Grant her wisdom and revelation to actually know You, Eph 1:17. The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of The Holy one is understanding, Prov 9:10. Surely You take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather they turn from their evil ways and live, Ezek 33:11... You desire all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, 1 Tim 2:4. Eternal fire was prepared for the devil and his angels, Matt 25:41, not humans that were originally made to image God, Gen 1:27.

We ask for grace and discipline to add fasting, Mk 4:29, which the early church said, "fasting and giving lends wings to prayer," (Tertullian, 155AD - 240AD). Help the one compassionate, honest and understanding family member learn to fear God all the day long, Prov 23:17, get saved herself, and witness to truth, 1 Tim 4:16. Forgive this one who has broken covenantal faith and vows with no remorse or repentance, for leading men into adultery and thus destruction, Prov 6:32, for neglecting pastoral counsel, texts and phone calls for months. If a king's heart is as channels of water in Your hand, Prov 21:1, how much more an individual that has chosen to feed on raisin cakes and needs repentance from serious sins, which Hosea's "deal with her" was based on repentance, see Hos 3:1-5. As this one is unwilling to reconcile, wants divorce, says we are done and though I've reached out, prayed and fasted, is still as unwilling to return a text, much less return to me as most of Jerusalem was unwilling to gather under the wings of God Almighty or come to Jesus, over which He publicly wept, they having stoned those sent to rescue them, Matt 23:37... Thankfully she is in a country that is impossible to get a divorce. I know I have the adultery clause from Jesus which allows me to divorce and remarry, Matt 5:32, Matt 19:9, however only in The Lord, 1 Cor 7:39, see being equally yoked, 2 Cor 6:14-15, Old Testament precedent, Gen 24:3-4. And is she is unsaved, which everything indicates, there is the desertion by an unbelieving spouse clause, 1 Cor 7:15, where traditional, modern and ancient Jewish theology all allow for remarriage as if the unbelieving spouse (or adulteress) "were dead." However I am thinking and asking for repentance and salvation here, 2 Peter 3:9, 1 Tim 2:1-4, and ask that THAT may yield a remarkable testimony of God's saving grace, 1 Tim 1:15-16, and exemplify Christ and The Church, Eph 5:32-33. So I again ask for wisdom, Prov 2:1-5, Col 1:9-10, James 1:5, and for love to abound in knowledge and discernment to choose the highest, Phil 1:9-11, yet asking for it loosely as CHRIST in the Garden of Gethsemane, Matt 26:39, Mk 14:36, Luke 22:42 -- Your will be done, Heb 5:7.

Soften her heart and protect her (also the youth, and all of us that actually ask God to save her so the little ones do not stumble, Mt 18:16, Mk 9:42, Lk 17:2), keep her from temptation and evil, Matt 6:13. Let LIGHT SHINE that penetrates darkness, Jn 1:5, 1 Jn 1:5, 2 Cor 4:4, 2 Cor 4:6, to open their eyes, turning this one from the power of darkness to light, and power of satan to God, that they may partake of the inheritance along with all who are sanctified by faith in Jesus Christ, Acts 26:18, 1 Cor 1:30. Help her, them (and all of us) use our "Bible Apps" and understand what it says enough to let the Words You have caused to live inside become flesh in real life, Jn 1:12, James 1:22-23. Let "Jesus Christ's love be publicly portrayed," Gal 3:1, and model it to each and every family member, those most near and dear and beyond and blinded -- let us be living epistles known and read by all, 2 Cor 3:2. All Scripture is inspired by God Almighty and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right," 2 Tim 3:15-16. "Do not take us out of the world, but keep us from the evil one," John 17:15. "Sanctify us by the truth; Your word is truth," John 17:17. Thank you in The Name of Jesus, The One Mediator between God and Man, 1 Tim 2:5, in Jesus' Name.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation with fervent prayer and deep concern. The pain of a broken marriage, the hardness of heart, and the spiritual battle raging in this home are not lost on us. We stand in the gap, pleading for God’s mercy, intervention, and redemption in this family’s life.

First, we acknowledge the weight of sin, both the sin of adultery and the sin of hardness of heart. The Word of God is clear: "He who commits adultery with a woman lacks understanding; he who does it destroys his own soul" (Proverbs 6:32). The breaking of covenantal vows is a grievous offense before the Lord, and the refusal to repent or even engage in reconciliation is a sign of a heart that has turned away from God’s design for marriage. Marriage is a sacred covenant, not a contract to be discarded when convenience wanes. "Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate" (Matthew 19:6). Yet we also recognize that in cases of unrepentant adultery or abandonment by an unbelieving spouse, Scripture provides a path for divorce and remarriage (Matthew 5:32, 1 Corinthians 7:15). However, our hearts cry out not for division, but for restoration, if it be God’s will.

