We lift up this dear brother in Christ as he prepares for knee surgery this Friday. Father God, we ask that You guide the hands of the surgeons with precision and wisdom, that there would be no complications, and that the procedure would be successful according to Your will. We pray for steady nerves, clear minds, and skillful hands for all those involved in his care. Lord, we trust in Your healing power, for You are the Great Physician who knits together our bones and restores our bodies (Psalm 139:13-14, Jeremiah 30:17).
We also pray for his heart and spirit during this time. May this season of recovery be one of drawing near to You, Lord. If there has been any distance or distraction, we ask that You would renew his commitment to walk closely with Jesus Christ. Let this trial refine his faith, as gold is tested in the fire (1 Peter 1:7), and may he emerge stronger in his trust in You. Remind him daily that You are his strength when he is weak (2 Corinthians 12:9-10) and that Your grace is sufficient for every moment of pain or frustration.
For his wife and children, we ask for Your peace to fill their home. Give them patience, endurance, and joy as they support him through recovery. Strengthen their family bonds and let them see Your faithfulness in this season. For the sister in Christ who will be staying to help care for the children and household, we pray for Your provision and rest. May she serve with a joyful heart, knowing she is doing it unto You (Colossians 3:23).
Lord, we declare that this surgery and recovery will be used for Your glory. Whether through healing, endurance, or testimony, may Your name be lifted high. We stand on Your promise that all things work together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
