Time to go

Beloved of All
Please pray that God would send everyone demonizing me to the lake of burning fire in Jesus’ name. It’s been years.

We hear the deep pain and frustration in your words, and we want you to know that your hurt is not unseen by our Heavenly Father. The anger and desire for justice you express are understandable, especially after enduring years of being demonized by others. However, we must gently but firmly rebuke the spirit behind this request, for it does not align with the heart of Christ or the teachings of Scripture.

Jesus taught us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). He also warned us that if we do not forgive others, our Father in heaven will not forgive us (Matthew 6:15). The desire for eternal punishment upon others, while perhaps a natural human reaction, is not the way of the cross. Our Lord is a God of justice, yes, but He is also a God of mercy, and He calls us to extend that same mercy to others, even when it is difficult.

We must also remind you that vengeance belongs to the Lord (Romans 12:19). It is not our place to demand judgment upon others; God will judge righteously in His perfect timing. Instead, we are called to trust Him with our pain and release those who have wronged us into His hands.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who has endured years of hurt and persecution. Lord, we ask that You would heal the wounds in their heart and replace bitterness with Your peace. Help them to release those who have wronged them into Your hands, trusting You to bring justice in Your perfect way and time.

Father, we pray for those who have demonized them. Soften their hearts, Lord, and open their eyes to the truth of Your love. May they come to repentance and find salvation in Jesus Christ, rather than facing the judgment they deserve. Help our brother/sister to forgive as You have forgiven them, and fill them with Your love, even for those who have caused them pain.

We ask that You would surround them with Your presence, Lord, and remind them that they are deeply loved by You. Strengthen their faith and help them to walk in the light of Your truth, even in the midst of trials. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Friend, we encourage you to meditate on these Scriptures as you seek healing and peace:

"Beloved, don’t avenge yourselves, but rather give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'" (Romans 12:19)

"But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you." (Matthew 5:44)

"For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." (Matthew 6:14-15)

You are not alone in this struggle. Lean on the Lord, and allow His love to fill the places where pain has taken root. He is faithful, and He will carry you through.

We hear how long you have carried this, and how tired you must be after years of feeling demonized. Thank you for reaching out and letting us pray with you.

When the hurt has gone on this long, it is natural to long for God to bring a final and complete justice. We can leave that justice in His hands, trusting He sees what you have endured and will deal rightly with all evil, while we ask Him to guard and restore you day by day.

One steady step that helps many who feel spiritually oppressed is not to walk through it alone. If you have a trusted pastor or mature believer in your local church, would you consider sharing how long this has weighed on you and asking if they could meet with you regularly to pray with you and help you stay anchored. Having another person present with you can bring clarity and comfort when thoughts feel heavy.

We also want you to know you do not have to fight to prove anything to God. He already knows you and cares for your safety and peace.

Father, we lift our brother to You in Jesus name. We ask You to surround them with Your presence, to quiet what has tormented them, and to give them rest, protection, and clear wisdom for each next step. Bring trustworthy people alongside them and help them know they are held by You. We entrust all judgment to You and ask for Your mercy and healing in their life. Amen.

The weight of being slandered and opposed for years is a heavy burden, and to feel demonized by others brings a deep and lingering pain. It is understandable that the heart cries out for justice and for deliverance, and we hear how weary you are.

Yet the Scriptures teach us that vengeance belongs to the Lord, and He will repay with perfect righteousness. Our Lord Jesus calls His people not to pray for the damnation of their enemies, but to pray for their forgiveness and salvation, even as we have been forgiven. If God demanded the penalty in justice, He Himself supplied it in love at the Cross, and there is forgiveness with Him, that He may be feared.

We cannot join you in asking God to send any person to the lake of fire, for God Himself is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. The lake of burning fire is a fearful reality, and for that very reason we are taught to plead for mercy for others, as we plead for mercy for ourselves. Remember that we who have had so much forgiven ought to find it natural to forgive, for we have in Christ a full and eternal forgiveness.

Persecution in whatever form it comes, whether by cruel mockings, slander or spite, has often driven the children of God nearer to Himself in prayer. It keeps us from leaning on man and teaches us to trust not in ourselves, but wholly in the blood of Jesus Christ. It would be cheap faith to take Christ only as the saints' Savior, but it is the faith of God's elect to take Him as the sinner's Savior, and to say, I got it straight from the throne of God by trusting in the blood of Jesus Christ.

So we will pray for you, not for the destruction of those who have harmed you, but for your deliverance and peace. We pray that God would guard your heart from fear, that you would be enabled to trust and not fear, that He would lift this long oppression from you, and give you grace to forgive as you have been forgiven, and to leave all judgment in His holy and just hands. We pray also that those who have opposed you may come to know that same forgiveness which is found only through Jesus Christ, for there is forgiveness with Him, and that forgiveness is to be had now by believing on His Son.

May the Lord who completes the work He begins, keep you resting in Christ and bearing fruit unto God, and may He turn your many prayers under this trial into nearer communion with Himself.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The pain of being demonized and worn down for years is heavy, and God sees how long you have carried it. It is understandable to cry out for justice when hurt has gone on for so long.

Scripture teaches that vengeance belongs to the Lord, and He says, I will recompense. That word is given to comfort those who suffer, not to stir us to delight in the punishment of others, but to assure us that God is alive and just and will set all things right in His own time. He has sat down at the right hand of God until His enemies are put under His feet, and the delay before that final justice is not neglect. It is mercy, giving time for repentance and for faith to grow. If God had brought immediate vengeance, there would be no space for those who will yet turn to Him. Even Manasseh, after great wickedness and bloodshed, was washed clean when he turned in repentance. The delay that feels so hard for you is also the time in which God is still calling people to turn and in which He is forming patience and faith in you as you endure.

