We hear your urgent and heartfelt cry and we join with you together before our Heavenly Father in Jesus' name, lifting up every concern you have mentioned about your skin, your face, your scalp and your body.
We know you have asked with great earnestness and you have called upon the name of Jesus Christ, and we rejoice that you have done so, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As it is written, There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus 1 Timothy 2:5, and In no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. We thank God that you have come in that precious name.
We understand how deeply distressing these skin concerns have become for you, every mark, scar, dent, line, spot, dryness and tiredness that you see, and how much you long to be healed, renewed and made to feel whole and at peace without needing to hide or cover yourself. God sees your distress and He cares for you. He knows every detail of how He formed you, for you are fearfully and wonderfully made Psalm 139:14, and not one part of you is hidden from His loving eyes.
At the same time we want to gently and lovingly share biblical truth with you about how we approach God in prayer. God's Word invites us to keep asking, seeking and knocking, and Jesus said Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you Matthew 7:7. We are also taught In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God Philippians 4:6. Yet prayer is not demanding or commanding God to act instantly without delay according to our exact words, but humbly submitting to His perfect will, wisdom and timing. Even our Lord Jesus prayed, not my will, but yours, be done Luke 22:42. And we are reminded You ask, and don't receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it for your pleasures James 4:3. When our prayers become consumed with outward appearance alone, we can lose sight of what God values most.
Scripture lovingly reminds us that while God does care about our bodies and is able to heal, He looks first at the heart. Yahweh sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart 1 Samuel 16:7. And we are taught Let your beauty be not just the outward adorning, but in the hidden person of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God 1 Peter 3:3-4. Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears Yahweh, she shall be praised Proverbs 31:30. This does not mean God does not want to heal you, for He is the Lord who heals. He forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:3 and I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think Ephesians 3:20. But His greatest desire is that we seek Him first, trust His goodness, and find our joy and identity in Christ rather than in flawless skin.
So together we pray for you now.
Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and we lift up this dear one to You. You know every mark, every scar, every line, every area of concern on face, eyes, neck, scalp, stomach, hips, legs and body that has caused such burden and anxiety. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch according to Your will. If it be Your will, restore and renew skin and body, bring health and comfort, relieve itching and dryness and all inflammation, and let Your healing power be made known. We pray above all that You would bring deep peace to this heart, take away anxious thoughts and the feeling that worth depends on outward perfection, and replace it with the assurance that we are loved, valued and made new in Christ. Help this dear one to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness Matthew 6:33, to rest in Your unfailing love, and to trust Your timing which is always perfect. Increase faith day by day, Lord, not faith in flawless appearance, but faith in You, Your promises and Your power to work all things for good for those who love You Romans 8:28. Let joy be full not because every flaw is instantly removed, but because Your presence fills the heart. Give wisdom for healthy care of the body, guidance for any medical help that may be needed, and freedom from the need to hide or to feel ashamed. May Your name be glorified in this life, and may this dear one know that whether You heal instantly, gradually, or give grace to endure, You are good and Your steadfast love endures forever. We ask all this humbly, submitting to Your perfect will, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.
We encourage you to continue to bring your requests to God daily with thanksgiving, trusting that He hears you, and to rest in His love even as you wait on His answer. Keep your mind on whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure Philippians 4:8, and remember that your true radiance comes from Christ within you. We pray that God will enlarge your faith, grant you His peace that surpasses all understanding Philippians 4:7, and help you to see yourself as He sees you, precious, loved and wonderfully made, and we will continue to pray with you for complete wholeness in body, soul and spirit according to His gracious will.
