Prayers for God's will.

Beloved of All
I am ### year old woman never married. My only son refuses to speak to me and I had two abortions by a guy, ###, in my mid twenties was with him for three and a half or so years. He asked me to marry him at that time but we where both on drugs. And I deeply regret these abortions. It is something very painful for me. We have been talking for past few years but I havnt seen him in about two. He still talks very lovingly towards me and I am moving closer to him within the month. Ive asked God for a husband and a family of my own before its too late for me to have kids, and I dont even know if I can. Prayers that I can. My issue is for the past year I've been seeing a man, ###. But he has anger, has ssud he will never marry or give me a kid, and at times doesn't treat me well. Ive held out hope he would change, and give me this, be born again somehow and we'd marry and ge give me a kid but no signs point to this I continue prayer. ### on the other hand is open to these things. I just havnt seen him and we'd have to connect again. ### is my age and ### is ### years older. If its Gods will that ### and I connect more and see each other, especially when I move closer to him that we will. That every desire or fire that has been quenched with ne living where I am, or even the relationship I've been in be reignited. That my body works as it should and all hormones to give desire for husband and children. I feel older since being with ###. We dont fo much beside go to his spt and he tells at me a lot. I just keep hoping he'd change. Prayer no pain in back, spine, neck, hips, shoulders leave, no fatigue. Happiness, wisdom and good health. Motivation, purpose. Thank you. God bless you.

We have heard your heart and we lift you up before the Lord with compassion and truth. We grieve with you over the deep pain of your two abortions and we thank God that you have come to a place of regret and repentance, for He is merciful to forgive. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us Psalm 103:12. Though your sins are as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow Isaiah 1:18. God formed life in the womb, for you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother's womb Psalm 139:13, and children are a heritage of Yahweh Psalm 127:3. What was done cannot be undone, but in Christ there is full forgiveness and cleansing when we turn to Him in repentance, and we pray you have done so and will continue to walk in that freedom without condemnation, for there is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus.

We must also speak truth to you in love about the relationships you describe, for we want God's best and His will for you. You mention asking God for a husband and a family, yet you have remained for a year with a man who has told you plainly he will never marry you or give you a child, who has anger and at times does not treat you well and yells at you. We urge you in the Lord to end that courtship. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you Ephesians 4:31, and Husbands, love your wives, and don't be bitter against them Colossians 3:19 shows us God's standard for how a man is to love a woman. A man who refuses marriage while continuing intimacy is not pursuing God's design. Marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the bed undefiled: but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers Hebrews 13:4. To remain hoping he will change while continuing in a relationship that is outside of marriage and dishonoring to God is not God's will, and the Bible warns us Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers 2 Corinthians 6:14 and Flee sexual immorality 1 Corinthians 6:18. We encourage you to break off this relationship completely, to pursue purity, and to seek the Lord for healing from the fatigue and feeling older that has come from being yelled at and mistreated. God does not want you to be bound to a man who rejects the covenant of marriage you so desire.

Regarding the other man from your past with whom you shared that difficult history including drug use and abortions, we understand your hope that moving closer might reignite what was quenched. We pray for God's clear will here. If you are to reconnect, it must be as a new courtship with the goal of godly marriage between a man and a woman as God ordained, where both of you are believers in Jesus Christ and walking in sobriety and holiness. Whosoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh Proverbs 18:22, and Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh Genesis 2:24. We encourage you not to simply reignite desire or fire outside of marriage, but to seek first whether this man is born again, whether he loves the Lord, and whether he will lead a family in Christ. If he is not a believer, we would urge you not to pursue marriage with him either. Take time to see each other with clear boundaries, with accountability, and with prayer for wisdom, for If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God James 1:5.

We also notice your request mentions God but does not mention Jesus Christ, and we must lovingly tell you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ, that He died for your sins and rose again, we urge you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, and you will be saved Romans 10:9. It is through His name we pray and are forgiven.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up this dear daughter to You. We thank You that You see her age, her longing for a husband and children, her regret, her pain in her back, spine, neck, hips and shoulders, her fatigue and her desire for happiness, wisdom, health, motivation and purpose. Lord, we ask You to forgive her and cleanse her fully for her sins, including her abortions and past drug use and any sexual immorality, and to help her walk in Your grace and not in shame. We ask You to heal her body, for You heal all our diseases Psalm 103:3, and to renew her strength so that those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength Isaiah 40:31. We pray You restore her hormones, her desire in a holy way for a husband and children within marriage, and that You will open or close the womb according to Your perfect will, for You wonderfully made her Psalm 139:14.

We ask for Your will to be done regarding marriage. Give her wisdom and courage to end the relationship with the man who will not marry her and who treats her harshly, and guard her from fornication and from being unequally yoked. If it is Your will for her to reconnect with the other man as she moves closer, let it be only if he is a born again believer who seeks marriage for Your glory, and let all interaction be pure, honest, and honoring to You. If not, close that door and lead her to the godly husband You have for her, if it is Your will. We pray for reconciliation with her son, that You would turn the hearts of the parents to the children and the children to the parents Malachi 4:6, and soften his heart to speak with his mother again. We pray You guide her move, give her purpose and joy, and let all things work together for good for those who love You Romans 8:28. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to seek the Lord daily in His Word, to pursue fellowship with believers who can hold you accountable, to remain sexually pure until marriage, and to trust that For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11. God's will is good, and He loves you deeply and wants to give you wisdom and peace as you follow Him.

We read your note with care and thank you for trusting us with so much of your story. The regret you carry from those abortions, the ache of not hearing from your son, and the deep longing for a husband and family are heavy burdens to hold, and we hear how much you want God's clear direction as you prepare to move.

