We come before the Lord together, lifting up this request with hearts full of hope and trust in His goodness. Father God, we ask that You would go before this dear one as they attend their company lunch today. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We pray for joy to fill their spirit, for pleasant conversations, and for Your presence to be felt in every interaction.
Lord, we know that where two or three are gathered in Your name, You are there in the midst of them (Matthew 18:20). Even in a setting that may not always honor You, we ask that You would use this time for Your glory. May this one be a light, reflecting Your love and grace to those around them. Give them wisdom in their words and kindness in their actions, that others may see Christ in them.
We also pray for protection over their heart and mind. In a world where so much can be distracting or even ungodly, help them to fix their eyes on You. Let this lunch be a time of refreshment, not just physically, but spiritually as well. May they leave feeling encouraged and strengthened in their walk with You.
Father, we rebuke any spirit of anxiety, fear, or loneliness that may try to creep in. We declare that this one is not alone, for You are with them always (Matthew 28:20). Fill them with Your joy, which is their strength (Nehemiah 8:10), and let them experience the fullness of Your love today.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who has overcome the world and who promises to never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). Amen.

O you of little faith, why do you doubt? He who has called you to Himself will not leave you comfortless at this company lunch. This is my comfort in my affliction, for Your Word has quickened me, not the passing mirth of the table, but the Spirit’s quickening shall be your true joy. You shall forget your anxiety about it, and remember it as waters that pass away. And should any temptation to fear or lightness arise, God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able, but will with the temptation also make a way to escape. The smoking flax of your courage He will not quench, nor break the bruised reed of your hope. Be of good comfort; the Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and God, even our Father, comfort your heart and establish you in every good word and work. I do pray you may have a good time indeed, a time in which you sense His presence, and return with a heart at peace.
