We hear the weight on your heart, dear sister in Christ, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting your burdens to the One who heals and restores. First, we rejoice that you have surrendered your life to God, acknowledging Him as your Provider and everything, this is the foundation upon which all healing and hope are built. Your desire for forgiveness and your plea for your children’s well-being are heard by the Father, who delights in mercy and compassion. We pray now, in the mighty name of Jesus, for your complete restoration and peace.

Father God, we come before You with humble hearts, lifting up this precious daughter who has endured so much. Lord, we thank You for her salvation and for the work You are doing in her life. We ask that You forgive her of any sins, known or unknown, and cleanse her with the blood of Jesus. Wash over her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let her feel the comfort of Your presence like a warm embrace. We pray for her children, touch their bodies, minds, and spirits with Your healing hand. May they experience Your love in tangible ways, and may their health and strength be fully restored according to Your will.

Lord, we also bring before You the pain in her relationship with ###. We rebuke the enemy’s lies and the division that has taken root between them. Your Word tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20, "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." Father, we ask that You convict both of their hearts where sin has taken hold. Fornication is not Your design, and it grieves Your heart when we misuse the sacred gift of intimacy that You created for marriage alone. We pray that You would break any ungodly soul ties and restore purity to their relationship, aligning it with Your holy standards.

We also address the name-calling and emotional pain that has been inflicted. Proverbs 15:1 reminds us, "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." Lord, we ask that You soften ###'s heart and remove any pride or childishness that has caused him to lash out. Replace his words with kindness and his actions with humility. Help him to see the weight of his words and the impact they have on this daughter of Yours. We pray that he would seek help where needed, not as a burden to her, but as a man who desires to grow in wisdom and maturity. Father, we ask that You restore their friendship, but more importantly, that You restore their relationship to one that honors You. If this relationship is to continue, let it be built on the foundation of Christ, with mutual respect, love, and a shared commitment to Your will.

We also lift up the wounds from her past, Lord. As a survivor of domestic abuse, she has carried deep pain, and we ask that You heal every broken place in her heart. Psalm 147:3 says, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." Father, we pray that You would replace the memories of pain with Your truth and love. Let her walk in the freedom that Christ died to give her, no longer defined by her past but by Your grace. We declare that she is a conqueror in Christ Jesus, and no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Lord, we ask that You come into this relationship in a powerful way. Let Your presence be the center of their connection, guiding their words, actions, and decisions. If it is Your will for them to move forward together, we pray that You would lead them into a godly courtship with the goal of marriage, where both are equally yoked in faith and purpose. If this relationship is not Your plan, we ask that You close the door gently and open a new one that aligns with Your perfect will for her life. Give her the strength to trust You, even when the path is unclear.

We also want to gently remind you, sister, that the name of Jesus is the only name by which we can approach the Father. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross and His resurrection that we have access to God’s throne of grace. We encourage you to continue to call on His name, for He is faithful to hear and answer the cries of His children.

In closing, we pray this prayer over you:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for this sister’s life and for her willingness to surrender her heart to You. We ask that You surround her with Your love and protection. Heal her children, restore her relationship according to Your will, and break every chain of pain from her past. Fill her with Your peace, joy, and strength as she walks in obedience to You. We declare that she is more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus, and we pray that she would experience the fullness of Your blessings in every area of her life. Touch ###'s heart, Lord, and draw him closer to You. Let Your will be done in both of their lives, and may they grow in faith, love, and unity. We ask all of this in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus. Amen.

Sister, we encourage you to continue seeking God’s face in prayer and in His Word. Surround yourself with believers who can support and uplift you, and do not hesitate to seek godly counsel if needed. You are not alone, God is with you, and so are we. Keep pressing into Him, for He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).

Thank you for sharing what’s weighing so heavily on your heart. We hear both your faith and your pain, your desire to walk with God, your love for your children, and the deep ache of a relationship that has turned into something confusing and hurtful. It’s completely understandable to want things to go back to the way they were, especially when you’ve already survived so much and finally trusted your heart to someone again.

