Prayers for my ### and my brothers ### for soon and need more food soon

We hear your heartfelt cry for provision for yourself and your brother, and we lift this need before the Lord with great compassion. The Bible assures us that our Heavenly Father knows our needs before we even ask Him. In Matthew 6:31-33, Jesus tells us, "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

We rebuke the spirit of lack and anxiety in the name of Jesus Christ. The enemy may try to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that God is your provider, Jehovah Jireh, and He will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are a God who sees, hears, and provides for Your children. Lord, we lift up and their brother to You, asking that You would open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing so great that there will not be room enough to receive it (Malachi 3:10). Father, we ask that You would provide food for their table and meet every need they have. We rebuke the spirit of poverty and lack, and we declare that You are their source and supply.

Lord, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for and their brother. Guide them to opportunities where they can work diligently, as the Bible instructs us that those who do not work should not eat (2 Thessalonians 3:10). However, we also know that You are a God of miracles, and we ask that You would move mightily on their behalf. Provide for them in ways that only You can, so that Your name may be glorified.

Father, we ask that You would draw and their brother closer to You during this time. Let them seek You first above all else, and may they find their strength and hope in You. Surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

We also pray for the body of Christ to rise up and be Your hands and feet. Place people in their lives who will show them Your love and provide for their needs as You lead. Let Your church be a beacon of hope and a testament to Your faithfulness.

Lord, we thank You in advance for Your provision. We trust in Your promises and believe that You will never leave nor forsake Your children (Hebrews 13:5). May and their brother experience Your love and provision in a tangible way, and may their faith be strengthened as they see Your hand at work in their lives.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to hold fast to God’s promises and continue to seek Him with all your heart. Remember, He is faithful, and His mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He will lead you through this season. If you do not yet know Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, we invite you to turn to Him today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and can experience His love, grace, and provision.

Lord Jesus, you see this family and their empty shelves. You know how hard it is to wait when stomachs are growling. Please provide food for them, soon and in a way that reminds them you haven’t forgotten. Guide them to the right help, whether through a pantry, a kind neighbor, or a surprise provision. Steady their hearts and let them feel your care even in the middle of this strain. In your name, amen.

The need for daily bread presses heavily upon you, and upon those you love. This is no small thing, for when the stomach is empty and the cupboard bare, the heart is prone to faint. Yet remember that your true necessity lies deeper still. The body cries out for sustenance, and well it may, but the soul has an infinitely greater hunger, one that no loaf can satisfy. You come pleading for food that perishes; I bid you come also for the Bread which endures to everlasting life. Christ Jesus, who had not where to lay His head, knows your poverty and your straits. He healed those that had need of healing, and His compassion is not diminished toward those whose need is urgent and actual. Do not imagine you must first better your circumstances to approach Him; you need only to come, empty-handed and desperate, to the Friend of sinners in their time of need.

See, then, how every pang of bodily hunger is a sermon to your soul. You require meat to keep the body alive; you require grace to keep the soul from death. None can keep alive his own soul. If the Lord should withhold the breath from your lungs for a moment, you would perish. And if He should withdraw His Spirit from your heart, you would plunge into every evil. Therefore, while you pray for provision, pray yet more earnestly for the Holy Spirit to work in you that full dependence upon God. Many die with plenty of bread upon their table, because their souls are starved. Do not let this distress pass without seeking the heavenly manna. Venture into your little dwelling and upon your humble meal, but do not venture without having called upon God for guidance and blessing. He has said, "All things are yours," and that includes the very crust that you need.

As for your brothers and your household, bring them in your prayers to the mercy seat. Cry out to Him who feeds the ravens and clothes the lilies. Test Him, for there is nothing like putting Christ to the test. When your want is most bitter, then is the time to prove His faithfulness. He is no cold friend who hands you a bottle and bids you serve yourself; He is the Friend indeed, who in your beggary and desperation draws near and supplies all your need according to His riches in glory. The provision from the hands of men is often doled out with sternness, but the giving of the Lord is full of tenderness. He remembers the poor and needy. Only take care that your urgency for temporal food does not drown out the far more solemn urgency to seek the Lord while He may be found. For what will it profit you if your pantry is filled but your soul is lost?

Therefore, let this very trial drive you closer to Christ. Others may rise in the world, and you may not. Your lot may be to lack, but blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness. If your sadness of heart over these things makes you more watchful, more prayerful, more clinging to the promises, then poverty shall prove a rich mercy. I pray that the God of all grace will soon supply your bodily need, and with it give you such a taste of His goodness that you will never again doubt His care. And O, that every member of your family might be led by the Spirit into the glorious liberty of the children of God, for that is the summit of all provision. To your knees, then, with honest cries for bread, but with a soul that reaches beyond the loaf to the living Word. The Lord’s throne stands firm, and what you commit to His hands He will secure till the decisive hour.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. You speak of needing food, and this is a need the Lord knows well. Recall how the disciples saw the hungry crowds in the wilderness and asked, "Whence should we have so many loaves?" They looked at what was lacking, not at who was standing before them. The Lord said, "Give ye them to eat," precisely to bring them to an urgent need of entreating Him. He did not ignore the body's necessity, but He would teach you to trust first in the Giver.

Make provision for the body, yes, but for health and to fulfill your duties, not to kindle wanton appetites. What nourishes is a sufficiency that can be digested; what goes beyond need not only fails to nourish but spoils the rest and breeds countless diseases of soul and body alike. Seek what is truly needful, and spend your chief industry on the care of spiritual things. The present life is a sleep, and its anxieties are no different from dreams.

Yet even that little you have, if you hold it lightly, can be given up when asked, and the Lord will not be outdone in generosity. The disciples, when commanded to bring the five loaves, did not say, "Whence shall we appease our own hunger?" but obeyed at once. If you give heed to the Scriptures, you will not be entangled by the deceit of want, but will draw others out of danger. Entreat the Lord for daily bread, and let your first urgency be the food that does not perish, for if the moral principle fails, what dreadful evil will that not undergo? Seek first the bridegroom's welcome, and trust that He who made you, needing nothing from you, yet knows your frame and its necessities.

I hear the weight of this need, and I want you to know that the Lord is not distant from it. The hunger pressing on your family is something he fully understands, and he has always made provision for his people in times of scarcity. Think back to the way God commanded Noah to gather food for his household and for the animals before the flood came. Our God thinks ahead, he cares for the physical needs of those who look to him, and he has given us the freedom to receive what the earth produces, the grains, the vegetables, and yes, even the meat, to sustain our bodies. He is the one who opens his hand and satisfies the desire of every living thing.

There are seasons when the want feels as desperate as a donkey's head selling for silver in a besieged city, and you wonder where the next meal will come from. But the same Lord who caused the enemy to flee and leave their camp full of food, who made provision appear suddenly in Samaria when the people were starving, is still working today. He can open doors you haven’t seen, provide resources you didn’t know were available, and move hearts to share. The ant gathers in summer because it knows winter is coming, so we too are wise to plan and to ask, but our ultimate confidence rests in the Father who feeds the birds and clothes the grass of the field.

And while you pray earnestly for this food, remember the deeper family you belong to. When Jesus walked the earth, his own blood relatives often did not understand him, and he taught that there is a bond among those who do the will of God that runs even deeper than natural family ties. If you are trusting in Christ, you are not alone. You have been brought into a household where the members care for one another, and that often becomes God’s means of supply. Look to him first, lay your request before him honestly, and then watch for how he may use the brothers and sisters around you to meet this need. He has made provision for your greatest need, your sin, through the blood of his Son. He will not abandon you now in the hunger of your body. Keep trusting, keep asking, and know that he sees you.
