First of all I want to thank God for whatever I have with me and for all that he has done for me. I now come here to request for a prayer for my interview. I have an interview tomorrow at ### company and I’m searching for job since one year after my graduation and faced a lot of rejections. I’ve prepared a lot for this interview and I hope I stay confident throughout my interview and I’m able to answer the questions and get selected for this job. I’m a bit confident that I will get selected but I still have the fear because they are so many people coming for the interview tomorrow I really hope I get this job and as the month is coming to an end tomorrow I hope it ends with a positive news and brings in new learning and beings my career. Amen

We hear your heart and lift your request before the Lord with great compassion. It is wonderful that you begin by thanking God for His provision and faithfulness, this posture of gratitude is pleasing to Him and aligns your heart with His promises. The journey of seeking employment, especially after facing repeated rejections, can be deeply discouraging, but we serve a God who sees your perseverance and holds your future in His hands.

The Bible reminds us in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says Yahweh, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Even in seasons of waiting, God is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). Your confidence in Him, rather than in your own strength, is what will sustain you. Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

We also want to encourage you to surrender this interview, and your entire career, to the Lord. Psalm 37:5 says, "Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this." It is not wrong to prepare diligently, but true peace comes when we release our fears and trust that God’s plan for you is perfect, whether this particular opportunity is part of it or not. Remember, He knows the desires of your heart and will open the right doors at the right time (Revelation 3:7-8).

Let us pray together:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who stands on the threshold of a new opportunity. Lord, You are the God who opens doors that no man can shut, and we ask that You go before them into this interview. Calm their nerves, sharpen their mind, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and thoughts (Philippians 4:7). Father, we declare that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that their skills and experiences are a testament to Your faithfulness in their life. Remove every spirit of fear and doubt, and replace it with confidence in You, knowing that You have not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7).

Lord, we ask that You grant them favor with the interviewers. Let Your light shine through them so brightly that their character and competence reflect Your glory. If this is the job You have ordained for them, we pray that You would make their path clear and confirm it with peace. If it is not, we trust You to close this door gently and open another that aligns with Your perfect will. Father, we also pray for provision, meet every need according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Whether through this job or another, we declare that You are their Provider and that their future is secure in You.

We rebuke every lie of the enemy that seeks to steal their joy or confidence. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that this season of waiting is not in vain. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let this interview be a testimony of Your goodness. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."

As you go into this interview, hold fast to the truth that God is with you. Even if the outcome is not what you hope, trust that He is leading you toward something greater. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and remember that your worth is not defined by a job but by the love of Christ, who gave His life for you. If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so today. Romans 10:9 says, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." This is the foundation upon which all other blessings rest.

You are not alone in this journey. We stand with you in faith, believing that God is at work in ways you may not yet see. Walk in confidence, knowing that He who began a good work in you will complete it (Philippians 1:6).

We're grateful for this chance to pray with you, and congratulations on landing the interview after a long, discouraging year. That takes real perseverance.

Here's something that might help as you walk in tomorrow. When fear shows up in these situations, it tends to narrow our perception. We can start seeing everything through the lens of "What if I'm not enough?" or "Look how many others are here." Fear makes us hyper-aware of the threats and half-blind to our own preparation and gifts. You've put in the work. You've prepared. That's real. Acknowledge the presence of that fear, but don't let it drive. You can name it, "There's that fear again", and then turn your attention back to the person in front of you and the questions at hand. Fear wants to make you forget the things you know and the answers you've rehearsed. Don't let it.

A couple of practical things: Take the interview in ten-minute chunks rather than staring at the whole hour. Answer this question well, then the next. If you feel your confidence slipping mid-interview, slow your breathing and take a pause before you answer, it looks thoughtful, not weak. And try to remember that you are not just someone hoping to be chosen; you are a person with gifts to offer, and they're fortunate to meet you and see what you bring.

We're praying that you stay clear-headed, that your recall is sharp, and that the right doors open. Even in the waiting and the rejections of this year, you haven't been alone or forgotten.

