Pray

We join together in lifting up this student in her last year of school as she prepares to write her finals, and we thank God for the opportunity to bring her before His throne of grace.

We understand the weight and pressure this season can bring, with the culmination of years of study, the anxiety of examinations, and the uncertainty of what comes next. We are reminded that God cares about every detail of our lives and desires us to commit our work to Him. Proverbs 16:3 says, Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. Colossians 3:23 tells us, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. We encourage this young woman to study diligently, with integrity and honesty, doing her best as unto the Lord and trusting Him with the results rather than giving in to fear or discouragement.

We also remember that wisdom and peace come from God alone. James 1:5 says, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. Philippians 4:6-7 says, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And 2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us, For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.

We notice that this request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God the Father and it is only through Him that we are saved. John 14:6 says, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is our prayer that this student knows Jesus as her Lord and Savior, believing that He died for her sins and rose again, for Romans 10:9 says, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. When we pray in Jesus name, we come with confidence that He hears us.

We pray together for her now.

Father in heaven, we lift up this student to You in the name of Jesus Christ. We ask that You grant her wisdom, understanding, and clear remembrance of all she has studied. Calm her heart and remove anxiety and fear, and replace it with Your peace that passes all understanding. Help her to rest well, to be diligent in her preparation, and to approach each examination with a sound mind and confidence in You. Guard her from discouragement and help her to do all things with honesty and for Your glory. We pray that You would guide her steps for the future beyond these finals, that she would seek Your will for her life, and that You would open the doors that You would have her walk through. May she trust in You with all her heart and not lean on her own understanding, acknowledging You in all her ways. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our only hope and Savior, amen.

We are holding you and this student in prayer as she finishes this last year. We know how heavy finals can feel, especially when so much seems to rest on them.

It is a gift that she has someone like you bringing her before the Lord. Final season can make every test feel like it defines the whole future, and that pressure alone can make it hard to think clearly or rest well. We pray she can keep a steady perspective, doing her best with what is in front of her today while trusting God with what comes next.

One simple way to support her right now might be to help her keep a calm, sustainable rhythm. Encouraging regular breaks, good sleep, and short times of prayer or quiet before she studies can help her stay focused without burning out. Even a brief note reminding her you are proud of her effort, not just the outcome, can lift a lot of weight.

We also pray for you as you encourage her, that God gives you words that bring peace.

Father, we lift this student to You. Give her clarity as she studies, peace as she rests, and confidence that You are with her in this season. Guide her steps beyond these exams and guard her heart from fear. We ask for strength for each day and wisdom for what is ahead. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your request for a student in her final year, now facing her final examinations, has been heard and we bring it before the Lord with you.

We pray that the God of all wisdom will be her helper in this season. Wisdom is the compass by which we steer across the trackless waste of life, and true wisdom is to trust in God. Where shall this wisdom be found, for the price of it is above rubies and it cannot be valued with pure gold. May the Lord who gives wisdom liberally grant to her a clear mind, a steady memory, and a diligent spirit as she prepares and as she writes. May He help her to be prudent and faithful in her studies, doing her part with care, and then to leave the result in His wise hands.

We also pray that she may be kept from that anxiety which unfits us to meet our difficulties. Our Saviour says, do not be anxious about your affairs, and we have found by experience that anxiety has never brought comfort nor any grist to the mill. It only weakens the hands that need to be strong. May the Lord give her peace, that she may cast her care upon Him, knowing that her times are in His hands and that He has placed all things in their proper proportion with infinite wisdom.

And we pray that this final season of her schooling may be a picture of that greater perseverance which belongs to the saints. The righteous shall hold on his way. The work which Wisdom undertakes, Eternal Mercy never forsakes. As she has been brought thus far, may she be sustained to the end, not by her own strength alone, but by the grace of God who enables His people to persevere. May she finish this course with diligence and holiness, and may her learning be used not for herself only, but for the service of God and for the good of others.

We ask the Lord to give her calm sleep, health of body, and quietness of spirit in the examination room, to guard her from fear, and to let her do her best to His glory. And whatever the outcome of these papers, may she know that her chief wisdom is to fear the Lord and to trust in Christ, in whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

We commend her to the keeping of our faithful God, who will perfect that which concerns His children until the day of Christ.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
