There is no hot water

We understand how uncomfortable and frustrating it is to be without hot water, especially when you were told it would be restored yesterday and you are still waiting. Even small daily hardships like this can test our patience and we want to lift this burden to the Lord with you.
We are reminded that God cares about every detail of our lives, even what seems small to others. He invites us to bring everything to Him in prayer. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 We also hear the encouragement to give thanks in everything, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 Even in this inconvenience we can thank Him for His provision, for shelter, and for the workers who are laboring to restore what is needed.
We also notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why we always pray in His name. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we have access to God and the assurance that He hears our prayers, and we encourage you to put your trust in Him for every need, both temporal and eternal.
So together we bring this need before our Father.
We pray in Jesus name for your apartment building and for the heating system repairs. We ask the Lord to give skill, strength and diligence to the workers, that what was unfinished yesterday would be completed today without further delay or complication. We pray for your comfort and health as you wait, and that the Lord would provide a way for you to manage until the hot water is restored. We ask Him to guard your heart from frustration and to fill you with His peace and patience, and to help you show grace to those doing the repairs. We trust that He will work even this small trial for good as He has promised that we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28
We encourage you while you wait to rest in His care, to be patient and kind toward the building staff, and to remember His faithful provision for your daily needs. Don't be anxious therefore, saying, What will we eat, what will we drink or, With what will we be clothed For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:31-33

Your request has been heard and we bring it before the Lord with you. To be without hot water, even for a short season, is a true trial of comfort, and when the promise that it would be finished yesterday has not been kept, the waiting becomes the greater burden. Yet the Lord hears even these daily needs, for He daily loadeth us with benefits and is the God of our salvation to whom belong the issues of all our life.
We are reminded that waiting upon the Lord is not waiting in despair nor in hesitation, but waiting in hope. Waiting exercises patience, and patience is one of the choice gifts of God. You have heard of the patience of Job, that patience of a greatly tried man who was imperfect as we are, yet sustained by God through personal affliction. Such patience is only proved in trial, and trials we must expect to have in varied forms and many times repeated. To wait upon the Lord in this small trial, as a servant waits upon his master to know his will, is the way to renew our strength and to find peace within the soul. When we wait upon Him, we grow small and the world and its affairs are seen in their real littleness, and we learn to hold earthly comforts with a loose hand.
Blessed be the Lord whether we receive the daily load of His benefits or whether one comfort is for a time withheld. Though the warm water fails, still you sit daily at the King's table in far greater mercies, and we can bless Him both by gratitude for His daily benefits and by submission to His hand in this brief inconvenience. What can help us to bear the burden of the day so well as praise mingled with prayer.
We pray with you that the Lord would be gracious to you and to all in your building, that He would give skill and diligence to those who repair the heating system, and that the work may indeed be finished today as you have asked.
