Am refusing to get total knee replacement as I don't trust having operations, as have had bad experiences, please pray that a door will open for another way of restoring my cartilages in my kneees

We hear your deep concern and fear about surgery, and we stand with you in seeking God’s wisdom and healing for your knees. The anxiety over medical procedures is real, especially when past experiences have left scars of distrust. But we know that our God is the Great Physician, and nothing is too hard for Him. He sees your pain and your hesitation, and He is able to open doors where none seem to exist.

First, we must address the importance of trusting God’s sovereignty over all things, including medical decisions. While it is wise to seek alternative treatments, we must also be open to the possibility that God may use doctors and surgery as part of His healing plan. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." This doesn’t mean we ignore wisdom or medical advice, but that we submit our fears and decisions to Him, asking for His guidance.

We also want to encourage you to seek godly counsel, not just from medical professionals, but from mature believers who can pray with you and help you discern God’s will. James 5:14-15 says, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will raise him up." Have you considered asking your church leaders to pray over you and seek God’s direction together?

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who is in pain and distress over their knees. Lord, You are the God who heals, the One who restores what is broken and makes all things new. We ask that You would open a door for healing that aligns with Your will, whether through medical intervention, alternative treatments, or a miraculous touch from Your hand. Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear that has taken root in their heart because of past experiences. Your Word says in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." Replace their fear with faith, and give them peace as they seek Your face.

Lord, we ask that You would guide their steps to the right doctors, therapists, or treatments that will bring restoration. If surgery is part of Your plan, give them supernatural peace and trust in Your provision. If You have another path for healing, reveal it clearly. We declare that their knees will be strengthened, their cartilage restored, and their pain diminished. We also pray for wisdom for those who are advising them, that they would have discernment and compassion.

Father, we thank You that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We trust You to work all things together for good, even this trial. May this dear one come to know You more deeply through this season, and may Your name be glorified in their healing. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

In the meantime, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and fasting, asking Him to reveal His will for your healing. Research alternative treatments such as physical therapy, regenerative medicine, or natural supplements, but do so with prayer and discernment. Remember, God can use any means to bring about His purposes, even the ones we least expect. Keep your heart open to His leading, and trust that He is working even when you can’t see it. You are not alone in this; we are standing with you in faith, believing for God’s best for your life.

Thank you for letting us know about your knees and the weight of this decision. We hear how past bad experiences have made the thought of another operation deeply unsettling. When trust has been broken in a medical setting, it is completely understandable that you would be cautious now. Your body matters, and the desire to find a different path for restoring your cartilage is not a lack of faith, it's a genuine search for wisdom and healing.

While we join you in praying for God to open doors, we also want to gently encourage you to keep exploring the options that are already available. Medicine has advanced, and some surgeons now offer cartilage repair procedures that are far less invasive than a total knee replacement. It may be worthwhile to ask your doctor, or seek a second opinion from an orthopedic specialist, specifically about alternatives like cartilage regeneration or partial restoration. You are not being difficult by asking questions; you are being a careful steward of the body God gave you.

As you walk this road, we are praying that the Lord brings you to the right people, a surgeon you can trust, a treatment plan that works, and the steady peace that overrides fear. He knows your history, your pain, and your hopes. We ask Him to guide you to the best path, and to grant you restored mobility without the weight of past trauma holding you back.

Please pray with us: Lord Jesus, you understand suffering and the scars left by hard experiences. Be near our friend now. Guide them to a solution that brings healing and confidence. Calm their anxious thoughts, surround them with wise and compassionate medical professionals, and open a door to restored knees that doesn't require walking the same painful road. Give them courage and clarity in each step. In your name we pray, amen.

You sit with that ache deep in the bone, and the ache in your memory is just as real. You have been hurt before, under the very hands that promised healing, and now the thought of another surgery closes every door in your mind. It is no small thing when trust has been broken that way. The knee stiffens and the heart stiffens too, and you find yourself saying, "Lord, I cannot go that path again. Open another door for me, I beg You."

Do you remember who it is you are asking? He is not a surgeon who must cut to discover; He knows the cartilage, the joint, the sinew, because He wove them in secret. When you kneel before Him in prayer, even if kneeling is painful these days, you are speaking to the One who needs no scalpel to restore what time and wear have eaten away. He has a thousand ways we have never dreamed of, and none of them require you to walk through the valley you dread. So refuse the operation if your conscience will not let you go there, but do not refuse to place the whole matter in His hands. Tell Him plainly: "Lord, I am afraid of the knife, but I am not afraid of You. You made these knees, and You can mend them by any means You choose."

I do not know whether He will lead you to a new treatment, or bring a slow and quiet healing while you sleep, or give you grace to bear the ache and still go about your days with a strength that comes from somewhere else entirely. But I do know that He hears the cry of His children when they have come to the end of their own plans. You are not demanding a sign; you are simply holding up two weak and painful knees and saying, "Please, Lord, have regard for Your own handiwork." That is the kind of praying He attends to. The prayer that says, "Help me, for I have no other helper," has a swift passage to the throne.

Lay your distrust before Him too. You do not need to hide the bruises left by those earlier experiences. He is not offended when you say, "Lord, I am afraid." He knows the whole story, the bedside that felt like a betrayal, the recovery that went harder than anyone told you it would. A broken trust is a kind of wound in itself, and He is the healer of all wounds. Ask Him to bind up that memory even as you ask Him to restore what the years have stolen from your joints.

And remember, dear heart, that the same Lord who made the lame to walk did not always do it in the same way. Sometimes a word, sometimes a touch, sometimes a command to rise and go. He is resourceful beyond all our imagining. The door you see closed may remain closed, and that is all right; He builds doors where no wall stood before. Your part is to keep your eyes on Him and not on the door, and to trust that He who gave His own Son to win your soul will not begrudge the mercy your poor knees require.

Lord Jesus, You know the terror that creeps into a soul when past hurts bar the way forward. Come very near to this dear one and quiet the anxious rehearsal of old disappointments. You are the same yesterday and today, yet Your mercies are new every morning; let a fresh hope arise that has not been tried before. Whether You choose to restore these joints by processes that doctors understand or by a direct touch of Your creating power, we leave entirely with You. Only grant patience for the waiting, peace for the uncertainty, and an open door that no fear can shut. In Your strong and gentle name we entrust this body and this future. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer during this time of seeking God’s wisdom and healing for your knees. It has been our heart to lift you up, asking the Lord to open doors to alternative solutions—whether through medical breakthroughs, natural healing, or divine intervention—that would restore your cartilage without the need for surgery. We continue to believe that God is able to do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine, and we are trusting Him to lead you to the path He has prepared for your healing.

If the Lord has already provided an answer—whether through a new treatment, a specialist’s guidance, or even a shift in your own heart—we would love to hear your praise report so we can rejoice with you. If you’re still waiting and seeking His direction, please know we are still here to stand with you in prayer. You are not alone in this journey, and we encourage you to keep seeking Him, knowing that He hears your cries and holds your future in His hands.

May the peace of Christ guard your heart and mind as you walk in faith, and may His grace sustain you every step of the way. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
