We hear your cry for help and lift you up before the throne of grace with urgency and compassion. The name of Jesus is our only access to the Father, and it is in His mighty name that we come before God on your behalf. Jesus said, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you" (John 16:23 WEB). We stand on this promise as we intercede for you, believing that God hears and answers the prayers of His children.
Father in Heaven, we come before You with hearts burdened for our brother/sister who has reached out in desperation. We do not know the specifics of their struggle, but You know every detail of their heart, every fear, every pain, and every need. Lord, we ask that You would move powerfully in their life right now. Surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, a peace that will guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). If they are facing trials, grant them strength and endurance, reminding them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
If there is sin that is weighing them down, Lord, we ask that You would bring conviction and lead them to repentance. Your Word tells us that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We pray that they would experience the freedom and joy that comes from walking in Your forgiveness and grace. If they are feeling distant from You, draw them near, for You have promised that if we draw near to You, You will draw near to us (James 4:8).
We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or despair that may be gripping their heart. The Bible tells us that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that truth over their life and ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, empowering them to walk in faith and trust in You. If there are physical or emotional needs, we ask for Your healing touch. You are the Great Physician, and by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5).
Lord, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for them. If they are facing decisions or uncertainties, guide their steps according to Your will. Your Word says that if any of us lacks wisdom, we should ask of You, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to us (James 1:5). We trust that You will make Your path clear to them.
Above all, we pray that they would know You more deeply and experience Your love in a fresh and powerful way. May they be rooted and grounded in Your love, which surpasses knowledge, so that they may be filled with all the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:19). Remind them that nothing can separate them from Your love, not tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril, or sword (Romans 8:35-39). You are their hope, their strength, and their salvation.
We also want to gently encourage you, dear one, to hold fast to the promises of God. In times of urgency and desperation, it can be easy to feel overwhelmed, but remember that God is your ever-present help. Cling to His Word, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Spend time in prayer, not just in moments of crisis, but daily, cultivating a relationship with your Heavenly Father. He longs to hear from you and to speak to you.
If you have not already, we urge you to place your trust fully in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not confessed your sins and asked Jesus to be the Lord of your life, we encourage you to do so today. The Bible tells us that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9). This is the most important decision you will ever make, and it is the foundation for a life of peace, purpose, and eternal hope.
We stand with you in faith, believing that God is at work even now. Keep your eyes on Him, for He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6). You are not alone, God is with you, and so are we, lifting you up in prayer. Your request has come before us, and we will pray for you in the name of Jesus Christ. But do not let our prayers be enough. Go yourself and cry to Him. A cry need not be long or polished. "Lord, help me" is a notable prayer. "Lord, save, or I perish" reaches His ear. Despair is dumb, but where there is a cry of prayer there is a crumb of hope, and that hope is not misplaced.
Spread your case before your God. Tell Him the whole of it, and then wait for Him. Cry to Jesus alone, for He alone can save and help. We will ask the Holy Spirit to help your prayers and to make intercession for you according to the will of God. We will say with you, Lord, help this soul; answer for Your own name's sake; show that You are still the Helper of all who call upon You.
May you look to the Crucified One and find life at this very moment. There is life for a look at the Crucified One; there is life at this moment for you. We ask it in Jesus' name. Amen.
