There is no hot water

We join with you in this frustration and we bring this practical need before the Lord together in Jesus' name, because even the small discomforts of daily life matter to Him.
We understand how difficult it is to be without hot water, especially when you were counting on it being restored today. It is easy to feel inconvenienced and disappointed when promises are not kept and work takes longer than expected, but we are reminded to bring everything to God in prayer. Philippians 4:6 says, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And 1 Peter 5:7 says, casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. He sees this need and He cares about your comfort and well being.
We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently share why we pray in His name. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. John 14:6 says, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. To come to God we must believe that Jesus died for our sins and rose again, and confess Him as Lord. Romans 10:9 says, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name we can boldly bring even a request about hot water to the throne of grace.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We thank You that You are a God who provides for our daily needs and who hears us when we call. We lift up this apartment building and the heating system that is being repaired. We ask for Your hand upon the workers for skill and safety and for the work to be completed efficiently and properly. We pray that if it is Your will, the hot water would be fully restored by tomorrow as hoped. Give patience and peace to all the residents in this waiting time, and help us to trust in Your timing and provision. Matthew 6:33 reminds us to seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Help our friend to rest in that promise and to show grace and kindness to the building staff even in this inconvenience. We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, Amen.

These small trials of daily life, though they seem light, are often the very means by which the Lord tries and trains our patience. Contentment is one of the flowers of heaven, and if we would have it, it must be cultivated, even in such matters as cold water and delayed repairs. You have heard of the patience of Job, and though his afflictions were far greater, the same God who sustained him sustains His people in every inconvenience. Waiting exercises patience and that is also a good thing, for patience is one of the choice gifts of God, and waiting upon God is the way to renew our strength.
We are reminded that the Lord waits that He may be gracious unto us, and His people wait upon Him. To wait upon the Lord as a servant waits upon his master is to learn peaceful contentment while the tribulation lasts as well as when it has closed. Even now, in this brief want, you may find that contentment can make a poor provision feel as broad acres, for godliness with contentment is great gain, and our expectation is from Him.
Let us pray together. O Lord our God, Thou art gracious and ready to pardon, and Thou knowest all our daily wants. We bring before Thee this need for hot water and for the workmen who labour to repair the heating. Grant, we pray, skill and diligence to their hands, and if it be Thy will, let the work be finished on the morrow as they have promised. Give meanwhile a quiet and contented spirit to those who wait, that they may not murmur but may learn to wait patiently upon Thee. May this little waiting endear the blessing when it comes, and may it teach us more fully to trust Thy goodness in greater things. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, through whose merits alone we are received into Thy favor. Amen.

We pray that the Lord will grant skill and diligence to those repairing the heating system, that the work will be completed quickly and well tomorrow, and that hot water will be restored to your building without further delay. We also pray that He will sustain you in this small trial and keep you in health and peace while you wait.
Even these daily inconveniences can test our patience, and Scripture teaches us that patience produces proven character and hope, and that by hope we are sustained as we wait. May God use this waiting to strengthen your trust in His care, knowing that He sees every need and provides for us, and may He give you rest and contentment until this is resolved.