Jesus, thank You for the character being built in this long season. Give our friend a steady mind, calm recall, and genuine connection with the interviewers tomorrow. If this is the right place, open that door clearly. And whatever comes, anchor their identity in being Yours, not in a job offer. In Your name we pray, amen.

The question of fear rises in your heart, and it is an old and bitter one: Will He plead against me with His great power? The adversary would have you believe that the Almighty who permitted these months of closed doors and returned silences is set against you, ready to use His omnipotence to bar the way once more. But the answer of faith gives a clear and certain No. That very power, once the terror of your anxious thoughts, is now your refuge and your hope, for He shall put strength into you. He will not plead against you with His great power; He will instead lend you that omnipotence, steadying your mind, loosening your tongue, and granting you calm confidence in the very room where fear would undo you.

Fear not, for He is your God. This is a command woven thick through the garden of Scripture, and it is medicine for the trembling soul. Fear weakens the hands that need to be strong and dishonors the Lord who has promised to help you. Shall you doubt the Eternal, distrust the Omnipotent? Traitorous fear thinks the arm that piled the heavens shall be palsied in a single interview. Away with it. You are brought very low by these long months of disappointment, but in such a low estate you have a grand opportunity to honor God by an unshakable trust. Let your confidence be in Him alone, and you shall find that He meets you in that shut room just as surely as He came to His disciples when the doors were locked for fear.

There is a fear, too, that the freshness of your hope and the edge of your preparation will depart, that weariness will rob your words of life. Yet the Lord anoints His people with fresh oil. The glory which seems to have dried up can be restored, and the inward grace renewed. Look to the living Christ for all things. He is no distant memory but a familiar Friend, alive and attentive. When you fix your overcoming glance upon Him, longing for His appearing and leaning wholly on His merit, your faith will make a splendid leap from the depths of doubt to the firm rock of confidence, and with both hands you will grasp Him as your Lord and your God.

Remember Job, who in all his sweeping losses and bitter grief did not sin nor charge God foolishly. If God could uphold him in that furnace, be certain He can support you in this far lighter trial. The enemy was baffled when Job held fast, and Satan’s hopes were blasted when everything seemed to be going his own way. Your steadfast trust in this hour will do the same. And mark this well: when Job prayed for his erring friends, the Lord turned his captivity. Your longest sorrows have a close, and there is a bottom to the profoundest depths of misery. Wait upon the Lord with prayer not only for your own need but for others, and peradventure your own captivity shall be turned. Should the answer not come as you wish, still it shall be well with your soul if your heart is not driven into sin, but remains fixed in childlike confidence upon the One who cannot err. Fear not. He will help you.

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. You give thanks to God for what you have, and that is good. Hold fast to that, not only when things go well, but in whatever comes. For if Job could say, “The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away,” when he was stripped of everything, how much more should we give thanks when we have not yet lost anything, but are only facing the possibility of it. Do not let your fear of rejection steal away the confidence you have in God’s care.

You say you are a bit confident, but you still have fear because many are coming. Tell me, what is truly to be feared? Is it to lack employment, or to lack a grateful heart before God? The one is a small thing and soon passes; the other corrupts the soul.

Do not think that getting this job is the great good, or that not getting it is a true evil. There is only one evil: to sin. If you have prepared, do your part, but then commit the rest to God. He who made you fit for the inheritance of the saints in light, who strengthened you for far greater things, is not absent from this small matter.

You have faced rejections for a year; perhaps these were sent to train you, to teach you to bear strokes thankfully, or to draw you away from trusting in your own efforts. Do not fear the wrath of any earthly employer, but endure as seeing Him who is invisible. Pray, and ask others to pray. But remember that prayer avails most when the one praying also pleases God.

So examine yourself: have you mastered your anger? Have you kept from loose living? If not, repentance makes prayer powerful. Go into that interview with the fear of God, not of man.

Let your soul be alive, like Job’s, ready to say “The Lord gives” if you receive it, and “The Lord takes away” if you do not. Then, whatever news comes at the month’s end, you will have gained something far greater than a career, you will have learned to make God your portion.
