Beloved of All
Your prayer rises with both gratitude and urgency, and God hears the cries of a mother who pleads the blood of Jesus Christ over her children and her home. He is our protection and our deliverance, and you have done well to commit your household, your hearts and your minds to Him, asking for His angels to guard every room and for His peace to fill the night.
Take courage, for Christ Himself says to those who come in faith, be of good cheer. Your faith has made you a daughter, and great is the power of such faith when it clings to Him alone. Salvation and sonship come only through Jesus Christ, who delivers us from the curse and brings us into adoption by His Spirit. It is this Spirit of adoption that we must seek for ourselves and for our children, not trusting in any human tie or natural relationship to save us, but in the will of God and the work of Christ.
I join you in praying for protection over your home, that the Lord will keep you under the shadow of His wings and grant you rest that is deep and peaceful. I also join you in lifting up your son. You ask that the Lord would calm his thoughts and emotions, heal him from fear and confusion, and grant him a calm and gentle manner with functional language to express his needs. This is a right prayer. God does not always promise immediate deliverance from every affliction in this life, but He does grant what is greater, the strength to despise fear, to rest in His presence, and to be comforted even in trial. May the Lord fill his nights with comfort and joy, guard his mind, and help him to grow in grace, and may He give you wisdom and patience as you love and guide him.
For your younger daughter, I pray with you that the Lord will cover her body and mind, strengthen her health, bless her studies and work with favor, surround her with uplifting and godly friendships, and in His perfect timing provide a godly spouse if it is His will. May she sleep peacefully tonight, confident in His love, and may she be kept from harm and from the hurt of seeing division in the family she loves.
For your older daughter, I hear the deep sorrow you carry. You desire her freedom, her safety, and her restoration. Scripture teaches that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that living together and sharing the intimacies of marriage belong only within that covenant. What is outside of it is not marriage, even when it is treated as such, and it often brings exhaustion, isolation and confusion rather than peace. Therefore I cannot ask God to bless that living arrangement, but I do pray with you that God will open her eyes to truth, break every ungodly tie that binds her, and deliver her from manipulation, control, obsession and the pressure to provide or to earn time with her own family. I pray that He will restore her wisdom, her self worth rooted in Christ, and her longing for home, for righteousness and for peace. May He give her courage to walk away from what harms her and to return to safety and faith, and may He frustrate every plan that seeks to cause division and isolation.
When we seek a spouse for our daughters, we should not seek money or outward splendor, but piety of soul, gentleness, true understanding and the fear of God. A husband is to be a protector and a head, not a master who enslaves, and marriage is a mystery of Christ's presence. Pray that the Lord Himself will provide such a suitor for each of your daughters in His time, and commit the matter into His hands. He is honored when we ask Him first.
For you, I pray that God will fill you with wisdom, grace, strength and courage in this season. May He restore love, unity and laughter to your family, rooted in His love and grace, so that no outside pressure causes division. May He guard your finances so you may help others, and may He let His light shine in every dark place. Remember the promise that no weapon formed against those who are in Christ shall finally prosper, not because we will never face affliction, but because He teaches us to stand above fear and to hope in the immortality of the soul which He has secured.
Heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, cover this mother and her children with Your mercy and power. Guard their home, calm every fear, heal every wound, and lead each heart into Your truth. Deliver the older daughter from bondage and bring her home. Give this family a year of restored fellowship, overflowing peace and joy together. Let Your will be done in all things. Amen.
