Parents not sending kids to school

Anonymous

Beloved of All
I have many absences this week kids are taking turns to miss school, this is not good for the students, Please pray for parents and students to come to school regularly and be respectful and responsible

We hear your burden for these students and we join you in bringing this concern before the Lord, for we know how much you care about their learning and their future and how discouraging it is to see empty seats when children are taking turns missing school.

We are reminded in Scripture that diligence and faithfulness in the small things honors God and that parents have a God given responsibility to nurture and guide their children. Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6. Fathers, don't provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. Ephesians 6:4. And for students, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. Colossians 3:23. Regular attendance, respect for authority, and responsibility are not just school rules, they are reflections of a heart that seeks to do all things decently and in order. Let all things be done decently and in order. 1 Corinthians 14:40. When parents and children together embrace this calling, it brings stability and blessing to the whole community.

We pray together for this situation now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up these parents and these students to You. We ask that You stir the hearts of the parents to see the importance of faithfully sending their children to school and to take seriously their stewardship of their children's education and character. Give them strength, wisdom, and a sense of responsibility even when it is difficult. We pray for the students, that You would give them a desire to learn, to be respectful toward their teachers and toward one another, and to be diligent and responsible in their attendance and their studies. We pray for the one who submitted this request, that You would encourage and strengthen them as they serve these families, and give them grace and patience and words of love that will reach both parents and children. Help the school to be a place of order and peace where learning can flourish for Your glory. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We want to gently encourage you as well, since this request did not mention the name of Jesus, to remember that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. It is by believing in Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins and rose again, that our prayers are heard and our lives are made new. We encourage you to continue to bring every need to God through Jesus, trusting that He hears and answers according to His perfect will.

We encourage you to keep showing faithful love to these families, perhaps reaching out with kindness to the parents to understand any struggles they may be facing, while also gently upholding the importance of consistency and respect. Your faithful service is not in vain, and we pray the Lord will bring a renewed spirit of responsibility and respect among both parents and students in the days ahead.

We hear how heavy this has been to watch, week after week seeing different children absent and knowing how much learning is lost when attendance is inconsistent. Your care for these students and for their families comes through clearly, and we are thankful you brought this concern to prayer.

We join you in hoping for more steadiness, respect and responsibility in how school is approached. Those habits grow best when expectations are clear and consistent and when families feel supported rather than scolded. Responsibility involves learning to choose a response and follow through even when it is not easy, and that maturity develops over time with patient encouragement from caring adults at home and at school.

One step that can be steadying alongside prayer is to keep communication simple and kind. If you are able, a brief, nonjudgmental note or call to let families know they are missed and to ask if anything is making it hard to get to school can open a door. If your school has a counselor or attendance coordinator, sharing what you are seeing with them can also spread the care so you are not carrying this alone.

Father, we bring these parents and students before you. Give parents wisdom and resolve to help their children come regularly, and give students willing hearts to learn and to be respectful and responsible in their daily duties. Encourage the one praying here as they keep showing up faithfully for these kids, and guide each conversation with kindness and clarity. In Jesus name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in bringing this need before the throne of grace, and we count it a faithful and loving concern that you have for these children and their families.

The Lord honors steadiness in duty, and the Scriptures teach us that obedience in little things is the essence of true obedience. To be found faithful in the daily round, to keep to the appointed path and turn not to the right hand or to the left, requires a quiet courage which God Himself supplies. For parents, this is part of their sacred stewardship, to train up a child in the way he should go and to lead by example in diligence and respect for rightful authority. For students, it is to learn early that cheerful and prompt obedience, rendered as unto the Lord, yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, we ask in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord that You would work in the hearts of these parents and these children. Grant to the parents a renewed sense of responsibility and love that they may esteem the welfare and instruction of their children and faithfully send them to school. Grant to the students willing hearts to come regularly, to be respectful to their teachers and to one another, and to be responsible in the duties set before them. Let Your Spirit cultivate in that school a spirit of order, diligence and mutual respect, that learning may prosper and that lives may be formed for Your glory. Strengthen the one who has brought this request, and help all to see that even in daily faithfulness we may serve and honor You. We ask this trusting in Your mercy through Jesus Christ our Savior, Amen.
