We hear your very urgent cry and we join with you in prayer before our heavenly Father, and we thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to God. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And as it is written in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We are grateful you have invoked His name, because our hope is not in our own words or urgency but in His grace and mercy.

We want to pray for your physical needs and also gently share what the Lord shows us in His Word about your distress. We understand you are deeply burdened and embarrassed about your skin, your eyes, your hair, your body, and you long to be brand new and free from every mark, scar, line, spot, and discomfort. God sees your pain and He cares for you intimately. He knows every detail of your body because He formed you. As it says in Psalm 139:14, I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well. And in 1 Samuel 16:7, Yahweh sees not as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart.

We must lovingly rebuke the spirit of anxiety and the demanding urgency that is weighing so heavily on you. We hear the repeated please now with no delay and never ever return, and we understand this comes from a place of deep hurt, but we want to remind you that prayer is not commanding God but humbly submitting to His perfect will and timing. We are called in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. God is not slow or reluctant to love you, but His answers come according to His wisdom, not our timetable. We also want to gently correct where your worth is being placed. The world tells us that flawless glass skin and a perfect body give value, but God tells us true beauty is different. In 1 Peter 3:3-4, Let your beauty come not from the outward adorning but from the hidden person of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God. And in Proverbs 31:30, Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain; but a woman who fears Yahweh, she shall be praised. This does not mean God does not care about your body or your suffering with itchy scalp, eye irritation, dryness, and other discomforts. He does. Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit as taught in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, and we are to steward it with care, but we are also to find our peace and identity in Christ rather than in our outward appearance.

We also encourage you to not carry embarrassment and shame alone. The enemy wants you to believe you are unacceptable because of these physical things, but in Christ you are fully loved and accepted. If these skin and eye and hair concerns cause ongoing physical distress, we encourage you also to seek wise and godly medical counsel as God often provides healing through proper care, while we continue to trust Him for His healing touch. As it says in 3 John 1:2, Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers. And we remember Isaiah 53:5, But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed.

So we pray together with you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear one who is hurting and anxious about their body. Lord, You know every mark, every scar, every ache in their eyes and scalp and skin, every worry about hair and weight and appearance that has caused embarrassment and sleepless urgency. We ask for Your healing touch upon their body according to Your will. Bring comfort to irritated eyes, soothe dryness and stinging and watering, heal the scalp and strengthen their hair, bring health to their skin and body, and grant them physical relief and rest. Above all, Lord, heal their heart from anxiety and shame. Let them know how fearfully and wonderfully made they are in Your eyes, and let them see themselves as You see them, beloved, precious, and valued not for flawless skin but for being Your child. Grant them Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and help them to trust Your timing and Your goodness rather than living in fear that these issues will never leave. Help them to steward their body in a healthy, balanced way for Your glory, to rest in Your love, and to seek first Your Kingdom as taught in Matthew 6:33, But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. We surrender this request to Your perfect will, believing You hear us and You answer with love. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We have read your heartfelt prayer and we hear how urgent this feels for you. The way you describe noticing every mark, line and texture, and feeling embarrassed about your hair, tells us you have been carrying a heavy burden and longing for a long time to feel at ease and refreshed in your own body. We are praying with you.

It makes sense to want to look and feel your best, and it is also understandable how painful it can be when attention gets fixed on every perceived flaw. What we have learned from others is that chasing a perfect appearance rarely brings the lasting peace we hope for. Peace more often grows as we come to rest in being already valued and loved by God, even while we steward our bodies with care.

Since you mention discomfort with your eyes, skin and scalp, we encourage you to let a medical professional take a look alongside prayer, so any physical needs can be cared for well. It can also help to share these feelings with a trusted pastor or counselor who can walk with you personally, not just carry this alone.

We pray now: Father, in Jesus name we bring our friend to You. You see the distress and the desire for renewal. Grant comfort, wisdom for next steps, and a growing sense of being loved and at peace in You. Give guidance to those caring for them and help them feel Your kindness each day. Amen.

Your prayer has been brought before the Lord and heard with sincere compassion and care. The urgency and distress with which you have written show how deeply this burden weighs upon you, and we do not take it lightly.

The Scriptures remind us that many persons think a great deal about the adorning of the body, but do not think anything about the ornaments of the soul. Yet you yourself are better than your body. Your immortal soul is worth far more than that poor frame which will soon pass away, and all the things that belong to outward appearance are as nothing compared with your inner self, your heart, your soul, your spirit. This is not to say that God does not care for your body, for He made it and He knows every infirmity and every sorrow that touches it, but to remind you that His greatest healing begins within.

