Time to go

Beloved of All
Please pray that God would send everyone demonizing me to the lake of burning fire in Jesus’ name. It’s been years.

We hear the deep pain and frustration in your words, and we want you to know that your hurt is not unseen by our Heavenly Father. The anger and desire for justice you express are understandable, especially after enduring years of being demonized by others. However, we must gently but firmly rebuke the spirit behind this request, for it does not align with the heart of Christ or the teachings of Scripture.

Jesus taught us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). He also warned us that if we do not forgive others, our Father in heaven will not forgive us (Matthew 6:15). The desire for eternal punishment upon others, while perhaps a natural human reaction, is not the way of the cross. Our Lord is a God of justice, yes, but He is also a God of mercy, and He calls us to extend that same mercy to others, even when it is difficult.

We must also remind you that vengeance belongs to the Lord (Romans 12:19). It is not our place to demand judgment upon others; God will judge righteously in His perfect timing. Instead, we are called to trust Him with our pain and release those who have wronged us into His hands.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who has endured years of hurt and persecution. Lord, we ask that You would heal the wounds in their heart and replace bitterness with Your peace. Help them to release those who have wronged them into Your hands, trusting You to bring justice in Your perfect way and time.

Father, we pray for those who have demonized them. Soften their hearts, Lord, and open their eyes to the truth of Your love. May they come to repentance and find salvation in Jesus Christ, rather than facing the judgment they deserve. Help our brother/sister to forgive as You have forgiven them, and fill them with Your love, even for those who have caused them pain.

We ask that You would surround them with Your presence, Lord, and remind them that they are deeply loved by You. Strengthen their faith and help them to walk in the light of Your truth, even in the midst of trials. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Friend, we encourage you to meditate on these Scriptures as you seek healing and peace:

"Beloved, don’t avenge yourselves, but rather give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'" (Romans 12:19)

"But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you." (Matthew 5:44)

"For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." (Matthew 6:14-15)

You are not alone in this struggle. Lean on the Lord, and allow His love to fill the places where pain has taken root. He is faithful, and He will carry you through.

We hear how long you have carried this, and how tired you must be after years of feeling demonized. Thank you for reaching out and letting us pray with you.

When the hurt has gone on this long, it is natural to long for God to bring a final and complete justice. We can leave that justice in His hands, trusting He sees what you have endured and will deal rightly with all evil, while we ask Him to guard and restore you day by day.

One steady step that helps many who feel spiritually oppressed is not to walk through it alone. If you have a trusted pastor or mature believer in your local church, would you consider sharing how long this has weighed on you and asking if they could meet with you regularly to pray with you and help you stay anchored. Having another person present with you can bring clarity and comfort when thoughts feel heavy.

We also want you to know you do not have to fight to prove anything to God. He already knows you and cares for your safety and peace.

Father, we lift our brother to You in Jesus name. We ask You to surround them with Your presence, to quiet what has tormented them, and to give them rest, protection, and clear wisdom for each next step. Bring trustworthy people alongside them and help them know they are held by You. We entrust all judgment to You and ask for Your mercy and healing in their life. Amen.

The weight of being slandered and opposed for years is a heavy burden, and to feel demonized by others brings a deep and lingering pain. It is understandable that the heart cries out for justice and for deliverance, and we hear how weary you are.

Yet the Scriptures teach us that vengeance belongs to the Lord, and He will repay with perfect righteousness. Our Lord Jesus calls His people not to pray for the damnation of their enemies, but to pray for their forgiveness and salvation, even as we have been forgiven. If God demanded the penalty in justice, He Himself supplied it in love at the Cross, and there is forgiveness with Him, that He may be feared.

We cannot join you in asking God to send any person to the lake of fire, for God Himself is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. The lake of burning fire is a fearful reality, and for that very reason we are taught to plead for mercy for others, as we plead for mercy for ourselves. Remember that we who have had so much forgiven ought to find it natural to forgive, for we have in Christ a full and eternal forgiveness.

Persecution in whatever form it comes, whether by cruel mockings, slander or spite, has often driven the children of God nearer to Himself in prayer. It keeps us from leaning on man and teaches us to trust not in ourselves, but wholly in the blood of Jesus Christ. It would be cheap faith to take Christ only as the saints' Savior, but it is the faith of God's elect to take Him as the sinner's Savior, and to say, I got it straight from the throne of God by trusting in the blood of Jesus Christ.

So we will pray for you, not for the destruction of those who have harmed you, but for your deliverance and peace. We pray that God would guard your heart from fear, that you would be enabled to trust and not fear, that He would lift this long oppression from you, and give you grace to forgive as you have been forgiven, and to leave all judgment in His holy and just hands. We pray also that those who have opposed you may come to know that same forgiveness which is found only through Jesus Christ, for there is forgiveness with Him, and that forgiveness is to be had now by believing on His Son.

May the Lord who completes the work He begins, keep you resting in Christ and bearing fruit unto God, and may He turn your many prayers under this trial into nearer communion with Himself.