We rebuke the spirit of rebellion and deception that has taken root in this home. The enemy has blinded eyes and hardened hearts (2 Corinthians 4:4), but we declare that the light of Christ is more powerful than any darkness. "The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death, a light has dawned" (Isaiah 9:2). We pray that the scales would fall from her eyes, that she would see the destruction of her ways, and that she would turn from her sin with godly sorrow. "Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord" (Acts 3:19).

We also lift up the one who has been wronged, who has shown such patience, love, and longing for reconciliation. Your heart reflects the heart of Christ, who wept over Jerusalem’s hardness (Matthew 23:37) and yet extended grace even to those who crucified Him. We pray that you would not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9), that you would be strengthened by the Holy Spirit, and that you would walk in wisdom. If this marriage cannot be restored, we pray that God would grant you the peace and clarity to move forward in a way that honors Him, whether through divorce or patient endurance. But above all, we pray for her salvation, for "the Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9).

We also intercede for the family members caught in the middle of this storm. The youth in this home need protection, guidance, and godly examples. We pray that they would not stumble because of the hardness of hearts around them (Matthew 18:6), but that they would see the love of Christ lived out in real and tangible ways. We ask that the one family member who has shown compassion and concern would grow in the fear of the Lord (Proverbs 23:17) and be a bold witness for truth in this home.

Father, we ask that You would soften her heart, break the chains of deception, and draw her to Yourself. "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh" (Ezekiel 36:26). We pray that she would come to know You, not just as a distant concept, but as her Savior and Lord. We pray that she would experience the new birth that Jesus spoke of, "Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again" (John 3:3). Let the truth of Your Word pierce through the darkness, and let the love of Christ compel her to repentance.

We also ask for wisdom and discernment for all involved. The path forward is not easy, and the decisions to be made are weighty. We pray that You would grant supernatural wisdom (James 1:5), that You would fill hearts with Your love and truth, and that You would guide every step according to Your perfect will. Whether through restoration or separation, we ask that Your name would be glorified and that Your kingdom would advance.

Lord, we declare that You are the God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). We ask that You would heal the wounds in this marriage, in this family, and in every heart affected by this pain. We ask that You would protect minds from bitterness, hearts from hardness, and spirits from despair. We pray that You would surround this family with Your peace, Your presence, and Your people, those who will speak truth in love and walk alongside them in this season.

We also lift up the act of fasting, which you have mentioned. Fasting is a powerful spiritual discipline that humbles the soul and aligns the heart with God’s will. "But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you" (Matthew 6:17-18). We pray that this time of fasting would draw you closer to the heart of God, that it would sharpen your spiritual discernment, and that it would release breakthrough in this situation.

Finally, we declare that no situation is beyond Your reach. You are the God who raises the dead, who turns hearts of stone into hearts of flesh, and who makes all things new. We trust in Your sovereignty, Your mercy, and Your unfailing love. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12), the only mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5). May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in this family’s life. Amen.

We can feel how much you love your wife through every word of your request. It’s clear you’ve been carrying this burden for a long time, praying, fasting, and holding on to hope for her salvation and for the restoration of your marriage. That kind of faithful, aching love is something we honor, and we believe God sees it too. You are not forgotten in the waiting.

While you keep bringing your wife before the Lord, it may help to also let a few trusted brothers in Christ walk alongside you through this. The pain of watching someone you love walk away, with no sign of return, is its own kind of grief, and grief needs space to be felt, not just carried. You’ve poured yourself out in prayer for her, but your own heart matters deeply to God as well. Sometimes we need others to hold us up when our own strength fades.

You asked for wisdom, and we join you in that prayer. Part of that wisdom may be learning how to care for your own soul in this long season, even while you continue to hope. The goal isn’t to stop believing for her, but to entrust her fully into God’s hands, your open hands, so that what remains in you is peace, not desperation. That’s a daily surrender, and it’s okay when it feels hard.

As you lean into your local church family, consider sharing your burden with a pastor or a mature friend who will pray with you in person and keep pointing you to Christ. Isolation can magnify the ache; community can steady it.

Lord, we bring this husband to You, tired yet holding on. Comfort him in his loneliness. Guard his mind from bitterness, and fill him with Your peace that passes understanding. We ask again for his wife, that Your kindness would lead her to repentance, that You would remove whatever blinds her, and that she would come to know Jesus as Lord. Protect all involved, especially the young ones. And give this man exactly what he needs to endure today. In Jesus’ name.

Beware of a repentance which springs alone from terror, comes up in a night and withers in a night. The judgments of God in themselves can never work evangelical repentance; it is only a sense of blood-bought pardon that dissolves the heart of stone. Yet that very heart of stone He has promised to remove, and to give a heart of flesh. No man ever cried for a new heart until he had one, for the cry itself proves the new heart is there. So I do not bid you look within as though you could draw up repentance from the depths of your own nature. Go rather to Christ and ask Him to work repentance in you and in her by His Holy Spirit, through believing the truth of God.

