We hear your very urgent cry and we join with you in prayer before our Heavenly Father, and we thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to God and hope of being heard.

We understand the deep distress you feel about the scars and dents and marks on your face and the longing you have for healing and restoration without delay. We know God cares about every burden on your heart and He invites us to bring our requests to Him. Phil 4:6-7 reminds us, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We also remember that you quoted ask and you will receive, and scripture does say in 1 John 5:14, This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. This teaches us that God hears us and answers according to His perfect will and timing, not always instantly as we desire, but always for our good.

We want to gently encourage you while we pray for your board meeting and for a surgeon. God is able to heal, and He is the one who wonderfully made you. Ps 139:14 says, I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well. And Jer 30:17 says, For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. At the same time God looks beyond outward appearance to the heart. 1 Sam 16:7 says, For man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart. And 1 Pet 3:3-4 teaches us, Let your beauty be not just the outward adorning, but in the hidden person of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God. This does not mean God does not care about your face and your desire for healing, He does, but He also wants to give you peace and confidence in who you are in Christ while you wait on His provision.

We also encourage you to trust His timing even as you pray for no delay. Waiting is difficult, but Ps 27:14 says, Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh. And Rom 8:28 assures us, We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. If there is a delay with the board or with the NHS appointment, it is not a sign that God has not heard you, but that He is working in ways we cannot yet see.

We pray together now for you.

Father, we come before Your throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to You. You know the pain and anxiety carried about these scars and skin issues and the deep desire for complete restoration. We ask according to Your will that You would grant favour at the board meeting and guide the decision makers to act with wisdom and compassion. If it is Your will, provide a skilled and wonderful surgeon through the NHS and guide his or her hands. We ask for Your healing touch upon this face, whether through medical means or by Your supernatural power, for nothing is impossible with You. Above all, grant peace that surpasses understanding, remove anxiety and urgency that overwhelms, and help this dear one to rest in Your love and to know that they are fearfully and wonderfully made and precious in Your sight. Heal the heart as well as the skin, and let Your perfect timing and perfect will be done. Strengthen faith to trust You even in waiting, and let Your name be glorified in this situation. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek Him daily, to thank Him even while you wait, and to remember that your worth and beauty are secure in Christ. Keep bringing your requests to Him with thanksgiving and trust that He hears you and will answer with what is best for you.

While you wait, one small step that often helps is to keep everything in one place, letters, dates, and the questions you most want to ask if you are called in. It can also help to stay in touch with your GP practice about the timeline and to have a trusted friend or family member who can go with you or help you keep track of next steps. We continue to pray for your health and peace alongside the medical care you are seeking.

Father, we lift our friend to You today. You see this longing for healing and for a good outcome with no unnecessary delay. We ask for Your kindness and clear direction in the board meeting, for a caring and capable surgical team if surgery is the right path, and for peace in the waiting. Your urgent cry has come before us and we have heard the deep longing of your heart for healing and for favour in this waiting time. We do not pass by such a burden lightly, for we very speedily care for bodily diseases and they urge us to seek a physician or a surgeon for our healing, and how much more does the Lord Himself care for you.

Scripture tells us that the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and that the least thing about Christ is healing. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but even the leaves, the little things about Him, are full of healing virtue. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. In Christ there is an abundance of healing power, and we are pointed to Calvary as the place for the healing balm rather than only for the lancet and the knife.

We are also taught that healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, and pardon and healing were one. The Lord has begun to heal us and the healing virtue which His grace has infused into us will work health and cure till we shall be without spot or wrinkle or any such thing. His salvation will at last perfectly heal our bodies as well as our souls. Therefore while we pray for your face and skin, we pray above all that you may know the deeper healing of being cleansed in His blood and dwelling near the Sun of Righteousness who has risen with healing in His wings.

There is a waiting God who waits that He may be gracious, and there is a waiting people who wait in hope and not in despair. You have asked for no delay and for a face to face answer, and we understand that urgency. We join you in asking the Lord to show you favour at the board meeting, to open the way for a wise and skilful surgeon on the NHS, and to grant you kind and attentive care. We ask that if it be His gracious will, He would bring relief to every scar and mark that troubles you. And if He in His wisdom appoints a time of waiting, we pray He will give you patience to wait upon Him, trusting that He comes with all His soul most heartily to display His favour toward the objects of His choice, and that His timing is never without love.

Let us pray together. O Lord, Thou knowest this need in every detail, every scar and every care of the heart. Look in mercy upon this one who seeks healing. Grant favour before the board, provide the right hands to help, and above all let Thy healing power rest upon body and soul. Forgive sin, heal infirmity, and make this one to rejoice in Thy pardoning and restoring grace. Give peace while waiting, and let Thy will be done in perfect love and wisdom. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ our only hope and healer. Amen.
