Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness and we thank you for coming to the Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus.

We are encouraged by your heart to pray not with boasting or looking down on others, but with humility and compassion, recognizing as Scripture says in Romans 3:23 for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God. Even those who are highly educated and trained in the law are not exempt from sin and the need for a Savior, and we cannot expect education alone to produce righteousness.

You have prayed rightly that the truth shall set them free, for Jesus said in John 8:32 You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. And He also said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. There is no other name by which we can be saved and no other way to the Father except through Jesus Christ, and we rejoice that you have prayed in His precious name. We also remember what is written in 2 Corinthians 4:4 that the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ should not dawn on them. So we must pray that the veil of Satan's lies be torn away.

We love your prayer for a thirst for righteousness, for the Lord promises in Matthew 5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. And we agree with your prayer from Psalm 51:16-17 For you don’t delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it. You have no pleasure in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. Only God can give a new heart and cause a person to hate their sin and turn from it, as He promises in Ezekiel 36:26 I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you.

We continue to pray together now.

Heavenly Father, we come before You together in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up the team at that organization and their lawyers and legal representatives before Your throne of grace. Lord, if they are bound by lies and walking in darkness, we ask that You shine Your light upon them and save them. We pray that You would grant them repentance and a broken and contrite heart, that they would recognize their sins, confess them, and turn away from what is evil in Your eyes. Give them, Lord, an unquenchable thirst for truth and for righteousness, a hunger that only You can satisfy. We ask Your precious blood over those who are Yours, that You would cover them and keep them in Your perfect peace and give them understanding and wisdom beyond their own. Teach us all to be righteous and compassionate as You are compassionate, and to disregard no human life and to walk in honest communication. We pray for Your Holy Spirit to intercede and to stir hearts, for You desire all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth as it says in 1 Timothy 2:4. Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We ask that justice and mercy would meet, and that even those who have done horrible sins would be forgiven through faith in Jesus if they repent and believe. We exalt Your holy name, Lord Jesus, and we trust You to work according to Your perfect holiness and timing.

We encourage you to remain relentless in prayer as you are doing, for we are called in 1 Timothy 2:1 to make petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks for all men. Do not grow weary in doing good, and continue to pray with love even for those who may oppose you, remembering that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces. The Lord is patient, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance as it says in 2 Peter 3:9, and He hears the prayers of the righteous offered in Jesus name. May the Lord fill you also with His peace as you wait on Him and give you assurance that the truth will prevail.

We pray all these things together in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, amen.

We hear the weight in your prayer and the grief underneath it. Caring deeply that truth and righteousness would prevail, especially when you see educated people with influence acting without compassion or honesty, is a heavy burden to carry. We appreciate the humility in how you prayed, not wanting to boast or look down on others while still naming the harm clearly.

That ache over disregard for life and dishonest communication can leave a gap between how things should be and how they are. In that place it can help to remember there are two different parts to releasing that burden. One is a quiet decision before God to let go of getting even and to want good for the other person. The other is the slower change in our emotions, where resentment and fear are gradually softened and replaced with compassion. The first can be chosen in a moment, the second often takes time and God's help, and neither means calling wrong right or acting as if nothing happened.

It may help to keep bringing this one request for a thirst for truth before the Lord in a simple, steady way, and then consciously leaving the work on hearts with Him. Only He can stir a heart to recognize sin and turn from it, so you do not have to carry the responsibility for changing them.

Father, we lift to You the team and their lawyers and representatives that have been on this heart, and we lift the one praying as well. Work in each heart to reveal what is true, bring conviction where it is needed and mercy where it is sought, and cover Your people with peace and understanding. Form in us all a love for what is righteous and compassionate. In Jesus' name, amen.