The father saw the prodigal when he was yet a great way off, and ran. The eyes of mercy are quicker than the eyes of repentance. He saw a sinner long before the sinner saw Him. Even now, while she is far off, His heart yearns. His much kissing means much forgiveness; before the details of sin are confessed, He is ready to fall upon the neck. Take heart from Manasseh, that wild, degenerate shoot of a noble vine, whose heart had been the palace of Satan, yet was brought to repentance. If such a wretch was converted, surely none need despair. The Lord simply gives a new heart because He wishes to do it; that is His only reason. Wait upon Him, and let your own heart be broken in the waiting, for no one ever worshipped God with his whole heart unless he worshipped with a broken heart.

Let your repentance be of that dove-eyed sort which looks at His bleeding wounds and feels her heart must bleed because she wounded Christ. This is the repentance that glorifies God, setting the sinner ever after craving after holiness. And remember, the true sign of pardon is not a mere hopeful mark but a sure and infallible token: if any man’s heart is turned away from sin, remission is preached in His name. Yet repentance is a lifelong act. Even the most sincere penitent feels himself partially impenitent. Let your own soul be kept tender, serious, and in earnest, fleeing frivolity, for a broken heart is never divided. Then, in secret, pour out liquid songs of gratitude, and let your silence sing His praise.

That same Spirit who produces the cry in your heart can create a new heart in her. Your part is to abide in faith and love, for love becomes the distinguishing mark of the new life. Keep pleading the blood, keep hoping against hope, and let the truth be written on your own heart as a living epistle known and read by all. And if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart and knows all things. Cast yourself and this burden upon Him who gave Himself, His hands and feet to the nails, His heart to the spear, for His Church. There is yet a day of power, His set time. Until then, let patience have her perfect work, and let your request be made known unto God.

The anguish of your soul is manifest, and the wrestling of your spirit is not hidden from God. You have set before the Lord a great request, that a heart of stone be exchanged for a heart of flesh, that one who has turned aside to her own way might be born anew. This is no small petition, for it seeks nothing less than a resurrection from the dead. And indeed, the birth from above is a new creation; God does not merely prop up a ruinous house but pulls it down to its foundations and builds it anew. This is the renewing of the Holy Ghost, and it lies wholly in His power, not in the persuasions of man.

Yet you must beware, lest your own reasonings, like those of Nicodemus, drag down the spiritual to the lowness of the flesh. He heard of the heavenly birth and thought only of a mother’s womb, inventing frivolous difficulties. When we commit spiritual things to our own understanding, we speak ridiculously and miss the submission of faith. The salvation of your wife is not a problem for you to solve by fasting and striving, as though you could by your own devices open eyes that the god of this world has blinded. That blindness, though terrible, is not beyond the light that shone out of darkness, the light that penetrates the heart when God commands it. And so you ask aright when you cast yourself upon the will of Him who desires all to be saved.

Yet consider this also: what His will often requires of us is a contrite and humbled heart, sober and full of compunction. These are His gifts, and we are in most need of them, for our wrestling is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual wickednesses. Ask not therefore for signs or swift resolutions, but for that godly sorrow which works repentance unto salvation without regret. Grieve then, but let your grief be of the kind Paul bore for others, out of much affliction and anguish of heart, with many tears, not for what you have lost, but for the soul that lies in peril. Such grief is noble, a participation in the sufferings of Christ, and the Lord pronounces blessed those who so mourn.

And should you grow weary under the burden of waiting, recall that righteousness comes by a short word. The Lord has made a short word upon the earth: if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. This short word carries not only salvation but also all that is needful for this present trial. For the spiritual man, the one who has the mind of the Spirit, knows that the Spirit Himself makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. He searches the hearts, and He knows what is the mind of the Spirit. Trust then in that intercession, which is wiser than all your pleas and more effectual than all your fasts.

As for the rights the Lord has given you, the clause of adultery, the liberty of an unbeliever’s departure, these are permissions within the law, but they are not the highest call. You yourself perceive this. To lay hold of divorce would be lawful, but to pursue reconciliation through the hope of her new birth is to walk according to love, which is the bond of perfection. Let love abound in knowledge and discernment, that you may choose the things that are excellent. And do not neglect the care of your own soul in this. It is a dangerous thing to handle such sorrows without a sober and awakened mind; if we are always taking things easily, even before the conflict we are overthrown by our own remissness. Watch therefore, and pray, for you know neither the day nor the hour when the Lord may answer.

In the end, we commend all to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think. He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it. Whether her return is granted or delayed, whether she is brought to repentance or remains in her blindness, see to it that you yourself are found faithful, a living epistle known and read by all, so that even her wandering heart may one day read in your long-suffering the very love of Christ.
