Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness and we agree with you before the Father in Jesus name.

We are encouraged by your humility and your desire not to boast or to look down on others but to seek their repentance and salvation. It is true as you say that education and status do not make a person righteous. As it is written, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches but let him who glories glory in this, that he has understanding, and knows me, that I am Yahweh who exercises loving kindness, justice, and righteousness in the earth for I delight in these things, says Yahweh in Jeremiah 9:23-24. The wisdom of this world cannot save and only the blood of Jesus can cleanse and make new.

You have prayed rightly that the truth shall set them free, for Jesus said You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free in John 8:32 and He also said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me in John 14:6. We also cling to the promise that Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled in Matthew 5:6. That hunger is not from ourselves but is a work of the Holy Spirit who convicts the world about sin, about righteousness, and about judgment in John 16:8 and who intercedes for us according to the will of God in Romans 8:26-27.

We share your grief over the disregard for human life and for honest communication. God hates lying lips but delights in those who act faithfully as Proverbs 12:22 says, and He has shown us what is good, to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God in Micah 6:8. To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to Yahweh than sacrifice in Proverbs 21:3. You quoted well from Psalm 51:16-17 For you do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it. You have no pleasure in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and a contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. This is what we ask God to do in the hearts of the team you mentioned and their lawyers and legal representatives, that He would give them a new heart and put a new spirit within them and take away the stony heart out of their flesh and give them a heart of flesh as promised in Ezekiel 36:26, so that they would recognize their sin, hate their sin, and turn from it.

We also lift up those who are chosen and who are in Christ among them and around this situation, that the precious blood of Jesus would cover them and keep them. We ask for His peace which surpasses all understanding to guard their hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus as Philippians 4:7 teaches, and for wisdom and understanding that comes from above which is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits in James 3:17.

We pray together, Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We thank You that You are holy and just and merciful, and that Your Holy Spirit is interceding for us even when we do not know how to pray. Lord, we ask You to stir the hearts of this team and their lawyers and legal representatives who are bound by the lies of the enemy. Remove the veil from their eyes and let them know the truth that is in Jesus alone, that they may be made free. Grant them a broken and contrite heart that hates sin and loves what You love. Forgive their sins where there has been deceit and disregard for life and for truth, and let them not continue to do what is evil in Your sight. Teach them to be righteous and compassionate and to do justly and love mercy. For those who belong to You, cover them with the blood of Jesus, give them peace and understanding and guard them from harm and discouragement. Make us all to hunger and thirst after righteousness without ceasing, and cause us to be faithful in relentless prayer as You taught us that men ought always to pray, and not to faint in Luke 18:1 and to continue steadfastly in prayer, watching therein with thanksgiving in Colossians 4:2. We exalt Your name on high, Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12. Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We were moved by your honest prayer for truth to win out. It is painful to watch people with education and influence use it in ways that disregard life and honesty, and we understand why your heart grieves.

We also notice the gracious way you prayed, not wanting to look down on others while still asking God to work deeply in their hearts. That tension is real. In our own experience, choosing to let go of the desire to get even is one thing, and the slower quieting of resentment and hurt is another. Both matter, and the second often takes time, especially when you keep seeing the same patterns. It helps to keep turning the matter over to the Lord when thoughts start to loop, rather than carrying it alone all day.

We are praying with you to keep that thirst for what is right and true alive, without it hardening into bitterness.

Father, in Jesus name we bring this burden to You. Work in every heart involved, bring conviction where it is needed and a real desire for truth and righteousness. Cover those who belong to You with Your peace and understanding, keep them compassionate, and let Your will be done. Amen.

How right and needful is this petition which you have laid before the throne of grace, that God would give to those who are yet in darkness an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness. It is a prayer after the very heart of God, for He delights not in sacrifice and outward show, but in a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart which He will not despise.

You do well to ask that the precious blood of Christ may cover those for whom you intercede, and that the Holy Spirit who ever intercedes for the saints would work upon their hearts. For true repentance is not the work of man alone, but is the gift of the Spirit of God. Wherever there is real sorrow for sin, wherever there is an honest determination by God's grace to cease from sin, wherever there is a complete change of mind with regard to sin, that repentance has been wrought by the Lord Himself.

Remember what true repentance is. It is to leave the sins we loved before and to show that we in earnest grieve by doing so no more. It gives glory to the omniscience of God, confessing that He sees all, and it gives glory to the righteousness of His law, saying with the penitent, Thy law is holy and just and good, the fault is with me, for I am carnal, sold under sin. Such repentance is practical and lasting, it yields works meet for repentance, not a turning away for a time and then a going back with greater gusto, but a hatred of sin that endures because it springs from love to Him who was nailed to the cross for it.

Take care to keep faith and repentance inseparable in your prayer. No faith can be genuine but such as is perfectly consistent with repentance for past sin, and no repentance is true but that which consorts with faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Any repentance that keeps a sinner from believing in Christ is a repentance that needs to be repented of. We are to look to Jesus, for as we see Him bleeding and dying as the propitiation for sin, the heart is melted and we weep to think that our sin laid Him low. It is the goodness of God that leads men to repentance, His long sparing mercy, His daily kindness, all tokens that He waits to be gracious.

Therefore continue in relentless prayer. Ask that the Lord would stir these hearts, that they may recognise their sin, hate it, and forsake it, not trusting in learning or in the law of man, for education cannot make a man righteous, but trusting only in the righteousness of Christ. Pray that they may be led to see that pardon is full and free, pardon for crimes of deepest dye, a pardon bought with Jesus blood, and that where there is true repentance there is full and free forgiveness, and where there is no repentance there can be no remission.

You have prayed humbly, not boasting nor looking down upon others, acknowledging that all have fallen short of the glory of God. In that humility persevere, and encourage one another to look to Jesus. He came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance, and whosoever will trust His Son shall be saved. May the Lord grant to those for whom you plead that godly sorrow which needs not to be repented of, and may He give to you also a deeper thirst for His truth, that you may worship Him in spirit and in truth.

Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is good and we join you in bringing it before the Lord Jesus Christ.

Scripture calls blessed those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. Christ Himself stood and cried, If any man thirst, let him come to Me and drink. He does not draw us by force, but He calls those who are inflamed with desire for what is true and holy, and He promises that those who believe in Him will receive living water.

That thirst is not for outward appearance only. There was of old a form of righteousness that was only a figure, but the righteousness God gives in Christ is in holiness of truth. It is a life of virtue that becomes like a breastplate, guarding the heart, and it comes when God not only frees us from sin but makes us servants to righteousness and leads us to new life.

We agree with you in praying for the team and the lawyers and legal representatives you mentioned. We do not ask God to affirm or bless any sin, but we ask Him to have mercy and to save. We pray that the Lord Jesus, who alone is the way of salvation, would work in their hearts and grant them what God desires, a broken spirit and a contrite heart that does not despise His correction. May He grant them repentance so that they may recognize sin, hate it, and turn from it, and may He teach them to love truth and to act with compassion and honesty and with regard for human life.

We also pray for you and for all who are chosen in Christ, that the Lord would cover you with His peace and understanding and keep you hungering and thirsting after righteousness with all desire, not in a casual way but as those who thirst for water.
