Turns to God Acts 3:19, Washing and Renewal by The Holy Spirit, Tit 3:3-8 👁 Opened by of God's 2 Cor 4:4-6, Repents of being own god choosing good and evil for herself apart from God's Word, Gen 3:1-15 (It's not working well for her)... New Ezek 36:26 Experiences New Birth Jesus said is a necessity, Jn 3:3-7... Father, You will that none would perish but all come to repentance, 2 Pet 3:9. Grant her wisdom and revelation to actually know You, Eph 1:17. The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of The Holy one is understanding, Prov 9:10. Surely You take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather they turn from their evil ways and live, Ezek 33:11... You desire all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, 1 Tim 2:4. Eternal fire was prepared for the devil and his angels, Matt 25:41, not humans that were originally made to image God, Gen 1:27.

We ask for grace and discipline to add fasting, Mk 4:29, which the early church said, "fasting and giving lends wings to prayer," (Tertullian, 155AD - 240AD). Help the one compassionate, honest and understanding family member learn to fear God all the day long, Prov 23:17, get saved herself, and witness to truth, 1 Tim 4:16. Forgive this one who has broken covenantal faith and vows with no remorse or repentance, for leading men into adultery and thus destruction, Prov 6:32, for neglecting pastoral counsel, texts and phone calls for months. If a king's heart is as channels of water in Your hand, Prov 21:1, how much more an individual that has chosen to feed on raisin cakes and needs repentance from serious sins, which Hosea's "deal with her" was based on repentance, see Hos 3:1-5. As this one is unwilling to reconcile, wants divorce, says we are done and though I've reached out, prayed and fasted, is still as unwilling to return a text, much less return to me as most of Jerusalem was unwilling to gather under the wings of God Almighty or come to Jesus, over which He publicly wept, they having stoned those sent to rescue them, Matt 23:37... Thankfully she is in a country that is impossible to get a divorce. I know I have the adultery clause from Jesus which allows me to divorce and remarry, Matt 5:32, Matt 19:9, however only in The Lord, 1 Cor 7:39, see being equally yoked, 2 Cor 6:14-15, Old Testament precedent, Gen 24:3-4. And is she is unsaved, which everything indicates, there is the desertion by an unbelieving spouse clause, 1 Cor 7:15, where traditional, modern and ancient Jewish theology all allow for remarriage as if the unbelieving spouse (or adulteress) "were dead." However I am thinking and asking for repentance and salvation here, 2 Peter 3:9, 1 Tim 2:1-4, and ask that THAT may yield a remarkable testimony of God's saving grace, 1 Tim 1:15-16, and exemplify Christ and The Church, Eph 5:32-33. So I again ask for wisdom, Prov 2:1-5, Col 1:9-10, James 1:5, and for love to abound in knowledge and discernment to choose the highest, Phil 1:9-11, yet asking for it loosely as CHRIST in the Garden of Gethsemane, Matt 26:39, Mk 14:36, Luke 22:42 -- Your will be done, Heb 5:7.

Soften her heart and protect her (also the youth, and all of us that actually ask God to save her so the little ones do not stumble, Mt 18:16, Mk 9:42, Lk 17:2), keep her from temptation and evil, Matt 6:13. Let LIGHT SHINE that penetrates darkness, Jn 1:5, 1 Jn 1:5, 2 Cor 4:4, 2 Cor 4:6, to open their eyes, turning this one from the power of darkness to light, and power of satan to God, that they may partake of the inheritance along with all who are sanctified by faith in Jesus Christ, Acts 26:18, 1 Cor 1:30. Help her, them (and all of us) use our "Bible Apps" and understand what it says enough to let the Words You have caused to live inside become flesh in real life, Jn 1:12, James 1:22-23. Let "Jesus Christ's love be publicly portrayed," Gal 3:1, and model it to each and every family member, those most near and dear and beyond and blinded -- let us be living epistles known and read by all, 2 Cor 3:2. All Scripture is inspired by God Almighty and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right," 2 Tim 3:15-16. "Do not take us out of the world, but keep us from the evil one," John 17:15. "Sanctify us by the truth; Your word is truth," John 17:17. Thank you in The Name of Jesus, The One Mediator between God and Man, 1 Tim 2:5, in Jesus' Name.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this deeply painful situation before His throne of grace. The brokenness in this marriage is evident, and the wounds run deep, betrayal, hardness of heart, and a refusal to reconcile have left devastation in their wake. Yet even in this, we know that God is able to do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). We stand on His promises, believing that what the enemy meant for harm, the Lord can turn for good (Genesis 50:20).

