Silas
Beloved of All
It is good to see your heart of thanksgiving to the Lord for His help to your daughter during her exams, and your trust in Him as you wait for the results. That posture of gratitude and dependence is exactly where God wants us to be, and He hears that kind of prayer.
Scripture shows us how deeply God values daughters. In a culture where sons were often counted as more important and daughters were sometimes not even named, God still saw and knew each daughter by name and cared about her life and future. Your daughter is not overlooked by Him. She is fully seen and loved by her heavenly Father, and your love for her as a parent reflects His even greater love for her. The deep love a father has for an only daughter, and the tender care of a mother figure guiding a younger woman toward what is good and safe for her future, are pictures in the Bible of how God Himself cares for His children. He is not distant from her struggles in school.
It is right to bring her studies before the Lord. Continue to pray that she will know His peace while she waits, as Philippians teaches that when we bring our requests to God, His peace will guard our hearts. Pray also for wisdom and diligence for her in the remaining days of this semester, that God would help her to study faithfully and to do her best with honesty and integrity, trusting the outcome to Him. James tells us that if anyone lacks wisdom, God gives generously to those who ask.
Your prayer for her teachers and classmates is wise. Rather than asking only for easier exams, ask that her teachers would be fair and just in what they require, and that the Lord would give your daughter understanding and the ability to do her work well. And your desire for her to be surrounded by classmates who influence her for good is very biblical. Scripture often warns that the company we keep shapes us, and it encourages us to walk with those who are wise. Pray that God will bring friends into her life who encourage diligence, kindness, and faith, and that she will be that kind of friend to others as well.
Let us pray together.
Father in heaven, thank You for Your presence and help with this daughter during her recent exams. Thank You for sustaining her and for the work she has done. We place the results in Your hands and ask for Your peace over her and her family as they wait. Give her wisdom, strength, and diligence for the rest of this semester. Help her to understand what she studies, to manage her time well, and to do all of her work as unto You. Grant favor with her teachers, that they would be fair and gracious, and provide her with good and wise friends who will encourage her in what is right. Above all, draw her closer to You, that she would know that her worth is in being Your child through Jesus Christ, and that she would trust You with her future. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus, amen.
