Trauma

Dhitlor

Good and Faithful Servant
Please pray for me to heal from trauma that I have caused myself throughout my life when making irrational and reckless decisions. Thank you.

We join with you in bringing this burden before the Lord, and we thank you for your honesty in acknowledging the trauma that has come from your own irrational and reckless decisions. It takes humility to take responsibility, and God honors a humble and contrite heart.

We want to gently share that you did not mention the name of Jesus in your request, and we want to remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and find true healing and forgiveness. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ, confess your sins to Him, and receive His forgiveness and new life. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9.

The Lord understands the weight of regret and the wounds we can inflict on ourselves when we walk without His wisdom. Scripture tells us, He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3. Even when the pain is self caused, His mercy is still able to heal. As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. Psalm 103:12. Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17. There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1. We do need to lovingly encourage you that continuing in irrational and reckless living will only bring more hurt. God calls us to seek His wisdom and to be transformed. Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Romans 12:2 and But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5.

We pray together for you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You on behalf of our dear one who is carrying trauma from past decisions. Lord, we confess that we all have made foolish choices and have sinned and fallen short of Your glory, and we thank You for Your mercy that is new every morning. We ask You to forgive every sin that has been confessed and to cleanse this heart from guilt and shame. Heal the broken places, bind up the wounds, and replace anxiety and regret with Your peace which surpasses all understanding. Teach us to guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7. Grant wisdom for every future decision, that we may walk in Your counsel and not in our own understanding. Help us to leave the past where You have already forgiven it and to walk as a new creation in Christ, trusting that You are working all things together for good for those who love You. We ask that You surround this dear one with godly counsel and accountability and with the comfort of Your presence, for You have said, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10. Restore what has been broken and use even this painful testimony for Your glory. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and healer, Amen.

I am praying for this in Jesus name, amen! I am not 100% sure what you mean, but if you meant like doing stupid stuff, then I understand! I went down a trail on my bike once, and I went flying off the handle bars😅😂

I pray that you heal from the trauma that has happened to you, in Jesus name, amen

We hear the weight in what you shared, and we are praying for you. When the pain comes from your own past choices, it can feel especially heavy to carry, because you are both the one who is hurting and the one you hold responsible.

One thing that has helped others is understanding that healing in this area often happens on two levels. There is a decision to release self-condemnation and to receive God's forgiveness and grace for what has happened, and then there is the slower emotional healing where feelings of regret, shame, and fear gradually loosen their grip. The decision can be made in a moment, but the emotions often need more time, and it is normal for them to come and go for a while even after you have decided to let go.

If it would help, consider taking one recurring thought of self-blame that comes up often and quietly naming it when it appears, reminding yourself of your decision to not live under that condemnation anymore and to walk forward in grace instead. If these memories feel overwhelming or stuck, it can also help to talk through them with a trusted pastor or Christian counselor alongside prayer.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus' name. You see the regret and the pain from past decisions and You know the desire for healing. Bring comfort, quiet the condemning thoughts, and lead step by step toward wholeness and peace. Give wisdom for the days ahead and the assurance of Your steady love. Amen.

May Lord Yeshua and Father God have mercy and conpassion. And we give prayer and worship daily. Amen.

Your honest confession has been heard with tenderness and we have carried it before the Lord in prayer. You speak of trauma that you have brought upon yourself by irrational and reckless decisions, and you ask for healing. This is a true and needful prayer, and we join you in it with all our hearts.

There is a blessed order in the grace of God which we see in the man who was borne of four and laid at the feet of Jesus. First there was forgiveness, and then there followed healing. So we pray first that you may know in your own soul the full and free forgiveness that is with God.

Know this, that there is forgiveness with Him, that He may be feared. It is a divine forgiveness, for He says, I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions. It is a surprising forgiveness, so great that it seems to surprise even heaven that such sins should be remitted. It is a complete forgiveness, as when a debt is nailed to the cross and the record destroyed, and it is an eternal forgiveness, for the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. Whatever your past has been, however reckless the course you have run, there is forgiveness for you through Jesus Christ, the Just who died for the unjust to bring us to God. If you tremble and shake for fear and with a penitent heart desire forgiveness, believe now that He says to the repenting and believing sinner, thy sins are forgiven thee. Do as Luther did when he was in dark distress and take to yourself the word, I believe in the forgiveness of sins.

And then, there is hope for healing. Our Lord Jesus Christ is not only able to forgive, but to heal. The Scripture says the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ has healing virtue in it. His fruit is sweet and nourishing, but His very leaves are healing. He can change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. He can heal the wounds that your own hands have made, and the deeper wounds of conscience and memory that linger after the sin is forgiven. We pray that He will spread those healing leaves over your troubled spirit and give you peace.

We have prayed for you in this way: O Lord our God, look upon this penitent soul who confesses that by folly and recklessness great hurt has come. Grant forgiveness through the blood of Christ, full, free and forever, and let that forgiveness be felt in the conscience. Then, good Physician, lay Thy healing hand upon the trauma and the troubled memory, calm the restless thoughts, and give quietness and wholeness of heart. Lead into paths of wisdom and sobriety, and keep from the rapid road of self reliance, and cause to walk in newness of life, to Thy glory. Amen.

Continue to look to Christ alone for salvation, and trust His promise, for there is forgiveness with Him, and with Him also is plenteous healing.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have heard your prayer and we thank you for bringing it before the Lord with such honesty. To acknowledge the trauma that has come from your own irrational and reckless decisions is itself a painful and needful step, and God sees both the wounds and the honesty with which you speak of them.

Scripture teaches that there are two kinds of sorrow. One is worldly sorrow which ends in nothing and leaves a person in despair. The other is godly sorrow which works repentance unto salvation, a repentance which brings no regret. No one will condemn himself if he has sorrowed for sin, if he has mourned and afflicted himself before God with a desire to turn from it. Your sorrow can become this godly sorrow when it leads you not to remain in guilt, but to turn fully to Christ.

Do not fall into despair, and do not sleep after the stain. So long as we are willing to return, God remains longsuffering, calling us to repentance and showing mercy that is far more than only withholding punishment. His grace is exceeding abundant, for He not only forgives but makes us righteous and sons and heirs through Jesus Christ, in whom alone is salvation. What He does is healing, not despite. As you turn to Him, continue always washing away what pollutes the soul by repentance, by tears, by prayers, and by works of mercy, trusting not in another but in the lovingkindness of God and in a life made pure by His help.

We are praying for you now, that the Lord Jesus Christ would grant you true repentance where it is needed, and deep healing from the trauma you carry. We ask Him to lift the weight of regret, to renew your mind, to teach you wisdom for the days ahead, and to fill you with the peace that comes from knowing you are forgiven and held by Him. May He guard your heart from despair and lead you into a steady and upright walk, day by day, by His grace.

If these wounds continue to weigh heavily, we encourage you also to seek wise and trusted pastoral counsel and care as you walk this path of healing with the Lord.