First, we rebuke the spirit of rebellion and hardness of heart that has taken root. The Word declares, "Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts" (Hebrews 3:15). We pray that the scales would fall from her eyes, that the god of this world would no longer blind her mind to the truth of the gospel (2 Corinthians 4:4). Lord, break the chains of deception, let her see her sin for what it is: a rejection of Your design, a violation of covenant, and a path leading to destruction. We ask that You would grant her godly sorrow that leads to repentance, not the sorrow of the world that leads to death (2 Corinthians 7:10). Soften her heart, O God, as only You can. Remove the heart of stone and give her a heart of flesh (Ezekiel 36:26).

We also lift up the one who has been wounded by this betrayal. The pain of adultery is grievous, and the Word does not minimize it: "He who commits adultery with a woman lacks understanding; he who does it destroys his own soul" (Proverbs 6:32). Yet even in this, we are called to forgive as we have been forgiven (Colossians 3:13). This does not mean ignoring sin or pretending it did not happen, but rather entrusting justice to the Lord while extending grace. We pray for wisdom for you, dear brother, as you navigate this season. The Scriptures do allow for divorce in cases of adultery (Matthew 19:9) and desertion by an unbelieving spouse (1 Corinthians 7:15), but we also know that God’s heart is for reconciliation when possible. We ask that You would give clarity, strength, and discernment to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him (Colossians 1:10).

We rebuke the spirit of division in this family. The enemy seeks to destroy marriages and families, but we declare that no weapon formed against this union shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray for the salvation of this spouse, that she would come to know Christ as Savior and Lord. The Word says, "The Lord is not slow concerning His promise, as some count slowness; but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9). We stand on this promise, believing that God can redeem even the most broken situations. We ask that You would draw her to Yourself, that she would turn from her sin and run to the cross.

We also lift up the youth in this situation. Children are a heritage from the Lord (Psalm 127:3), and we pray that they would not stumble because of this trial. Protect their hearts, Lord, and let them see Your faithfulness even in the midst of brokenness. We pray that they would grow in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man (Luke 2:52).

To the one who has reached out in love, we say this: Your prayers and fasting are not in vain. The early church understood that "fasting and giving lend wings to prayer" (Tertullian), and we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord with all your heart. The battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). Clothe yourself in the full armor of God, standing firm in truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God (Ephesians 6:13-17).

We also address the issue of salvation. The request does not explicitly mention faith in Jesus Christ, and we must emphasize that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Salvation comes through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8-9). If this spouse does not know Christ, we pray that she would come to a saving knowledge of Him. If she does, we pray that she would return to her first love (Revelation 2:4-5).

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts burdened by the brokenness in this marriage. We ask that You would move in mighty ways, softening hearts and opening eyes to the truth of Your Word. Lord, we pray for repentance, true repentance that leads to life. Break the chains of sin and deception, and let Your light shine in the darkness. We pray for wisdom and discernment for the one who has been wounded, that they would walk in a manner worthy of You, fully pleasing to You. We pray for the salvation of this spouse, that she would come to know You as Savior and Lord. Protect the hearts of the youth, and let them see Your faithfulness even in this trial. We ask that You would heal this marriage, if it be Your will, or grant clarity and strength to walk in Your ways. May Your name be glorified in all things. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord, trusting that He is working even when you cannot see it. The Word says, "And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart" (Galatians 6:9). Stand firm in faith, knowing that God is faithful to His promises. If reconciliation is not possible, trust that He will lead you in the path of righteousness for His name’s sake (Psalm 23:3). You are not alone in this battle, we stand with you, lifting you up in prayer.

