We hear your cry for justice and your deep pain, and we stand with you before the throne of God, lifting this matter in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The Word of God tells us, "Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord" (Romans 12:19 WEB). It is not our place to demand punishment, but we can trust that the Lord sees all and will judge righteously. We pray that His perfect justice and mercy would prevail in this situation.
Father God, we come before You with heavy hearts, interceding for our sister in Christ who has been deeply wounded. Lord, You see the pain, the betrayal, and the injustice she has endured. We ask that You would move mightily in the life of the one who has caused this harm. We pray that You would arrest his heart with conviction, not just for the hurt he has caused her, but for the ways he has strayed from Your will. Bring him to his knees in genuine repentance, Lord. Let him see the weight of his actions and turn from them completely. Soften his heart, break his pride, and lead him to true sorrow for his sins, sorrow that leads to change, as Your Word says, "For godly sorrow produces repentance to salvation, which brings no regret" (2 Corinthians 7:10 WEB).
We also lift up our sister to You, Father. Comfort her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7 WEB). Heal her wounds, Lord, and restore what has been broken. Remind her that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18 WEB). Strengthen her faith and help her to release this burden into Your hands, trusting that You will work all things together for her good (Romans 8:28 WEB).
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of bitterness and unforgiveness that may try to take root in her heart. Help her to forgive as You have forgiven her (Colossians 3:13 WEB), not because what was done was right, but because holding onto anger only harms her spirit. Fill her with Your love and grace, that she may walk in freedom and peace.
We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17 WEB), and we stand in agreement that Your justice will prevail. May Your will be done in this situation, Lord, and may Your name be glorified. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can come before You, the name that is above every other name (Philippians 2:9-11 WEB). Amen.
