Beloved of All
Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I place Britain before You. Let Your peace, protection, wisdom, and mercy rest upon its people. Guide its leaders, strengthen families, protect children, and expose every work of darkness. Give me discernment concerning the vision I saw, and teach me to respond with faith, humility, wisdom, and love. “Seek the peace of the city… and pray to the LORD for it.” — Jeremiah 29:7 Amen.

We join you in placing Britain before the Father in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we thank you for your heart to seek His peace, protection and mercy over that nation.

We agree with you in asking for God's hand to rest upon its people, to guide its leaders, to strengthen families as He ordained them, to protect children and to expose every work of darkness that the light of Christ may shine more brightly. We are reminded that God calls us to this very intercession when He says through Paul in 1 Timothy 2:1-2 that petitions, prayers, intercessions and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence, and in Jeremiah 29:7 to seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to the LORD for it, for in its peace you will have peace.

We also lift up your request for discernment concerning the vision you saw. We pray that the Lord will give you clear wisdom and humility to test what you have seen and to respond only as His Spirit leads. The Scripture teaches us to test the spirits whether they are of God in 1 John 4:1 and promises that if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him in James 1:5. We ask for that liberal wisdom for you now, that you would walk by faith and not by sight, with humility and love, and that any fear would be replaced by perfect trust in Him.

We pray together now. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we bring the nation of Britain before You. Let Your mercy and truth cover that land. We ask You to grant wisdom and righteousness to those in authority, that they may govern with justice and fear of You. Strengthen marriages and families, guard children from harm and deception, and let every hidden work of darkness be exposed and brought to nothing, for You have said in Ephesians 5:11 to have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them. Heal what is broken, revive Your church there, and let Your gospel be proclaimed with boldness and love. We thank You that blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD in Psalm 33:12 and we ask that many hearts across Britain would turn to You in repentance and faith. Grant our brother and sister who is praying discernment, peace and courage to respond to what they have seen according to Your will and not their own understanding. Guide their steps and let all they do be done in faith, humility, wisdom and love for Your glory. We ask all this in the precious and only name by which we have access to You and by which we are saved, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

We appreciate you bringing Britain before the Lord so faithfully. It encourages us to see someone carrying a whole nation, its leaders and families and children, with such love and concern for its peace.

We also hear your desire to handle the vision you mentioned well, with humility and wisdom. Wanting to respond in faith and love rather than rushing to conclusions is itself a good and steady posture.

One thing that has helped others in this place is not carrying a vision alone. As you keep praying, it can be helpful to quietly hold what you saw before the Lord over time and invite one or two mature, trusted believers or a pastor who knows you to listen and help weigh it with you. Testing what we sense, looking at the fruit it produces, and staying rooted in humble dependence on the Holy Spirit keeps us grounded and protects us from either dismissing what God may be showing or running ahead of Him. Continuing to seek the peace of the place where God has put you, day by day, is faithful work.

Father in Jesus name, we lift Britain to You and ask for Your mercy and protection over its people. Give wisdom to its leaders, strength to families, and safety to children. Give our friend clear discernment about what he has seen, and grace to walk forward in faith, humility and love. Lead him step by step as he seeks You. Amen.

Your burden for Britain is itself a work of God upon the heart, for it is God that writes intercession upon men's hearts. To seek the peace of the city and to pray unto the Lord for it, as Jeremiah exhorts, is a blessed and priestly work, and there is no power like that of intercession. The secret springs that move the puppets of earth, for kings and princes are often little more than that, are the prayers of God's believing people.

We join you in this supplication. May the Lord in mercy look upon this land. We pray not for a false peace where men cry Peace, peace where there is no peace, for that peace is a curse and a lull of stupefaction. We pray for that true peace which is a blessing, the peace which God the Father gives, which Jesus Christ bought with His blood, and which the Holy Spirit works in the soul. It is written, Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee, because he trusteth in Thee. May that perfect peace, which is peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, and peace in the conscience through His atoning blood, be known among the people, in families, and in the hearts of children. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and to do the will of Jesus, this is rest.

We pray as you have asked, that God would guide those who govern, that He would strengthen families according to His own ordinance, that He would protect children, and that He would expose every work of darkness and bring it to light, for false peace only confirms the power of the enemy over the ungodly. We ask that He would grant wisdom and mercy to the nation, that men might be turned from their rebellions and find that peace which passeth all understanding at the feet of the Prince of Peace.

Concerning the vision of which you speak, we exhort you to seek discernment with humility and faith. We walk here by faith and not by sight, and dim enough is the vision here. Prove all things by the Word of God and by the Spirit who maketh intercession for us in a proper manner, for we know not what we should pray for as we ought. As Joshua saw the Captain of the Lord's host with sword drawn, may you see the Lord in the midst of His people, and may every vision lead you not to speculation but to holiness, to prayer, and to work. May God grant you to respond with faith that stays itself upon Christ, with humility that bows before His sovereignty, with wisdom that is taught by the Holy Ghost, and with love that seeks the good of souls.

Persevere in this intercession. Samuel said, God forbid that I should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray for you. Let your prayer be like Noah's dove, sent forth in faith, and even if no immediate answer appears, it shall return to you with an olive leaf, a sense of peace to your own spirit, for nothing is more restful to the heart than to have prayed. He that ever liveth to make intercession within the veil is in sympathy with you when you plead for transgressors.

May the Lord hear your prayer, keep you in perfect peace as your mind is stayed on Him, and in His time revive His work in this land as in apostolic days. We have but to expect it, to believe it, to pray for it, to work for it, and we shall have it, if it be His gracious will.

We commend you and Britain to Him who is our peace. Amen.
