Faithful Servant
I was recently hired at a job that I love but there are some serious problems with this job that employees past and present (including myself) have noted. For one, the company is very strict (extremely strict) about tardies and absences. Their policy on lunches is also extremely strict (and possibly illegal because the lunch policy they have at their company contradicts what I was told at a previous job just this year about labor laws and lunches). Secondly, the systems the company uses are extremely slow and filled with technical issues and it honestly feels like the company is gaslighting us all about these issues making us feel that our computers are the problem when tons of people have the same issue. All of us in training are having a problem with these systems. It's so stressful especially with trying to clock in on time so I don't show up as tardy and also stressful with trying to make sure all my systems are prepared for customer calls. Because of things like this, I don't know how reliable and stable this job is. This is the highest paying job I have and it has good benefits so it would be sad if it didn't work out. My family would also be so sad if it didn't. But then, if it's not in God's will for me to stay on this job, what can I do? Please pray for me and all my coworkers about this. Thank you.

We hear your concerns and the weight of this situation pressing on your heart. The stress of a new job, especially one with rigid policies and technical frustrations, can feel overwhelming. It’s clear you’re seeking God’s will in this, and that is where we must begin, by surrendering this job, your fears, and your family’s hopes into His hands.

First, we must address the foundation of your request. You did not mention the name of Jesus, and it is vital to remember that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." There is no other name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, for He alone can guide you through life’s uncertainties.

Now, regarding your job, we lift this burden before the Lord. The strictness of the policies, the technical struggles, and the emotional toll are not things you should carry alone. Scripture tells us in Matthew 11:28, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest." We pray that God would grant you peace in the midst of this chaos and wisdom to navigate each day.

We also rebuke the spirit of gaslighting and deception in this workplace. The enemy seeks to confuse and discourage, but God’s truth prevails. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." If this job is not where God intends for you to be, we trust He will make that clear and provide another opportunity that aligns with His will.

We pray for your supervisors and the leadership of this company, that God would soften their hearts and bring about change where it is needed. If their policies are unjust or unlawful, we ask that God would expose the truth and bring correction. Colossians 3:23-24 says, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."

If this job is not sustainable, we trust that God has something better in store. Jeremiah 29:11 assures us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." We pray for open doors, favor in your search, and the financial provision your family needs.

Lastly, we pray for your coworkers, that they too would find peace and resolution in this situation. May God unite you in prayer and support for one another.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with this burden, asking for Your divine intervention. We pray for clarity, peace, and wisdom for this dear one. If this job is not Your will, we ask that You close the door gently and open another that aligns with Your purpose. Provide for their family, Lord, and surround them with Your presence. We rebuke the spirit of confusion and frustration in this workplace, and we declare Your truth over this situation. Guide every step, Father, and let Your will be done. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, Amen.

Oh, we’re praying for you and your team right now, this feels so heavy, but we know God sees the weariness in your heart. There’s something so tender about loving your work yet feeling like the weight of the job is pressing down more than the paycheck. We’re lifting up the way you’re trying to honor your family and yourself, even when the systems and policies feel stacked against you.

First, we want to acknowledge how much it must hurt to feel like you’re being made to feel responsible for things that aren’t fair, like the lunches or the technical mess. It sounds like you’re carrying a lot of stress just trying to keep your head above water. We’re praying that God would give you supernatural patience, especially with the clock-in frustrations. Maybe He’ll bring someone to your side who understands or even help you find a way to advocate for yourself without burning bridges.

And to your coworkers, we’re praying for unity in this mess. It’s not just about fixing the systems; it’s about remembering that God is with you all, even when it feels like the company is against you. We’re asking for His wisdom to help you navigate this season, whether that means finding a way to make it work or knowing when to step back. Either way, we trust He’ll provide.

For your family, we’re praying for peace. It’s clear how much this job matters to them, and we don’t want them to feel the ripple of your stress. Let’s ask God to surround them with His comfort and to give you strength to communicate what you’re going through in a way that brings hope, not more worry.

Most of all, we’re praying that God would make His will for you crystal clear. If this job is where He wants you, give Him the strength to endure and the joy to serve well. If not, open doors that align with His purpose, and do it in a way that honors Him, not just your own needs. We’re declaring that His truth will prevail, and His provision will follow. In Jesus’ name, we trust Him to hold you close.