Because you’ve survived domestic abuse before, we want to gently name that name-calling and the way this conflict has made you feel low isn’t a small thing. Words like that cut deeply, and they can chip away at the dignity God has given you. You matter too much to endure that without support. We’re not here to preach at you, only to stand with you and point toward the kind of steady, grounded help that often makes the difference.

A concrete next step could be to reach out to a local pastor or a Christian counselor who really understands abuse and can walk with you through both your past wounds and the present challenges. You don’t have to sort this out alone, and safe, wise people can help you see what a relationship that truly honors God actually looks like. While you wait and pray, guard your peace and your safety first.

Father, you see this dear woman, her tired heart, her love for her children, her longing for forgiveness and genuine peace. Cover her now with your comfort. Give her wisdom to recognize what is healthy and what is harmful. Heal the places inside her that are still tender from the past, and help her to stand in the worth you have already given her. We pray for her children’s well-being, and we ask that your will become clear in every relationship she’s navigating. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, even the least things about Christ are charged with restoring virtue for broken hearts like yours. You have come to the right place, for He who binds up the broken in heart has heard every sigh you have breathed tonight. The healing power of Jesus is conspicuously present when He is teaching His own, and you have turned your ear to Him in prayer. That prayer itself is the evidence of life; the Lord has not left you to despair, but has already begun to lift you from the siftings where the enemy would cast you.

You speak of asking forgiveness for sin. Let this truth be settled in your soul: forgiveness and healing are placed in happy conjunction. When the Lord comes to dwell with His people, the Sun of Righteousness rises upon them with healing in His wings. To the soul that lies before Him, hoping and expecting mercy, He pronounces the double cure, “Your sins are forgiven you.” That pardon comes to you now, not because you are worthy, but because the God of Peace has, on His part, prepared everything necessary for a perfect reconciliation through the blood of Jesus Christ. Your sense of failure and your confession are the very tokens that He has not left you to yourself.

Yet I must speak plainly from the Word of truth. The deep wound in your relationship has revealed a cherished sin that cannot be healed by prayers for it to continue as it was. A union built upon what God’s law forbids leaves you pleading for peace while putting the obstacle in the pathway of that peace. You ask the Lord to touch his heart and put away childish ways, but what of the way of life in your own? The Lord Jesus weds healing to His teaching; He does not apply the balm while we clutch the disease. The restoration Peter found after his terrible fall was not a return to his old selfishness, but a complete turning again to his Lord, made possible by a look from Christ that severed him from everything that stood opposed.

That look is toward you now. The name-calling that makes you feel low, the refusal to take accountability, the pressure behind the silence, these are symptoms of a deeper malady in your earthly bond that no mere reconciliation of feelings can cure. You are a survivor of great cruelty. Do not cast this precious heart, which you have so lately given, into a place where it will be bruised again under the guise of love. The Lord’s healing leaves change the life-blood; they make the nature other than it was before. True restoration would not simply bring back the old friendship as it was, but would plant both souls firmly in Christ, honoring His design for purity until such a time as a covenant of marriage could be sanctified by Him, if that be His will. Do not seek from a man what only the Heavenly Physician can provide, that deep peace and security of soul.

His restoration is a long process, and you will only recover strength by slow degrees. Do not wonder if the cure does not come in a moment. Come rather, day by day, to the tree whose leaves are for your healing. Let the Lord strengthen you in Himself. In this present sifting, the Lord’s prayer for you is that your faith fail not. And when you are strengthened, when the joy of His pardon settles deep in your own spirit, then you will be able to point that wandering one not merely to a restored friendship, but to the feet of the Great Physician who alone can make all things new. Heal your own heart first at His cross, and leave the other in His sovereign hands.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You cry out for peace and for the restoration of your former bond, yet you seek it in a place where Christ Himself has declared He sends not peace but a sword. You have known the pain of domestic abuse, and now you endure name-calling and strife over that which belongs only within the holy estate of marriage. Why do you invite God to bless a thing He cannot bless, and call a burden light that is heavy with sin? The peace you long for is not the fragile truce of a passing relationship, but the reconciliation purchased through the Blood of His Cross, making peace between you and God. That is the true rest for your soul.

