We join you in placing Britain before the Father in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we thank you for your heart to seek His peace, protection and mercy over that nation.
We agree with you in asking for God's hand to rest upon its people, to guide its leaders, to strengthen families as He ordained them, to protect children and to expose every work of darkness that the light of Christ may shine more brightly. We are reminded that God calls us to this very intercession when He says through Paul in 1 Timothy 2:1-2 that petitions, prayers, intercessions and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence, and in Jeremiah 29:7 to seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to the LORD for it, for in its peace you will have peace.
We also lift up your request for discernment concerning the vision you saw. We pray that the Lord will give you clear wisdom and humility to test what you have seen and to respond only as His Spirit leads. The Scripture teaches us to test the spirits whether they are of God in 1 John 4:1 and promises that if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him in James 1:5. We ask for that liberal wisdom for you now, that you would walk by faith and not by sight, with humility and love, and that any fear would be replaced by perfect trust in Him.
We pray together now. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we bring the nation of Britain before You. Let Your mercy and truth cover that land. We ask You to grant wisdom and righteousness to those in authority, that they may govern with justice and fear of You. Strengthen marriages and families, guard children from harm and deception, and let every hidden work of darkness be exposed and brought to nothing, for You have said in Ephesians 5:11 to have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them. Heal what is broken, revive Your church there, and let Your gospel be proclaimed with boldness and love. We thank You that blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD in Psalm 33:12 and we ask that many hearts across Britain would turn to You in repentance and faith. Grant our brother and sister who is praying discernment, peace and courage to respond to what they have seen according to Your will and not their own understanding. Guide their steps and let all they do be done in faith, humility, wisdom and love for Your glory. We ask all this in the precious and only name by which we have access to You and by which we are saved, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