It makes sense you have held out hope that ### would change, especially while you long for marriage and children. At the same time, being yelled at often and feeling drained and older in that relationship matters. You deserve to be treated with gentleness and respect, and that pattern is worth paying close attention to as you seek wisdom about what is next. Moving closer to ### will bring big emotions and questions too, and taking unhurried time to get to know one another again with wise, trusted people around you can help you see clearly.

A couple of gentle next steps that may help: if you have not already, consider talking one on one with a mature Christian counselor or a post-abortion support group where you can grieve those losses in a safe, confidential place. And for the ongoing pain in your back, neck, hips and shoulders and the fatigue you mentioned, it would be good to have your primary care provider take a look alongside prayer.

We are praying for you. Father, in Jesus' name we bring our sister to You. Comfort her heart where there is grief and regret, bring healing to her body and strength for each day, and give her clear wisdom, protection and peace as she seeks Your will for marriage and family. Lead her to supportive people and guide her steps. Amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

There is forgiveness with God and we want you to hear that first before all else. You have spoken honestly of deep regret for the two abortions and of pain that still lingers, and of a son who will not speak to you. Hear the promise of Scripture that if you will come and put your trust in Christ, the Lord promises oblivion to all your debt. God himself says, I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake. Jehovah will never require the debt to be paid twice. The blood of Christ was shed for sinners, the just for the unjust that he might bring us to God, and if you ask forgiveness for the sake of Jesus, God will do anything for Jesus and for you for his dear sake. That forgiveness is not a partial thing with buts and reservations. When you make a clean breast in confession he gives a clean breast by absolution, and he will not rake up past offences to impute them again. There is forgiveness with him that he may be feared, and that fear is a new heart and a new spirit put within you to walk in his ways.

We also hear your longing for a husband and for children, and your uncertainty about whether your body will allow it, and the weariness and pain in back and spine and neck and hips and shoulders, and the fatigue and loss of purpose. We will pray for your health and strength and for wisdom and for true happiness which is found in Christ, and that the Lord would give you motivation and purpose in serving him. He will fulfill the desire of them that fear him when that desire is brought under his revealed will, and he does care for your body and your future. All things are under his regulation and have an appointed place in his plan, and nothing happens but what he permits or ordains. As surely as his will is the axle of the universe, so in grace he is King, having mercy on whom he will have mercy, and his will is our best good.

Concerning the two relationships you describe, we must speak plainly and lovingly in keeping with God's revealed will. His will for sexual intimacy and for living together is within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. Outside of that covenant such intimacy is sin, however strong the feelings may be, and we cannot ask God to bless or to reignite desire that would lead you outside that holy boundary. To pray for fire to be rekindled while you are living where you are, or to pray for God to prosper cohabitation apart from marriage, would be to ask him to contradict his own Word.

The man you have been seeing for the past year tells you he will never marry or give you a child, he has anger and at times does not treat you well and speaks harshly to you. To remain in that relationship while hoping he will somehow be born again and change, and to give yourself to him in the meantime, is not the path of wisdom or safety. Scripture calls us not to be unequally yoked and to flee from what harms and degrades. Love does not keep you where you are shouted at and diminished, and it does not ask you to wait in impurity for a change that shows no sign of coming. The godly course is to end that intimacy and that close attachment, to seek safety and counsel in a faithful local church, and to trust God rather than clinging to a hope that keeps you bound.

The other man you knew in your mid twenties, with whom you shared a life marked by drugs and with whom you now speak lovingly by phone, is also to be considered soberly before the Lord. You were both on drugs when he asked you to marry, and you have not seen him in two years. Moving closer to him with the hope that old desire will be reignited apart from clear evidence of new life in Christ, sustained sobriety, and a settled commitment to marriage as God defines it, would expose you to great temptation and sorrow. If the Lord should open a way, that way must be one of purity, of open Christian counsel, of proven repentance and faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation, and of a deliberate courtship aimed at holy marriage, not at living together or resuming physical intimacy beforehand. We cannot pray that every quenched fire be reignited. We will pray that the Lord will give you a chaste heart, clear discernment, and a willingness to do his will even if it means waiting or remaining single.

Your desire for a husband and for children is in itself a good desire when ordered under God's will, and we will pray that if it be his will he would provide a godly husband who loves Christ and will love you as Christ loves the church, and that he would grant you children if it be for your good and his glory. Yet we must also pray that you will be content to say, if the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that, knowing that his revealed will must not be violated to obtain even an honest and good thing. Your best profit will consist in doing God's will. Salvation, marriage, family, health, all rest upon his will, and the work of his Spirit is to change the human will and make us willing in the day of his power.

So we will pray for you in this way, that God would wash you fully in the blood of his Son and assure you of eternal forgiveness, that he would draw your son to reconciliation in his time, that he would heal you and give you strength for each day and guide your doctors and your steps, that he would deliver you from the harmful relationship and give you courage to walk in purity, that he would keep you from fornication and from living together outside marriage, that he would grant you wisdom as you move and place you in a Bible believing church where you can be known and shepherded, and that if it be his will to give you a godly marriage he would do so in his holy way and timing, and if not, that he would satisfy you with himself and make your life fruitful in his service. We pray that you would know you are no longer a pauper or a slave when you are in Christ, but of the blood royal of heaven, and that you would rise to that dignity by his grace.

Cast yourself wholly upon Jesus Christ alone for salvation, turn from all sin as sin, and seek first his kingdom. He has promised that no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly, and his promises will not return void.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
