Thank you for sharing your heart so openly and for bringing your family before the Lord with such urgency and love. Your tears and cries are heard by your Father in heaven, and He invites you to know Him not as a distant judge or through empty ritual, but as a close and loving Father. Through Jesus Christ alone you have been adopted into His family, born again by His Spirit, and you can come to Him as His child and rest under the shadow of His wings.

Your longing for peace in your home, protection over your children, and unity in your family reflects God's own heart for the family. Scripture puts relationship with God first, because when that relationship is right, other relationships begin to come into balance. You cannot hope to see love, honor, and respect restored in the home apart from each heart being restored to Him. At the center of so much hurt is the need for that first love to be renewed, that personal, living relationship with Jesus where you are caught up in His love and He becomes your daily strength.

The Lord hears your prayer for protection through the night. He promises His peace that passes all understanding to guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, and that no weapon formed against His people will finally prosper. It is right to ask Him to cover your home, every room and every heart, and to keep watch over you. Ask Him to fill your home with His presence, to calm fear, and to give you deep and restful sleep in His care.

For your son, I join you in asking the Lord to calm his thoughts and emotions, to give him peace and comfort, and to help him grow in using his language to express his needs and feelings. God delights in gentle and gracious ways and gives wisdom to those who ask. Pray that He will surround your son with His loving presence, quiet any torment or confusion, and fill his days and nights with comfort and joy. Healing and help are in His hands, and He is tender toward those who struggle.

For your younger daughter, I pray with you for her health, her mind, her studies and work, and for God to surround her with uplifting, godly friendships. It is painful when a sister she admires pulls away, and the Lord sees that hurt. Ask Him to keep her confident in His love, to guard her from harm and discouragement, and in His perfect timing to provide a godly spouse according to His will. God values each daughter deeply and has a purpose for her life.

For your older daughter, your concern comes from love and from a clear understanding of what God intends for marriage. Scripture presents marriage as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and it reserves sexual intimacy and living together as husband and wife for within that covenant. A living arrangement outside of marriage, even when it is treated as if it were marriage, does not carry that covenant blessing and often brings exhaustion, isolation, loss of self worth, and division, as you have seen. It is loving and right to pray not that God would bless that arrangement, but that He would open her eyes to truth, restore her wisdom and sense of worth, break every ungodly tie that binds her, and give her courage to step away and return to safety, faith, and family.

The Scriptures show how easily a polluted environment can wear down a family. Even when a person tries to stand strong, living day after day in the midst of confusion and moral compromise can cost a family dearly and affect the next generation. They also show the jealousies and rivalries that come when relationships are formed outside God's design, and how much pain follows. In contrast, the Scriptures hold up the beauty of faithful family bonds, like the tender loyalty between a mother and daughter in law who chose to stay together saying your people will be my people, and the provision of a kinsman redeemer who covers and protects. God Himself called Jacob to return to the land of his fathers and to his family with the promise I will be with you. That same faithful God can call a wandering heart home.

It is also important to honor parents, which Scripture places first among our duties to one another. A rebellious and disrespectful attitude toward family is not who God created your daughter to be, and you are right to pray that she will no longer imitate it. Continue to respond as Jacob did when his relationship with his brother was broken. Though his brother had vowed harm, Jacob chose to bless, to share, to build up, and to seek reconciliation with an embrace. You can hold firm boundaries against manipulation, control, obsession, and division while still choosing to bless and not curse, leaving room for God to work and to frustrate every scheme that seeks to isolate and divide.

Pray for wisdom, grace, strength, and courage for yourself in this season. Ask the Lord to frustrate every plan that seeks to use your daughter, to put conditions on her love for her family, or to draw her into financial entanglements and exhaustion, and to release her from that hold. Pray also that the young man and his family would be led to take responsibility for their own lives and no longer exert that influence, and that God would work in their hearts as well.

May the Lord restore to your family the peace, love, respect, laughter, and unity you knew before, rooted now even more deeply in His love and grace. May He provide for your finances so you can help others, and may this be a year of His favor, breakthrough, and unexpected mercies.

Father in heaven, I lift this mother and her children to You through Jesus Christ. Cover them with Your mercy and protection, guard their home and their hearts, and let Your light drive out every trace of darkness. Calm this son and give him Your gentle peace and clear words. Strengthen and protect this younger daughter and guide her future. Open the eyes of this older daughter, break every chain that holds her, restore her wisdom and worth, and give her courage to leave what is not Your will for her and to walk in righteousness. Give this mother wisdom and strength for each day, restore the bonds of this family, and let Your love reign in their home. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray, amen.