We hear the weight in your words, the long ache of waiting, the prayers that feel unanswered, the grief of a marriage that looks more like a death right now. You are not foolish for still asking God to save her and restore what is broken. That hope isn't weakness; it sits right alongside your surrender to God's will, and we sense both are genuine.

While you cannot soften her heart, you can tend your own soul in this long season. The emotional toll of a spouse who has walked away is profound, comparable in many ways to the grief process that follows the death of a marriage. People in your position often carry anger, fear, and a crushing sense of rejection. Those feelings need honest attention, not spiritual bypass. We'd gently encourage you to find at least one wise, trustworthy person, a pastor, a mature friend, or a Christian counselor, with whom you can speak openly about the loneliness and the questions you're carrying. You were not made to carry this alone, and isolation only deepens the pain.

As much as you can, resist the pull to fixate on what she is doing and whether she will return. That isn't within your control, and rehearsing it exhausts you. One grounded next step is to attend to the three relationships that form the foundation of any future reconciliation: your intimacy with God, your honest understanding of yourself, and your connection with a supportive community. Those are the things you can nurture right now, regardless of what she chooses.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this man who is hurting and weary from loving someone who has turned away. You see the long nights, the silence when a text goes unanswered, the ache of a covenant broken. Protect him from despair and from the temptation to harden his own heart. Guard her from every evil and deception, and in Your mercy and Your timing, bring genuine conviction and new life where there is now only hardness. Give him steady, daily grace to live faithfully before You, whether this marriage is restored or not. Sustain him with Your presence, and surround him with people who will carry this burden with him. In Your name we pray, amen.

It is a mercy that you so earnestly desire the salvation of this precious soul, for such desires are born of God. Yet ponder well what is the true turning to God of which the Scripture speaks. A man may be brought by sharp judgments to a carnal repentance, which is but the vomit of a dog, and return again to his folly. That repentance which flows only from the terrors of law does but harden while it works alone. The new heart, the heart of flesh, is the gift of God. He will give it to whom He pleases, and no cry for a new heart ever came from a soul until the heart had already been renewed. You must be born again. There is no birthright godliness; that which is born of the flesh is flesh.

You have fasted and prayed, and it is good. Yet remember that it is not by your tears or your fasting that the heart of stone is taken away. It is a sense of blood-bought pardon that dissolves the heart of stone. The love of Christ is the great motive force. Oh, that this poor wanderer might see Christ crucified for her, that she might know the love that passes knowledge! Not only the love of His heart, but His heart itself! He gave Himself for His church. Preach to her by your own example of patient, hoping love, by the epistles written not with ink but by the Spirit, known and read of all men.

But I must also ask: is your own heart broken and contrite? No one ever worshipped God with his whole heart unless he worshipped him with a broken heart. Beware, lest you, in seeking her repentance, become as the Pharisee, thanking God that you are not as other men. You, too, need great grace to love the unlovely, to forgive seventy times seven, and to walk in the footsteps of Him who wept over Jerusalem. Love becomes the distinguishing mark of the new life.

Her path is dark, and she is as one who chooses to feed on raisin cakes, leading men to destruction. But the king's heart is in the Lord's hand. He who turned the heart of Manasseh in the dungeon can turn her. Pray still, but pray with submission: Not my will, but Thine be done. He who began the work will complete it. If she be elect of God, she shall be brought in, though the way be rough. And you, if you keep His commandments and walk in love, shall have confidence before God.

Perhaps it is that the Lord has stayed the legal proceedings that there might be space for repentance. Wait on Him with patience. Do not look down upon her, but let your love be as Christ's, which covers a multitude of sins. Repentance and faith are inseparable twins; pray that she may believe, and so repent unto life. The Holy Spirit must work it, for no power of man can create a clean heart. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. That must be her cry, and your cry too.

I pray with you that Light may shine out of darkness, to open her eyes, that she may turn from the power of Satan to God. And when she does, there will be a new song, a new heart, and joy unspeakable and full of glory. Until then, walk humbly with your God, and let Christ's love be publicly portrayed in your life. If our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things. So cast yourself upon Him.