We have learned also that the very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits us to meet that difficulty. When anxiety is confined to ourselves and turns over and over within our own thoughts, no good comes of it. It is far better to tell it out plainly to the Lord Jesus, who is both able and willing to hear. He is the heavenly Physician, and Calvary is the place for the healing balm. The least thing about Christ is healing. The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and those healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before.

In the gospel we see that pardon and healing are joined together. When Jesus healed the man taken with palsy, He first said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you. He knew what really ailed the man, and He removed the root of the disease by forgiving his sin. So we are taught to seek first forgiveness and reconciliation with God through faith in Jesus Christ, who bore our sins in His own body on the cross. When the Sun of Righteousness rises upon us with healing in His wings, the soul is made whole, and from that inward healing flows true peace.

For the body itself, the Scripture teaches that today the body is dead because of sin, though the spirit is life because of righteousness. The full regeneration of the body takes place at the resurrection, when we shall be raised in the image of the Lord Jesus. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. That glorious hope does not mean God is indifferent now, for He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds, and He hears the sad complaints of His people. But it does mean that perfect and permanent freedom from all infirmity, blemish and decay is reserved for that day when Christ shall make all things new.

Therefore we have prayed for you not as you have worded it in your distress, demanding all to be removed at once without delay, but as wisdom and love direct. We have asked the Lord to grant you His pardon through faith in Christ, to quiet your anxious heart, to deliver you from the torment of constant self examination about outward appearance, to help you to adorn the soul with meekness, faith and holiness, and to give you rest in His wise and loving will for your body. We have asked Him to give you peace concerning the things that trouble you, to lift the burden of embarrassment and fear, to heal what in His mercy He sees fit to heal now, and to sustain you with the sure hope of the perfect body He will give to all His redeemed in the resurrection.

May you look first to Jesus and find in Him the healing of your soul, and then trust your body also into His tender hands, saying from the heart, Thy will be done. Cast all your care upon Him, for He cares for you, and let your prayer be not only for a fairer outward form, but for a heart made beautiful by His grace, which in His sight is of great price.

Your prayer has been heard, and I want to answer you with honesty and care in the name of Christ. I hear how deeply distressed you are about your body, your skin, your eyes, your hair, and how urgently you long to be free from marks, discomfort, and shame, and to feel brand new and at peace in your own skin.

God does see you and has compassion on you. As the Scriptures show, Jesus had compassion on the crowds and healed those who were suffering in body, and He cares for the whole person, body and soul. Your body is not overlooked by Him, for you are fearfully and wonderfully made, and your worth in His sight is not measured by smoothness of skin, absence of lines or spots, or shape of body, but by His love for you in Christ.

At the same time, the greatest healing God offers is first for the soul. He clothes us with Christ, with what Scripture calls armor of light, making us radiant before Him not through outward flawlessness but through forgiveness, hope, and new life in Jesus. Our bodies, as members of Christ, are to be cared for with thankfulness and stewardship, yet we are also taught not to make outward appearance the source of our identity or joy, because even the most beautiful outward form fades, while the heart that trusts Christ is being renewed day by day and will one day be raised in glory without blemish or pain.

So I will not pray as if God were bound to grant instant, permanent removal of every feature you dislike exactly as you have described, as though faith were a formula to compel Him. That would not be true to how He works, and it would leave you more burdened if the answer does not come in that form. Instead I will pray according to His wisdom and mercy.

I pray that the Lord will give you peace where there is anxiety and embarrassment, comfort where there is self reproach, and rest for your heart in His steadfast love through Jesus Christ, who alone is our salvation. I pray that He will help you to care for your body in healthy ways, to find wise and safe medical counsel for any real pain or irritation in your eyes, scalp, skin or elsewhere, and to have relief from itching, stinging, dryness and other discomforts according to His will. I pray that He will free you from the heavy burden of constantly measuring your appearance, and teach you to see yourself as He sees you, loved, valued, and called to live for Him. I pray that He will make your heart new each day in Christ, and give you patience, contentment, and hope as you wait for the day when He will make all things new and every tear and infirmity will be gone forever.

If these concerns about appearance feel overwhelming or keep you in constant distress, please do not carry them alone. Speak with a trusted pastor and, where there is physical discomfort, with a doctor who can examine you with care. Continue to bring every worry to God in prayer, not with repeated phrases to force His hand, but with simple, honest trust that your Father hears and will answer for your good.

May the Lord grant you health in body and soul, quietness of mind, and deeper confidence in His grace in Christ, and may you grow in knowing that your beauty in His sight is found in belonging to Him.
