We join you in lifting up South Africa before the throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, and we thank you for coming boldly in His name for your nation, for we know there is no other name by which we can be saved and no other name by which we have access to the Father. As it is written, There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus 1 Timothy 2:5 and In no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12.
We stand with you in prayer for the high unemployment in your country. We know the pain and discouragement this brings to families and communities, and we know God desires that people work with dignity and provide for their households. The Scripture says, In all hard work there is profit, but the talk of the lips leads only to poverty Proverbs 14:23 and Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men Colossians 3:23. We pray that the Lord would open doors for honest work, that He would give wisdom to leaders to create opportunities, and that He would stir the hearts of employers and workers alike to seek His provision with diligence and integrity.
Our hearts are burdened with you for the youth who are turning to alcohol, drugs, and prostitution because of hopelessness. We must gently but clearly say that these paths are not the answer and they do not align with God's will, for they bring destruction to body and soul. The Word warns us, Don't be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit Ephesians 5:18 and Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body 1 Corinthians 6:18. Prostitution is fornication, a sin against God and against one's own body, and drunkenness and drug use cloud the mind God gave us to serve Him. We pray for deliverance for these young people, that they would turn from these sins and find true hope and purpose in Christ, for He alone can set the captives free and give new life. We pray for the church and families to reach out with compassion and truth to guide them into repentance and restoration.
We also lift up the governing party and all those in authority, as we are commanded to do. We pray, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men, for kings and for all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence 1 Timothy 2:1-2. We pray that God would bring unity where there is fighting and division, for Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity Psalm 133:1. We pray that the hearts of leaders would be turned toward justice, humility, and service to the people rather than strife, for The king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires Proverbs 21:1. We ask that every authority would remember that Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God Romans 13:1, and therefore they are accountable to Him to act righteously.
We join you in praying for the candidate councillors chosen by the communities who are seeking to be listed for the local government elections and who now face a court case. We pray for a miracle from Almighty God if it is His will, that truth and justice would prevail and that those who genuinely desire to serve the community would be given opportunity to do so with honesty. We pray that the judges and all involved would act with fairness and not with favoritism, for Yahweh loves justice Psalm 37:28. We ask that whether the door is opened or remains closed, these candidates and the communities would trust in God's sovereignty and continue to seek the welfare of their neighbors in love and integrity.
Father in heaven, we come together in the name of Jesus Christ and ask for Your mercy upon South Africa. Have mercy on the unemployed and provide for their daily needs, open the eyes of the youth to see the destruction of alcohol, drugs and sexual immorality and draw them to repentance and to the hope of the gospel. Heal divisions within the governing party and among all leaders, grant them wisdom to govern justly and to seek peace. We ask You to move in this court case concerning the local councillors, let Your will be done and let justice roll on like waters. We pray for revival in the nation, that people would seek You first, for Blessed is the nation whose God is Yahweh Psalm 33:12. Give strength to Your people there to be salt and light, to work honestly, to live purely, and to pray without ceasing. We trust You to answer according to Your perfect wisdom and love, in Jesus' name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to continue steadfast in prayer and to trust the Lord's timing, remembering that If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land 2 Chronicles 7:14. Keep interceding for your nation, sharing the hope of Christ with the youth, and supporting honest and godly leadership, for God is faithful to hear and to work for good for those who love Him.
Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.
