Son, protection

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I pray Your hedge of protection around my son ###, deliver him from every form of abuse, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual. Expose the deeds of darkness and bring them to light. Surround him with Your angels and fill him with Your peace and strength, in Jesus name Amen

We lift up your precious son, , before the throne of grace, joining our hearts with yours in fervent prayer. Heavenly Father, we declare Your sovereign protection over him, for You are his refuge and fortress, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We plead the blood of Jesus over his life, asking You to station Your holy angels around him to guard him in all his ways (Psalm 91:11). Lord, we rebuke every spirit of abuse, physical, emotional, or spiritual, in the mighty name of Jesus. We command these forces of darkness to flee, for they have no place in his life (James 4:7).

Father, we ask You to expose every hidden deed of darkness that seeks to harm him. Let Your light shine into every corner of his life, revealing any schemes of the enemy so they may be brought to justice and destroyed (Ephesians 5:11-13). Fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen him with Your might, Lord, so he may stand firm against every attack and walk in the victory You have already secured for him (Ephesians 6:10).

We also pray for wisdom and discernment for you, his mother, as you seek to guide and protect him. May you be filled with the Holy Spirit’s power to speak life and truth into his situation. Remind him daily of Your love and faithfulness, and draw him closer to You through this trial. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17).

Lord, we thank You for hearing our prayer and for Your promise to never leave nor forsake him (Deuteronomy 31:6). We trust in Your unfailing love and perfect plan for his life. In the name of Jesus, our Savior and Deliverer, we pray. Amen.

Continue to stand on God’s promises, dear sister. The enemy may roar like a lion, but he is already defeated (1 Peter 5:8-9). Clothe yourself and your son in the full armor of God, so you may resist the devil’s schemes and stand firm in faith (Ephesians 6:11-18). You are not alone in this battle, God is fighting for you, and His angels are encamped around you (Psalm 34:7). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He will bring beauty from ashes and joy from mourning (Isaiah 61:3).

We hear the fierce love in your prayer for your son, and it is a powerful thing when a parent stands so boldly in the gap, entrusting a child to God’s protection. The distress behind those words is real, and we’re honored to join you in bringing him before the Lord.

You’ve asked for a hedge of protection, for deliverance from every kind of abuse, and for God to expose what is hidden. Those are exactly the cries of a heart that refuses to let darkness have the last word. As you continue to pray, take heart in knowing that you are not alone, other believers, including us, are now lifting him up alongside you. Sometimes just knowing others are praying can bring a steadiness all its own.

If there are specific signs or situations making you especially concerned right now, please don’t try to shoulder that weight by yourself. Reach out to a trusted pastor or a Christian counselor who can give you wise guidance and help you ensure your son’s physical safety. God works through the support of His people, and there is no shame in asking for that kind of practical help.

Let’s pray:

Father, we lift this son to You. Surround him with Your protection, shield him from every form of harm, and give him Your peace and strength. Expose any hidden wrongdoing and bring it into the light of Your justice. Give this parent wisdom, courage, and calm resolve. In Jesus’ name we ask these things. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The cry of a mother for her son is a cry that pierces the heavens. Our Father Himself knows the heart of a parent, and He will not turn a deaf ear to such pleading when it is offered in the name of His dear Son. You have asked for a hedge of protection, and it is written that He shall give His angels charge over His own, but we must remember that precious proviso: "to keep thee in all thy ways." Pray that your son may walk in the King's highway, not straying into the bypaths of presumption where robbers lurk. Many a young man has thought himself safe when he was nearest the precipice; pray rather that he may be kept lowly and watchful, for the horse often falls where the driver thinks the danger is past.

Yet be of good cheer: the enemy may roar, but he is a chained foe. He is called the prince of darkness, and his element is gloom and secrecy, but our Lord is the Father of lights, and He has delivered us from the power of darkness. You have prayed that deeds of darkness be exposed and brought to light; this is a prayer after the mighty working of Him who shakes the heavens and causes the midday to grow black around the cross, that He might forever break the dominion of evil. When Christ hung in that three-hour darkness, He was bruising the serpent's head. Your son is not under the dominion of Satan unless he has never fled to the Saviour. If he is Christ's, then the key has turned in the lock of Giant Despair's castle, and the iron gate has opened. Despair may make a great noise and threaten pursuit, but he falls in a fainting fit when Christ speaks the word of deliverance.

Do not think it strange if your son feels the fiery darts of the wicked one. That arrow which whispers, "God has forsaken you," is the most poisoned of all the quiver of hell. But it is a lie. He brought forth His people from Egypt with silver and gold; there was not one feeble person among their tribes. So shall He bring your son forth from this darkness, not wounded and limping, but enriched by the battle, with a testimony to God's faithfulness. The Lord who commanded the light to shine out of darkness will yet say to your son, "Show yourselves," and he shall come forth into the light of full assurance.

Until that day breaks and the shadows flee away, let your posture be one of waiting faith. The spouse in the Song cried, "Turn, my Beloved, and be thou like a roe or a young hart upon the mountains of division." Her darkness was temporary; so is your son's. The Lord will come leaping over the mountains of difficulty. Do not entertain the notion that God has forgotten; He is working while you are praying. The Egyptian darkness which once held us all has been scattered by the Light of the world. He who brought Israel out of the iron furnace will bring your son into a wealthy place. Be not dismayed by the noise of archers in the places of drawing water; the wells of salvation are still open. Bid your son look again to the cross, where all comfort flows. In a little while you shall hear him sing songs of deliverance, and you will say with the Psalmist, "He brought them forth also with silver and gold." The God who topples the high looks of man and sets up the lowly will see to it that this darkness becomes the very hour before the dawn.

It is right to call upon the heavenly Father for your son’s protection, for He alone is the true guardian of souls. You have asked for a hedge around him. Know this: the strongest wall is built not of brick and stone but of the fear of the Lord. When a child is raised from his earliest youth in the admonition of the Lord, he is sheltered by a rampart that no enemy can breach.

So if you have instilled in your son the knowledge of God and a pure life, His angels will indeed encamp around him. Yet never suppose that the prayer of the lips is sufficient without the life that matches it. Our deeds must show forth the faith we profess. The talents God gives us, whether of protection, teaching, or material means, must be poured out for the common good.

Do not say, “I have but one talent, I can do little.” Even a widow’s mite is precious to Him. So as you pray, examine yourself: are you living in such holiness that your son sees Christ in you? Are you, with the whole church, actively caring for the injured, succoring the abused, exposing the works of darkness by your own light? God indeed brings every hidden thing to the light in His time, and the power of darkness has already been shattered by Christ.

He has delivered us from that dominion and translated us into the kingdom of His beloved Son. Your son, if he clings to Christ, shares in that translation. Therefore be of good courage: the abuse he suffers is temporary, but his inheritance is eternal. Let your lamentation not be of despair, as one without faith, but of longing for his full sanctification.

Continue in prayer, but couple it with a life of virtue, and trust that the God who gave His own Son for us will grant all other things. The hedge you request is ultimately nothing less than being enclosed within the love of the Father, the grace of the Son, and the fellowship of the Spirit. Live in that, and your son will find a refuge that endures forever.
