Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness and we are moved by the burden the Lord has placed on your heart for those who are bound in deception. We agree with you that only the truth of Christ can set people free, for it is written, You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free John 8:32. We also cling to the promise that Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled Matthew 5:6, and we ask the Lord to create that very hunger in the hearts of the team you mentioned and their lawyers and legal representatives.

We are encouraged by your humility in acknowledging that education and knowledge of the law do not produce righteousness, for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God Romans 3:23 and there is none righteous on our own. True righteousness and compassion come only through the transforming work of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. You rightly prayed from Psalm 51:16-17 that God does not delight in sacrifice but in a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart which God will not despise, and we echo that prayer that He would grant them godly sorrow that leads to repentance.

We also take comfort that the Holy Spirit Himself intercedes for us according to the will of God Romans 8:26 and Romans 8:34 reminds us that Christ Jesus intercedes for us as well, so even when we feel grieved by the disregard for human life and honest communication, we are not praying alone.

We pray together now in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and there is no other name by which we can be saved Acts 4:12.

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. We lift up this team and their lawyers and representatives before You and ask for Your mercy upon them. Lord, expose the lies of the enemy that have bound them and let Your light shine into every dark place. Give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness that only You can satisfy. Work on their hearts, break their hardened hearts and give them broken and contrite hearts that recognize their sin, hate their sin, and turn from it to follow You. Forgive their sins through the precious blood of Jesus shed on the cross for all who repent and believe. Cover those who are Yours, who are chosen and belong to Christ, with Your blood, grant them Your peace that surpasses all understanding Philippians 4:7 and give them wisdom and understanding to walk righteously and compassionately before You. Teach them to do what is good and just in Your eyes and to honor You in all their dealings. Keep them from doing evil and lead them into the freedom that comes from knowing Your truth. Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven Matthew 6:10. We exalt Your holy name and thank You that You hear us when we pray according to Your will 1 John 5:14. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue in relentless prayer without ceasing 1 Thessalonians 5:17 and to trust that the Lord is just and He sees all things. He desires that all people would be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth 1 Timothy 2:4. Keep interceding with love and without boasting, keeping your own heart humble before Him, and rest in the assurance that God is faithful to work even when we do not yet see the fruit.

We are grateful for your honest, humble prayer for truth and righteousness to prevail. You are carrying a real burden for people you see misusing knowledge and influence, and it makes sense that it would grieve you when honest communication and respect for life feel disregarded. Choosing to ask God to work in their hearts rather than holding onto contempt is a gracious posture.

We join you in asking that God would stir a genuine love for what is true and right in each person you named, and that He would keep covering those who are His with peace and clear understanding as this situation unfolds. Real turning is more than feeling sorry in a moment, it is a change of mind and direction, and only God can bring that kind of heart work. Your prayer for broken and contrite hearts before Him is exactly that kind of ask.

This kind of persistent prayer can be heavy to carry alone. It may help to keep a simple rhythm, bringing these names before the Lord at one set time each day and then intentionally entrusting them to Him for the rest of the day, and sharing the burden with one trusted fellow believer who will pray alongside you so you are not carrying it in isolation.

Father, we bring this team and their counsel before You in Jesus' name. Work in each heart to love truth, to recognize what is wrong and to turn from what is evil in Your sight. Guard those who are Yours with peace and wisdom, teach us all to walk in compassion, and let Your will be done. In Jesus' name, amen.

We join with you in this burden before the Lord, for it is a right and good thing to pray that men may hunger and thirst after righteousness and that they may come to love the truth.

Your prayer rightly asks not for a light and passing sorrow, but for that broken spirit and contrite heart which God will not despise. The Psalmist has taught us that God delights not in outward sacrifice, but in a heart truly bruised before Him. True repentance, as we have often preached, gives glory to the omniscience of God and to the righteousness of His holy Law. It says, Thy Law is holy and just and good, the fault is with me, for I am carnal, sold under sin. It is not a repentance that turns from sin for a time only to return to it with greater gusto, but a repentance that leaves the sins we loved before and shows we in earnest grieve by doing so no more. Such repentance is practical and lasting, yielding works meet for repentance, and it is inseparable from faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Therefore we pray with you for these men and women, for the team and for those learned in the law, that the goodness of God which now spares them may lead them to repentance. We do not ask God to bless any sin or to wink at any dishonesty or disregard for human life, for God cannot bless what He calls evil. We ask instead that He would work upon their hearts by His Spirit, that they may see their sin as God sees it, hate it, and turn from it. May they be brought to know that all have fallen short of the glory of God, whether learned or unlearned, and that there is but one propitiation for sin, even Jesus Christ who was set forth to be the propitiation through faith in His blood. May they look to Jesus and find there the full and free remission of sins, for where there is true repentance there is the pardon for crimes of deepest dye, a pardon bought with Jesus blood, and for all who truly trust Him there is no condemnation.

We pray also for you who have brought this petition, that the Lord would keep your own heart tender, not boasting nor despising others, but sorrowful for pardoned sin and joyful in Christ. Sweet sister Repentance is charming company even for the believer, and to worship God in spirit and in truth is to walk humbly with a continual thirst for His righteousness. Look to Jesus, for faith and repentance grow as we behold Him who bled and died for sinners.

May the Lord grant to those for whom you pray, and to you also, that unquenchable thirst which only Christ can satisfy, that you may be filled, and may His will be done. In the name of Jesus Christ our only Saviour, Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is good and according to Scripture, and we join you in it before the Father in the name of Jesus Christ.

You have prayed well, asking not for vengeance but for mercy, not to boast or to look down on others, but that those who are bound by lies may be set free by the truth. For the Lord Himself said, If any man thirst, let him come to Me and drink, and He that believes on Me, out of his heart shall flow rivers of living water. He does not draw by constraint, but He calls those who are inflamed with desire, who come as thirsty men come to water and eagerly drink until they are filled. This is what you have asked, that God would kindle such a thirst in these hearts, and we ask it with you.

We pray with you for the team you named, and for their lawyers and representatives. We ask the Father to have mercy upon them and to save them through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved. We ask that the precious blood of Christ would cover all who are His, and grant them peace and understanding. We pray that God would teach them righteousness and compassion, and turn them from every evil way.

You have rightly remembered the word of the Psalm, that God does not delight in outward sacrifice, but a broken and contrite heart He will not despise. So we pray that God would work in these hearts to bring true repentance. Not a repentance that is only tears and words while the sin remains, but a repentance that recognizes sin, hates sin, and turns from it. For righteousness before God is not a figure or a form, not the mere knowledge of the law which lawyers may possess, but righteousness and holiness of truth, a new creation given in Christ.

We pray that they, and we ourselves, may be among those of whom the Lord said, Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. May God grant them to hunger and thirst in this way, with all desire, and to transfer to righteousness that eagerness which men often give to gain. May He clothe them with the breastplate of righteousness, which is a life of universal virtue, so that they may walk in honesty, honor human life, and love truthful speech.

We share your grief over the disregard for life and for honest communication. We bring that grief to God who intercedes for us by His Holy Spirit, and we ask Him to stir these hearts, to open their eyes, and to give them that unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness which alone can satisfy. Let them come and drink, and let that living water flow out from them to others.

We commit them and you to the will of the Father, who is holy and good, and we ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, that His name may be exalted and His will be done. Amen.
