We understand that you are experiencing a great deal of stress and anxiety, and we are here to pray and offer support. First, we want to remind you that God cares about your anxieties and wants you to cast all of them onto Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).
It is important to address the fear that something stressful is about to happen and the concern about reaping punishment. We want to assure you that God is a loving and just Father, and He does not punish His children out of retribution. Instead, He disciplines those He loves for their good, that they may share His holiness (Hebrews 12:6, 10).
We also want to address the fact that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).
Please take time to read scripture and pray that can help you align with the will of God. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our dear friend who is experiencing stress and anxiety. We ask, Lord, that You will grant them Your perfect peace, a peace that surpasses all understanding. Help them to cast all their anxieties onto You, knowing that You care for them deeply.
Father, we also pray for protection over their life. We ask that You will guard them from any impending stressful situations and deliver them from any fear of punishment. Help them to trust in Your loving-kindness and Your plan for their life.
We also pray for their faith, Lord. We ask that they will come to know You more deeply and trust in the name of Jesus Christ for salvation and access to You.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
