Beloved of All
Tonight I come asking for prayer in the name of Jesus ,for our Granddaughter. She is currently enrolled at the University Texas San Antonio. She has had 2 exams since classes began, where her grade wasn't where she thought it should be. ### is doubting herself and is struggling with retaining what she learns. She was a excellent above average student in High School and earned her acceptance to the University based on her entrance exams and scholarship. I pray for the Holy Spirit remove the doubt and fear of failing and help her retain what she is taught. She knows Jesus since she was 5 years old. I pray for God to show her what her major should be for His Glory and Honor. Her current major is neuroscience. Thank you all in advance. I thank God the answers He is already sending in the Name of Jesus. I t

We join with you in prayer tonight for your granddaughter and we thank you for bringing her before the Lord in the name of Jesus. We rejoice that she has known Jesus since she was five years old and that it is through His name we have access to the Father, for there is no other name by which we are saved and by which we can boldly approach the throne of grace. We also thank God with you for the gifts He has given her, for her diligence in high school, for her acceptance and scholarship to the University of Texas at San Antonio, and for her desire to use her major for His glory and honor.

We understand how disheartening it can be to move from being an excellent student in high school to facing more difficult exams in university and we hear your concern for her doubting and struggling to retain what she learns. This transition is common and does not mean she has failed or that God has withdrawn His hand from her. We want to encourage her and you with the truth of Scripture.

God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7 That fear and doubt she is feeling does not come from Him. He says, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10 And we are told, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

We also pray for wisdom and clarity regarding her studies and her future major. Neuroscience is a demanding field and it is good to seek the Lord for direction. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5 We pray she will continue to commit her work to the Lord and trust Him with the outcome, for we are promised, Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. Proverbs 16:3 And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. Colossians 3:23 She can rest in knowing that God has a plan for her life, for I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

We encourage her to keep seeking Jesus first, to bring her studies before Him daily, to steward her mind and body with adequate rest and Sabbath, and to use the helps God provides such as professors, tutors, study groups and university resources, all while trusting not in her own strength but in His.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we lift up this precious granddaughter to You in the name of Jesus. We thank You for her life, for her faith in You from a young age, and for the abilities You have entrusted to her. We ask You to remove the spirit of fear and doubt that is weighing on her and to fill her with Your power, love and self-control. Calm her anxious thoughts and guard her heart and mind with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Help her to retain what she is taught, to understand with clarity, and to recall what she has studied when she is tested. Give her wisdom beyond her own understanding and show her clearly what major and path You would have for her, that it would be for Your glory and honor. Strengthen her faith so that she knows she is not alone, that You are with her, upholding her with Your righteous right hand. Help her to work heartily as unto You and to trust You with the results. We thank You for the answers You are already sending. In the name of Jesus we pray, amen.

We love hearing your heart for your ### and how faithfully you have prayed for her since she was little. It is understandable she feels shaken right now. Moving from being an above average high school student to the pace and testing style of a university, especially in a demanding major like neuroscience, is a big adjustment for even the most capable students, and early exam results can feel very personal.

What you are already doing, steady prayer and encouragement that reminds her who she is in Christ apart from any grade, matters more than you may realize. When you talk with her, it can help to simply listen and normalize that many freshmen need time to learn how to study at the college level, rather than questioning her ability.

One gentle next step that often helps is to encourage her to tap the support that is already around her at ### this week, stopping by a professor's office hours or the tutoring and academic success center to review how she is studying and retaining material, and to have an honest conversation with an advisor about what she enjoys most and where neuroscience might lead. That can ease some of the pressure as she seeks God's direction for her major.

Father, we lift this ### to You. Quiet the fear and self doubt that is weighing on her, help her to rest in Your love, to learn and retain what she studies, and to hear Your guidance for her future. Give her grandparents wisdom to encourage her well. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer for your ### has been heard and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus.

We thank God that she knows the Saviour since she was five years old, for that is the best foundation for all learning. And we thank Him for the gifts He has already given her, by which she stood above many in her school and obtained entrance and scholarship to the University. What God has begun He is able to carry on.

We pray now that the Holy Spirit will lift from her the doubt and fear of failing which so easily besets the young scholar. The Scripture says, Be strong, fear not. Fear is a liar that would tell her she is forsaken, but the Lord Jesus is with His own in every trial. Let her look unto Jesus, for there is no true deliverance from fear except by looking unto Him. His eyes do not fail, nor His arm, even when our eyes fail and our strength is small.

We pray also that God will give her a quiet mind and a retentive memory, that she may receive what is taught and keep it. David in his troubles knew where to turn for consolation, and that is no small wisdom. There is no other comfort beneath the skies like that with which the Word of the Lord will furnish us. May she be kept near to that Word, and live in the light of God's countenance, and live by faith, and so find that the promise of a living God and the guidance of the Spirit are not forgotten items in her reckoning, but her daily strength.

We ask the Lord to show her plainly what her calling should be, whether neuroscience or another field, and that whatsoever she does she may do it to the glory of God. If she is called of God to this work, let her go on without a shadow of doubt, for He will make the crooked places straight. And if He would lead her elsewhere, may He make that path plain also, for His honor and not her own.

Father, we commend this dear granddaughter to Thee. Remove fear, grant peace, strengthen her mind, and keep her close to Christ who bore our sins and carries our burdens. Let her know that if she suffers anxiety, Jesus suffers with His member, and He whispers, Fear not, I am with you. May she be strong in life to declare Thy truth boldly, and may her studies be service unto Thee. We thank Thee for answers Thou art already sending, and we ask all this in the precious name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