To ask God to send people to the lake of burning fire is to ask for their final condemnation while God is still holding out His hand, offering baptism for the remission of sins, deliverance from vengeance, and an inheritance in His kingdom. He desires repentance rather than destruction, and He calls us not to pronounce final judgment on others, lest we make the judgment seat more dreadful for ourselves. Stephen, while being stoned, prayed, lay not this sin to their charge, entrusting his enemies to God rather than calling down final wrath on them.

So we will not join you in praying for the damnation of those who have harmed you, but we will pray with you for what God does promise to give.

Let us pray that God will lift this burden from you, guard your heart from bitterness, and give you patience and steady faith under pressure. Let us pray that He will bring justice in His perfect way and time, that He will stop the harm being done against you, and that He will vindicate what is true. Let us pray also for those who have demonized you, that God would bring them to see what they have done and to repent and find mercy while there is still time, and that if they do not repent, God in His righteousness will judge as only He can. And let us pray that you will know comfort not only in the hope of future justice but in present grace, in being cleansed, strengthened, and kept close to Christ who suffered for you and who will keep you.

If this hurt continues, please stay connected to faithful believers near you, a pastor or trusted Christians who can walk with you, listen, and help you bear this burden in a steady way. You are not alone, and God has not forgotten you.

It is heavy to carry the feeling of being demonized and targeted for years, and it is understandable that you would long for God to step in and bring it to an end and to vindicate you.

Scripture shows that God does see persecution and oppression, and He is the righteous Judge. The Psalms are full of honest cries for deliverance from enemies, and the apostles taught that when God finally judges the world it will be a clear display of His righteousness. Those who have inflicted tribulation and suffering will be dealt with by Him. True and equal justice does not fully prevail in this life, it will only prevail when God judges the earth in righteousness. Vengeance belongs to Him, not to us to assign, and the lake of burning fire is His final judgment to render at His appointed time, not ours to send people to by our prayers.

That is why the example of David is so important. He knew what it was to be pursued and slandered by enemies, and he is called a man after God's own heart, yet when he came before God his cry was not give me justice, but have mercy upon me, O God. Justice is receiving what we deserve, mercy is not receiving what we deserve. None of us can stand before God on the ground that we are good enough to demand justice from Him, for we all need mercy. David found forgiveness not by justifying himself or covering his sin, but by openly acknowledging his transgression before God. As long as we hide or excuse sin, God cannot deal with it, but when we confess it, He deals with it fully.

God's forgiveness when it comes is total and complete. He invites us to reason together with Him and promises that though sins are as scarlet they shall be as white as snow. When He forgives, He does not bury the hatchet and leave the handle showing so He can pull it up again. He cleanses and justifies completely. We are then called to be followers of God in that same forgiveness, to forgive as we have been forgiven. Jesus taught this so strongly that when Peter asked if forgiving seven times was enough, He pointed to a far greater measure of forgiveness. That kind of forgiving love reflects the self giving love with which Christ loved us and gave Himself for us.

Persecution itself, as painful as it is, has often been used by God to refine His people. The early church faced heavy persecution soon after it began, and those believers were sincere and seeking God. Their faith grew exceedingly and their love for one another abounded. History shows that persecution never destroyed the true church, it separated what was real from what was not and caused faith to grow and the message to spread even more, while the church often waned when persecution ceased. God was able to deliver His people even when they were vastly outnumbered, and He put their enemies to flight, yet when His people forgot Him, He allowed oppression to bring them back to crying out to Him for deliverance. Our trust is not to be in our own strength or in our own ability to push down our enemies, but in God who saves us from our enemies and puts to shame those who hate us. Even when we are counted as sheep for the slaughter and face tribulation and peril for His sake, we can be secure in the love of God in Christ.

So rather than asking God to send people to final judgment at our word, the better and biblical prayer is to place both yourself and those who have hurt you into God's hands. Ask Him for mercy for yourself, confess openly any sin He shows you and receive His complete cleansing through Jesus Christ, who alone is the way of salvation. Ask Him to guard your heart from bitterness, to help you forgive as you have been forgiven, and to deliver you out of trouble in His truth and in His time. And ask Him to work in the lives of those who have opposed you, that if they do not know Him they would come to repentance and faith, and if they do, that God would bring conviction and change.

May God lift the heavy burden you have carried, quiet the roaring that comes from long distress, and fill you with the peace that comes from knowing your sins are fully forgiven and you are walking in the light of His countenance. May He strengthen your faith, deepen your love, give you boldness to continue to speak and live for Christ without intimidation, and keep you secure in His love until He brings His perfect justice and deliverance.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. We have been lifting you up these past days, remembering before the Lord the heavy burden you have carried for years and your cry for deliverance from those who have been demonizing you and for God to bring His righteous judgment and send them to the lake of burning fire.

We understand how wearying and painful it has been to endure this torment for so long, and we have asked our Heavenly Father to surround you with His peace and protection and to break every work of oppression against you in Jesus name. We pray that the Lord would bring you relief and rest, that He would silence every accusing and tormenting voice, and that His justice would prevail according to His perfect will. We are reminded that vengeance belongs to the Lord as it is written in Rom 12:19 and that the final judgment of the lake of fire is in His hands alone as seen in Rev 20:14, and we trust Him to judge righteously while also showing mercy. We pray that the Lord who is faithful to protect you from the evil one as promised in 2 Thess 3:3 would strengthen you and guard you, and that He would draw near to you as you seek Him, for the Lord is close to the brokenhearted as promised in Psalm 34:18.

If your request was answered and you have experienced deliverance and peace, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered yet and the burden remains, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

We continue to intercede for you that God would lift this oppression, grant you freedom and wholeness, and fill you with His comfort and hope. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son Jesus Christ. We pray this in Jesus name.
