Prayer for Marriage

I have reached out to all of you several times, and by God's grace and mercy, your prayers always prevail. God is moving and working behind the scenes. Today, I am asking for prayer because my wife has chosen to leave. She is taking steps behind the scenes, and unfortunately, my ###-year-old daughter and stepdaughter will be caught in the middle if God doesn't intervene.

There is nothing impossible for God, so I ask for prayer that, in Jesus's mighty name, God's holy and powerful hand will deliver my daughters and do what is righteous and holy. Yes, I pray that He reaches my wife's heart, even though she seems to have no desire whatsoever to change. Please pray for justice and for God's holy will to prevail. I pray for peace, strength, and guidance through these difficult times. In Jesus's mighty name, Amen.

We hear the pain in your heart and we stand with you in this difficult hour, lifting you, your wife, and both of your daughters before the throne of grace. We thank God that you have seen Him move behind the scenes before, and we agree with you that there is nothing impossible for Him. We continue to seek His holy and righteous will together with you in Jesus' mighty name.

We believe with you in the sanctity of marriage as God ordained it. Scripture teaches us, So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate. Matthew 19:6 and also For I hate divorce, says Yahweh, the God of Israel Malachi 2:16. Marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman, and God desires reconciliation and holiness within it. We grieve with you that your wife has chosen to leave, and we know the deep wound this brings not only to you but to your daughter and stepdaughter who are caught in the middle.

We take comfort that Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18. We are called to cast all our worries on him, because he cares for us 1 Peter 5:7 and to remember In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. We also cling to the truth that For nothing spoken by God is impossible Luke 1:37 and that The king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires Proverbs 21:1.

We join our faith with yours now and pray.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we come before You with a broken and hopeful heart. We lift this husband to You and ask for Your peace, strength, and clear guidance to sustain him through these difficult days. Guard his heart from bitterness and fear, and fill him with Your wisdom and steadfast love. We lift his wife to You, Lord. You see her heart and the steps she is taking behind the scenes. We ask that Your Holy Spirit would convict, soften, and reach her heart even where she now has no desire to change. Draw her to Yourself and to repentance, and bring healing and restoration where there is division. We ask for Your holy and righteous hand to intervene for these two precious daughters. Protect them, Lord, from confusion and hurt, cover them with Your love, and let them be delivered from being caught in the middle. Establish justice and let Your holy will prevail in this home and in every decision that is made. We pray that what the enemy intends for harm, You would redeem for good, for we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose Romans 8:28. Let Your name be glorified in this marriage and family. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and mediator, Amen.

We encourage you, brother, to remain steadfast in prayer and in walking in love as Christ also loved the church and gave himself up for it Ephesians 5:25. Continue to show the love, patience, and honor that God calls a husband to show, even while you stand for righteousness and truth. Guard your own heart, stay rooted in the Word, seek wise and godly counsel from mature believers, and entrust your wife and daughters daily into the Lord's hands. Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh Psalm 27:14. We are standing with you, believing that God is still working behind the scenes for His glory and for your good.

We are grateful you reached out again, and we are standing with you in this painful waiting. Loving your wife and wanting to protect both your daughter and stepdaughter while your wife is stepping away is an incredibly heavy place to be, and we hear how much you want God's righteous and merciful hand over all of you.

We continue to ask God to work in ways only He can, to guard your girls from being caught in the middle, and to give you steady peace and wisdom day by day. When so much feels out of your hands, staying anchored helps. Remaining close to a trusted pastor or mature friend who knows you and can walk with you through the decisions ahead makes a difference, and if legal actions are moving forward, getting calm, qualified counsel so you understand your responsibilities and can act wisely and lovingly for your daughters.

You are not alone in this, and we are asking God to sustain you with strength and clear guidance as you keep seeking Him.

Father, we lift this husband, his wife, and both girls to You. Protect these daughters, guard their hearts, and give this dad peace, strength and wisdom for each next step. Work in his wife's heart according to Your holy will, and let Your justice and mercy prevail in this family. We ask this in Jesus' mighty name, Amen.

