Proverbs, Chapter 31

31:1 The words of King Lemuel; the oracle which his mother taught him.

31:2 What, my son? And what, O son of my womb? And what, O son of my vows?

31:3 Don't give your strength to women, Nor your ways to [those women who] destroy kings.

31:4 It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine; Nor for princes to desire strong drink.

31:5 Or else they will drink, and forget the law, And pervert the justice [due] to any who is afflicted.

31:6 Give strong drink to him who is ready to perish, And wine to the bitter in soul:

31:7 Let him drink, and forget his poverty, And remember his misery no more.

31:8 Open your mouth for the mute, In the cause of all such as are left desolate.

31:9 Open your mouth, judge righteously, And give justice to the poor and needy.

31:10 A worthy woman who can find? For her price is far above rubies.

31:11 The heart of her husband trusts in her, And he will have no lack of gain.

31:12 She does him good and not evil All the days of her life.

31:13 She seeks wool and flax, And works willingly with her hands.

31:14 She is like the merchant-ships; She brings her bread from far.

31:15 She rises also while it is yet night, And gives food to her household, And their task to her maidens.

31:16 She considers a field, and buys it; With the fruit of her hands she plants a vineyard.

31:17 She girds her loins with strength, And makes her arms strong.

31:18 She perceives that her merchandise is profitable: Her lamp does not go out by night.

31:19 She lays her hands to the distaff, And her hands hold the spindle.

31:20 She stretches out her hand to the poor; Yes, she reaches forth her hands to the needy.

31:21 She is not afraid of the snow for her household; For all her household has double clothes.

31:22 She makes for herself carpets of tapestry; Her clothing is fine linen and purple.

31:23 Her husband is known in the gates, When he sits among the elders of the land.

31:24 She makes linen garments and sells them, And delivers belts to the merchant.

31:25 Strength and majesty are her clothing; And she laughs at the time to come.

31:26 She opens her mouth with wisdom; And the law of kindness is on her tongue.

31:27 She looks well to the ways of her household, And does not eat the bread of idleness.

31:28 Her sons rise up, and call her blessed; Her husband [also], and he praises her, [saying]:

31:29 Many daughters have done worthily, But you excel them all.

31:30 Grace is deceitful, and beauty is vain; [but] a woman who fears Yahweh, she will be praised.

31:31 Give her of the fruit of her hands; And let her works praise her in the gates.

Open the mouth for the mute.   Let God use your mouth for the glory of His name.  The mute cannot express themselves as they would like to.  But we can use out mouth to praise, honor and glorify God in every circumstance in life.  Use our mouth Oh Lord, to the praise and honor of your name.  Amen

OPen your mouth. Judge righteously.   Dear Jesus, use my mouth to bless people,. to share the gospel and to sing songs of praise and honor to You.  You are the righteous judge and you will lift our souls to Yourself to serve you and give honor to your name. Amen

The Lord Jesus will deliver you from all kinds of problems and troubles you have.  He is a faithful heavenly Father who loves us all.  I sought the Lord and He answered me and delivered me from all my fears.   Psalm 34.4 is my favorite verse that I want to share with everyone.  Trust in Him alone.  He is near your heart.  Pray, fast and ask Jesus to save the souls of all your relatives, friends, loved ones and everone else you can think of.  Jesus will hear all your prayers and will bless you along your way.  Proverbs 31.10a   A worthy woman. Who can find them?   Jesus can.  We are all servants of the living God.  We are heaven bound.  We must serve Him with all our heart, mind and soul till He comes back to take us all home to glory.  That really is a wonderful thought for today.  Amen

Proverbs: 31:4,5: "It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine; Nor for princes to desire strong drink. Or else they will drink, and forget the law, And pervert the justice [due] to any who is afflicted."

This verse makes me wonder if there isn't a direct link between how much rulers---presidents, lobbyists, congress people, etc.--- drink hard liquor and how prone they are to corruption.

In my lifetime, one of the more reasonably decent presidents I saw live out his term in office was Jimmy Carter, a famous, "born-again" Baptist and Sunday school teacher. Carter did a lot more for the poor rather than the rich. That explains why the rich hated him and the banks did everything they could to make him look bad, raising interest rates and putting the blame on him. I understood Carter allowed no hard liquor in the White House. If that's true, was there a connection between his goodness and tea totalling? I honestly can't help but think so and this verse encourages me.

Richard Nixon, by contrast, I was told was a two-fisted drinker. I remember hearing that many mental health professionals considered him psychotic, especially over his brutal violence against the innocent people of Laos and Vietnam. Henry Kissinger, his aide and confidante, honestly wanted to drop the atomic bomb on those people! I can just picture him saying that holding a double Scotch, straight up, in his hand.

The heart of her husband trusts her.  What a wonderful note for every woman of God who loves Him more and above anything else in this world.  As she loves God with all her heart her husband trusts her and loves her more than ever before.  Ask Jesus today to fill you with His holy presence.  To make you a new and precious in His sight.  As you walk with Him He will show you the way to heaven.  Others will follow you.  Specially the family you care so much.  Pray for your children to get saved and to head straight to heaven.  In Jesus name.  Amen

Here comes the New Year.  What are we gona do for Jesus now that a new page is coming to our lives?

Let us all promise to be sincere with God and do His will without complaining or running away from HIm

Jesus will bring in us a new desire to be in the center of His will, reading daily HIs word and obeying what it says.

Open your mouth to the mute.  Prov. 31.8a  Share the gospel to those who cannot speak well of Jesus and invite all your friends, loved ones, nextdoor neighbors to church so they too will get saved  That is Gods will for all of us.

Even in the worst of times wnen we feel that time is slipping by and things are changing all around us.  Friends and loved ones move away and we stand all alone in the place that was familiar to us.  Let us look up to Jesus, the changeless  One.  The One that never ever gets old.  Life seems rife with possibliities. God is giving us a new chance to do good, to walk humbly with HIm and to obey His word. A woman that fears Yaweh shall be praised.  Prov. 31.30b   Men, women and children shall be praised when we serve God with all our heart, mind and soul.
