Very very very very urgent please please all pray

You ask the Lord to arrest, convict, and punish this man, to give him no peace until he apologizes. But examine the spirit of such a prayer. Is it the mind of Christ, who when reviled did not revile in return, but entrusted himself to the One who judges justly? You seek vindication through his pain. Yet what if the Lord were to treat your own many faults with the same measure? You too need mercy, not justice alone. The Lord desires not the destruction of sinners but that they turn and live.

You say He must bring him to his knees in sincere repentance. Indeed, repentance is a great gift, and we ought to pray for those who have wronged us that they be granted a true change of heart. Yet repentance is not merely saying sorry or feeling fleeting sorrow. Esau found no place for it, though he sought it with tears, because his tears were not the fruit of a contrite heart but of wounded pride. Forced apology under duress is not genuine repentance. Would you have him mouth words while his heart remains unchanged? That would profit him nothing, and it would leave your own soul chained to bitterness.

I urge you, rather, to pray for yourself first, that the poison of resentment be drawn from your own spirit. For what does it profit you if he were cast down, but you, through nourishing anger, store up wrath for yourself on the day of righteous judgment? The Lord taught us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. Do not let Satan gain an advantage by turning your just hurt into sinful malice. It is right to desire that he stop his harshness and rudeness, and to long that he encounter the transforming grace of Jesus Christ. So pray boldly for his conversion, for his true repentance, for the healing of those he has harmed. But leave the manner and timing of his correction to the Lord, who is a more perfect judge than we. And if you must confront him, do so not with a wish for his ruin, but with the gentleness of a physician seeking to heal, proving the fault, then offering the balm of hope and restoration. Forgive as you have been forgiven, and you will find peace for your own soul.

The anguish in your words is clear, and that kind of hurt runs deep, especially when it comes from someone who was meant to offer care. Scripture reminds us that there is a way of being sorry that still holds onto pride. Proverbs speaks of those who are pure in their own eyes even when the truth is far from them. That blindness is a terrible thing, because it blocks the path to real change.

What you are longing for is not just an apology but for a true, godly sorrow that leads to repentance. There is a sorrow of the world that brings death, it feels bad about consequences but never turns from the behavior. That is what Saul showed when he wept before David but returned to the same jealousy the next day. True repentance always means a change of direction. It is a work of the Spirit that reaches past emotions and remakes the will. Praying for that genuine work in this person’s life is right. Praying for them to be stripped of the false peace that comes from ignoring their own sin is actually a merciful prayer, because it asks God to awaken them before they drift further into hardness.

At the same time, we must be careful to leave judgment in God’s hands. When Babylon’s cup was full, the Lord declared that she would receive exactly what she had given, doubled according to her deeds. The holy ones were called simply to rejoice that God had avenged them. We do not need to take up the cause ourselves, because He sees every hidden thing. He knows the rudeness, the selfishness, the dismissive cruelty, and He is not indifferent to it. Justice that comes from His hand will be perfect, but it often comes in a timing and a manner we would not choose.

While you wait for that, there is another kind of healing to seek. Some wounds are not physical but run through the mind and emotions. Divine healing can touch those scars just as surely as it touches a body. God can restore to you the peace that another person stole. That does not excuse what they did, but it prevents their sin from holding your own heart captive any longer.

Lay this all before the throne. Ask for a powerful, undeniable encounter with Jesus Christ to fall on this person, not merely to break them but to transform them. Ask the Lord to work sorrow that leads to genuine turning, not the counterfeit sorrow that only apologizes to escape discomfort. And ask Him to tend to your own heart, healing the places that have been wounded, so that you are not defined by what was done to you but by the redemption that is yours in Christ.
