by itself. That same power is real, and you are not forgotten in your own time of distress.

Yet your prayer asks for both protection and vengeance. This is where a careful line must be drawn, because the Lord Himself declares, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay.” It is one of the hardest truths to hold onto when you have been genuinely wronged. The impulse to see your enemies scattered and to have God take up your cause immediately is raw and honest, much like the prayers of David, who was a man after God’s own heart. David often spoke of his enemies perishing and asked God to cut them off. But notice what David did not do: he did not take the sword into his own hands. When he had the chance to strike Saul, he refused. He committed the matter entirely to the Judge of all the earth, trusting that God’s timing and God’s justice would be perfect, even if it was delayed.

The danger for any of us is that the desire for God to act in vengeance can quietly become a desire for personal revenge that we nurse in our own hearts. That bitterness is a poison we drink while hoping it harms someone else. I know the intensity of protective anger if someone threatens your life or those you love. It is a fire that rises fast. But we are not the avengers. The Lord reserves wrath for His enemies, and He will render a reward to the proud in His own time. The day of vengeance is in His heart, connected to the full redemption that is still to come. When Jesus stood in the synagogue and read from Isaiah, He closed the scroll before reading the line about the day of vengeance. His first coming brought atonement for sin; the judgment of His second coming will cleanse the earth of wickedness completely, and not a moment before His appointed hour.

For now, your path is to follow the angel’s instruction to Peter: put on your sandals, walk out of the prison, and follow where you are led. The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him. The same mighty being who stood with a drawn sword in front of Jerusalem is well able to scatter what has been plotted against you without you needing to orchestrate its downfall. When the enemy resists, the response is not a self-made rebuke but “The Lord rebuke you.” Entrust the scattering of your foes into His hands alone. If He is the one guarding your path, no weapon formed against your daily activities and belongings can ultimately prosper.

Do not let the weight of waiting for justice turn into a root of bitterness in your own soul. Bring your hurt to the altar. The prayers of the saints rise like incense before the throne, and they are heard. God will settle every account. Keep asking for His guidance and His shielding presence, but leave the repayment strictly in His hands. He is righteous in all His judgments, and when He moves, even the angels of the waters and fire will declare His judgments true and perfect. Until that day of full deliverance, He will keep you, illuminate your steps, and be your peace.