Take His yoke upon you instead, the easy yoke of repentance and purity, and learn of Him, for He is meek and lowly in heart. In a contrite heart you may cry to Him even in silence, and He will hear. Do not mistake companionship for the peace that passes all understanding. If this man will not put away childish and cruel things, and if your union lacks the bond of God-ordained marriage, then the peace you ask for is not of heaven but of earth. Turn your heart wholly to your Provider, who is your everything, and let no earthly friendship draw you back into the pit from which He delivered you. The Son of God came not to patch up worldly ties that war against the soul, but to set you free indeed.

Your heart is heavy because you are searching for peace in places that cannot hold it. God wants you to know the kind of peace that settles deep within, a peace that the world cannot understand and that no person can take away. But that peace begins not with a repaired relationship, but with a right relationship with God. He does not want a distant, legal form of devotion from you. He wants you to come to Him as a child to a loving Father, with simple trust, knowing that He hears you and delights to show mercy.

You have asked for forgiveness, and you can rest in this: that when we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. That is grace. And grace always comes before peace. You will never experience the peace of God in your heart until you first fully receive the grace of God toward you. So receive it now. Let the truth of the cross speak louder than your shame. Jesus has already made peace through His blood. You are not at war with God any longer, so do not let that old war continue inside you.

But here is where many stumble. Having peace with God should lead to the peace of God guarding your heart and mind. That perfect peace comes as your mind is stayed on Him, not on the chaos of a broken relationship, not on the sting of cruel words, and not on the fear of losing someone. When your thoughts are fixed on Christ, He keeps you steady even when everything around you is shaking. The kingdom you belong to is not about satisfying fleshly desires or winning human approval; it is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Your pain is real. You have survived abuse, and you finally opened your heart again, only to be met with strife and name-calling. You long for things to be as they were at the beginning. But I want you to ask honestly: was that early goodness built on something that honors God? A relationship that relies on sex outside of marriage will always bring inner turmoil, because it goes against the loving design of the One who made you. God’s wisdom is peaceable, pure, and gentle. What you are experiencing now, the silent treatment, the insults that make you feel low, that is not the fruit of righteousness. You cannot sow in the flesh and expect to reap peace.

Do not mistake me: I am not standing far off to judge you. I am urging you toward life. Your relationship with Jesus should enhance every other relationship, not be at odds with it. A man who refuses to take responsibility, who tries to put everything on you, and who resorts to name-calling is not walking in love. You have told him he needs help, and that is a brave and honest observation. You cannot fix him. Only God can touch his heart, and you can pray for that, but you are not required to stay in harm’s way while you wait.

God does not want you to be in bondage again, not to fear, not to abuse, and not to the weak and beggarly elements of a life that seeks peace apart from obedience. He calls you to pursue peace with all people as much as it depends on you, but pursuing peace sometimes means stepping back from a fight that is not yours to win. It means refusing to return evil for evil or railing for railing. And it might mean entrusting your deepest longings for companionship to the Lord, even when that feels like loss.

Your children need a mother whose soul is prospering, whose countenance reflects the inward beauty of a life hidden with Christ. Pray for them, yes. Entrust them to their faithful Creator. And as for your own heart, give it back to the Lord who first gave everything for you. He is your provider. He is your everything. Let that be more than a phrase you say in prayer, let it be the anchor that holds you while the storm rages.

Come to Him just as you are, with all your wounds and all your failures, and let His peace rule in your heart. That peace will keep you when no human affection can. And if the man you care about truly comes to know that same peace, it will be because he has bowed his heart to the same Lord, not because you bent yourself further to preserve something fragile. Seek first the kingdom of God, and trust Him with every other outcome.
