Swollen legs, feet

We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of compassion for your physical struggle with swollen legs and feet. The body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and when it is afflicted, we lift it up to the Great Physician who heals all our diseases. We know that our Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit, and we trust in His power to restore and renew.

The Word of God tells us in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." We stand on this promise, believing that God is able to bring healing to your body. We also recall the words of James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." While we are not physically present to anoint you with oil, we join our faith with yours, praying in the mighty name of Jesus for your complete healing.

We also recognize that physical ailments can sometimes be a signal from the body that something needs attention. We encourage you to seek wise medical counsel, as Proverbs 15:22 reminds us, "Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established." Trust in the Lord to guide the hands of those who care for you, and may He give you wisdom in all decisions regarding your health.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith and trust in Your healing power. Lord, we lift up this dear one who is suffering from swollen legs and feet. You are the God who sees and knows every detail of our lives, and You are acquainted with all our ways. We ask, in the name of Jesus, that You would touch this body and bring healing and relief. Lord, we declare that by Your stripes, we are healed, and we stand on the promise of Your Word that says You heal all our diseases.

Father, we ask that You would guide this dear one to the right medical professionals who can provide the care and treatment needed. Give wisdom to those who are attending to this situation, and may Your healing hand be upon every aspect of this physical struggle. We also pray for patience and peace in the midst of this trial, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose.

Lord, we rebuke any spirit of infirmity that may be afflicting this body, and we command it to leave in the name of Jesus. We speak life and health into every cell, tissue, and organ, declaring that this body is fearfully and wonderfully made, and that it will function as You designed it to.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer and for Your faithfulness to Your promises. We trust in You, knowing that You are our healer and our strength. May this dear one experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to stand on God’s promises and to surround yourself with a community of believers who can support and pray for you. Remember the words of Isaiah 41:10, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." You are not alone in this battle, and we are standing with you in faith, believing for your complete restoration.

Thank you for letting us pray for you. We are sorry you are dealing with swollen legs and feet; that kind of constant physical discomfort can be draining. Please know we are taking this to the Lord with you. At the same time, we want to gently encourage you to see a doctor if you have not already. Swelling can have several causes, and a medical evaluation is a wise way to care for your body alongside prayer, not in place of it.

Jesus, we lift up this person to You now. You know exactly what is causing the swelling and what is needed for healing. We ask You to bring real relief, ease the pressure, and restore strength and comfort to their legs and feet. Give skill and insight to any health professional involved. In the waiting, steady their heart with Your peace and presence. We trust them to Your loving hands, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Your request for healing from swollen legs and feet has been heard and we join you in bringing it before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.

We are reminded that there is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. As it is written, the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and when Jesus healed the sick He showed that pardon and healing are joined together in His gracious hand. He is the heavenly Physician whose work is not only to point out disease but to apply the remedy, and Calvary is the place for the healing balm.

We encourage you to tell your case to Jesus just as you would mention a physical case to a doctor. He is ready to hear it all and to consider it. Lay your burden at His feet and leave it in His presence. Come with the limping feet of your weakness, for He who is God can certainly heal you, and none shall say to the healing flood of His love, up to here can you go and no further. He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds, and He is able also to touch the body according to His wise and loving will. As you wait upon Him, do also use the means He has provided and seek timely care from a physician, for bodily diseases rightly urge us to seek help while we look above all to the Lord who gives power to the means.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, we thank Thee that Thou art near to hear prayer. Look in mercy upon this dear one who suffers with swelling in legs and feet. Thou knowest the pain, the heaviness and the weariness that attends this affliction. Lay Thy healing hand upon this body and grant relief, strength and restoration as it pleases Thee. Forgive all sin, heal all infirmity of soul and body, and let this trial draw the heart nearer to Christ. Give wisdom to those who provide care, give patience in waiting, and give faith to rest at Jesus feet, trusting that whether by a touch or by sustaining grace, Thou doest all things well. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Redeemer, who took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses. Amen.

May the Lord grant you to feel His presence and to know that you are cast upon Him who will in no wise cast out any who come to Him. Continue to seek Him in His Word and in prayer, for faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have heard your request for healing from swelling in your legs and feet and we join you in bringing it before the Lord.

We pray that God, who formed the body and made every member to work together for good, would show mercy to you and bring healing. The Scripture teaches that the eye cannot say to the hand I have no need of you, nor the head to the feet I have no need of you, for even the parts that seem less honorable receive great care from Him. Your feet and legs are not forgotten by Him, and He sees your discomfort and your need to stand and walk with strength.

We ask the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Healer, to reduce the swelling, to restore healthy circulation and strength, and to ease any pain or heaviness you feel. We ask Him to give wisdom to any physicians or caregivers who attend to you, and to help you to follow what is helpful for healing with patience and care. As we are taught, healing often comes both through prayer and through faithfully using the means God has provided.

We also pray that in this time of waiting and discomfort, you would know His nearness and comfort, and that your heart would be strengthened to trust Him. May He guard you and keep you, and grant you relief and restoration according to His good will.

We stand with you in prayer, asking this in Jesus name, amen.

Thank you for sharing this need and for inviting prayer in the name of Jesus. We are joining you in prayer for healing in your legs and feet and asking the Lord to bring relief from the swelling and to restore strength and comfort as you walk and stand.

Scripture gives us confidence to bring physical needs to Jesus. Matthew, writing under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, describes how in the evening at Peter's house many were brought to Jesus and He healed them, and Matthew connects that to the prophecy of Isaiah that He took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses. That prophecy is not limited to spiritual forgiveness only. It points to what Christ carried in His suffering for us, and when Jesus broke the bread and said this is my body broken for you, He was pointing to that same provision. We believe God still heals the body as well as the soul.

At the same time the Bible keeps us from presuming that healing will come in every case exactly as we ask or on our timetable. Paul prayed three times for the Lord to remove what he called a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan that buffeted him, and the Lord's answer was not removal but sustaining grace. We do not always understand why some are healed quickly, some gradually, and some are not healed in the way we hope. There is only one recorded instance in the ministry of Jesus where healing came gradually, which reminds us that God works in different ways. The gifts of healing mentioned in 1 Corinthians 12 are not given to everyone, just as not all are apostles or teachers or speak with tongues. The body has many members and God distributes gifts as He wills. That is why we pray with faith while leaving the outcome in His wise and loving hands.

We do believe strongly in healing, and we believe healing can come in many forms. Sometimes it is immediate and miraculous, as when Peter in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth took the lame man by the hand and lifted him to his feet and strength came at once. Sometimes it is gradual, through the healing processes God has built into our bodies. All true healing is from God, whether it comes in a moment or through natural processes, doctors, and care, because God is the one who created nature and its processes. He also brings healing to the mind and heart, calming fear and bringing peace while the body is waiting to recover.

So we are praying for you now, asking the Father in Jesus' name to touch your legs and feet, to reduce the swelling, to uncover and address any underlying cause, and to give you wisdom as you seek appropriate medical care. We ask for His mercy, His comfort, and His presence with you each day, and for trust in His will whether healing comes quickly or over time. May you know His nearness and His care as you continue to look to Jesus, who used His power not for Himself but willingly for the needs of others, and who still invites us to bring every burden to Him.
