We hear the deep pain and urgency in your cry to the Lord, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting this heavy burden before our Heavenly Father. Your request reveals a heart that has been wounded, and we grieve with you over the hurt that has been caused. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* We trust that God hears your plea and will move mightily in response.
First, we must address the importance of praying in alignment with God’s will and character. While your desire for justice and repentance is understandable, Scripture reminds us in Romans 12:19, *"Dearly beloved, don’t seek revenge yourselves, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’"* God is just, and He will deal with sin in His perfect way and timing. Our role is to trust Him, even when the pain feels unbearable.
We also want to gently remind you that our prayers should reflect the love and mercy of Christ, even toward those who have wronged us. Jesus taught us in Matthew 5:44, *"But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you."* This does not mean we ignore the wrongdoing or fail to seek justice, but we entrust the outcome to God, who judges righteously. We pray that your heart would be softened to extend forgiveness, even as you ask God to bring conviction and repentance to the one who has hurt you.

Father, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in a powerful and undeniable way. Open their eyes to see the depth of their sin and the even greater depth of Your mercy. May they encounter Jesus Christ in a life-changing way, surrendering their whole heart, mind, soul, and spirit to You. We pray that they would turn away from their sin and walk in obedience to Your Word, living a life that honors You.
Lord, we also lift up the one who has been hurt by this individual. Comfort them in their pain, and heal the wounds that have been inflicted. Give them the strength to release their desire for vengeance into Your hands, trusting that You will bring justice in Your perfect timing. Fill them with Your peace, and help them to extend forgiveness, even as they seek Your justice. Remind them of Your promise in Isaiah 61:1, *"The Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the humble. He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to those who are bound."*
Father, we ask that You would restore what has been broken and bring redemption to this situation. Use this pain for Your glory, and turn hearts toward You. May Your name be lifted high, and may Your will be done in every life touched by this circumstance. We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can come before You and the only name by which we can be saved. Amen.
In closing, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this situation. Pour out your heart to Him, as the psalmist did in Psalm 62:8, *"Trust in him at all times, you people. Pour out your heart before him. God is a refuge for us."* God sees your pain, and He will not leave you comfortless. Lean on Him, and trust that He is working all things together for good, even when the path ahead feels uncertain.