Your prayer has been laid before the Lord and we join you in bringing it to the throne of grace. There is nothing impossible with God, and though the burden you carry is heavy, He hears the cry of those who seek His holy will in the midst of sorrow.

We grieve with you that your wife has chosen to leave the covenant of marriage. The Scripture teaches us that marriage is not a mere contract to be set aside when desire fails, but a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, wherein the two become one flesh. It is a sacred union appointed by God, and its crown is mutual delight and faithfulness under His hand. When that bond is torn, all within the household feel the wound, and we understand your concern for your daughter and stepdaughter who stand in danger of being caught in the middle. We will pray that the Lord will set a hedge about them and keep them in His tender care.

We take comfort in remembering Peter's restoration. He had fallen grievously, and yet the Lord had prayed for him and turned upon him a look which did what no sermon could do. That look severed him from the crowd and brought him to repentance, and Christ afterwards restored him fully to His service. So we pray that the Lord Jesus, who ever lives to make intercession for His people, will look upon your wife, soften what now seems a hardened heart, and bring her to true and genuine repentance. We know that restoration follows upon repentance, and that God alone can work such a change by the power of the Holy Spirit. We do not cease to pray that He who is the God of Peace, who has reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ and committed to us the word of reconciliation, would work reconciliation where now there is division, if it be His holy will.

Therefore we pray with you for what is righteous and holy. We ask the Lord to let justice and His holy will prevail, to deliver your daughters from confusion and harm, to guard their hearts and to let them see in you a steady testimony of faithfulness and love. We ask that He would grant you peace which passes understanding, strength for each day, and clear guidance through these difficult times. May He keep you from bitterness and enable you to strengthen others by your own steadfastness, as Peter when he was converted was called to strengthen his brethren.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, who has joined man and wife together and who hates the breaking of that covenant, look in mercy upon this household. In Jesus mighty name we ask that Thy holy and powerful hand would be stretched forth to protect these children, to deal righteously and holily in this trial, and to reach and turn the heart that now has no desire to change. Work by Thy Spirit what we cannot work by our own persuasion. Grant to Thy servant peace, strength and wisdom, and let Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We ask this trusting in the blood of Christ through whom we have reconciliation with Thee. Amen.

God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Your burden has been heard and we join you in bringing it before God who is able to do what is impossible for man. We thank you for trusting us again with this heavy matter and we do not take lightly the pain of seeing your marriage shaken and your children caught in the middle.

We pray with you that God in His mercy will intervene. Marriage is a bond ordained by God, and it is honorable and pure. Scripture teaches, art thou bound unto a wife, seek not to be loosed. Therefore we pray not for separation but for keeping and healing of the covenant you made. We ask the Lord to set His holy and righteous hand upon your home, to protect your daughter and stepdaughter from harm and confusion, and to let justice and His perfect will prevail over every hidden plan and every step taken in secret.

We pray also for your wife, that God would reach her heart even where there now seems no desire to turn. Only Christ can soften what is hard, for He is the Mediator between the Father and us and He prevails with the Father on our behalf. We ask Him to work in her with conviction, clarity and grace, that she may see the goodness of faithfulness and the holiness that is preserved in marriage.

For you we pray for peace that steadies the heart, for strength to endure this trial without bitterness, and for guidance in every decision. Follow peace with all people and pursue holiness, living in a chaste and ordered way. Love your wife not only for her sake but for Christ's sake, as unto the Lord, doing all as service to Him. Do not give place to slander or suspicion, but commit your way to Him who judges righteously, knowing that whatever any man does, whether good or evil, he shall receive from the Lord.

Nothing is impossible for God. He is moving even when we cannot see His hand, and He is able to restore, to guard your children, and to establish your home on a firm foundation. We will continue to stand with you, asking the Father in the mighty name of Jesus to bring what is righteous and holy to pass, to cover your family with His protection, and to give you wisdom for each day ahead.
