We understand how uncomfortable and frustrating it is to be without hot water, especially when you were told it would be fixed today and the work was not completed. Even small trials of daily life can test our patience, and we join with you in bringing this need before the Lord together in Jesus name.
We are reminded that God cares about every detail of our lives, even those that seem small. We are told in Philippians 4:6 to in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace that follows is promised in Philippians 4:7. We are also taught in 1 Thessalonians 5:18 to give thanks in all circumstances, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward us, and we know from Romans 8:28 that God works all things together for good for those who love Him. This delay can be an opportunity to practice patience and trust while also showing grace to the workers who are laboring to restore the system.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and thank You that You hear us when we pray. We bring this need for hot water before You and ask for Your provision and mercy. We pray that You would give skill, safety and diligence to the workers repairing the heating system, and that the work would be completed quickly and correctly, if it is Your will that it be finished by tomorrow. We pray for patience and peace for all the residents in the building during this inconvenience, and that You would provide alternative ways to stay clean and warm until the water is restored. Help us to rest in Your care and to trust Your timing, and let Your peace guard our hearts. In the name of Jesus we pray, amen.

We have received your request and we join with you in bringing this temporal need before the Lord, who cares both for our souls and for our bodies.
Though the want of hot water may seem a small trial, it touches your daily comfort, and our God who daily loadeth us with benefits does not despise the smallest burden of His people. He would have us trust Him in temporal things as well as spiritual, not with idleness or murmuring, but with a calm reliance upon His fatherly providence, holding this world with a loose hand and learning patience under every delay.
We are reminded that patience is not an unheard of virtue. You have heard of the patience of Job, who though tried in many ways could still say, Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him. So we are called to exercise the patience of the Scriptures, the patience of a child who believes in his Father's love, waiting quietly while the Lord works out His purposes, even through the hands of workmen and the mending of earthly things.
Let us pray together. O Lord, our heavenly Father, we bless Thee for Thy daily mercies which Thou pourest upon us though we often forget to praise Thee as we ought.
