Please pray this man messages me. I desperately want him to like me.

We join with you in bringing this desire before the Lord, and we hear the longing in your heart to be seen, liked, and valued by this man. It is natural to desire love and companionship, for God created us for relationship, but we want to gently guide your heart toward God's perfect will and His love for you first.

We must lovingly rebuke the spirit of desperation in this request, because desperately wanting a man to like you can quickly become idolatry where that man and his attention take the place that only God should hold in your heart. Prayer is not a tool to control another person's feelings or to make someone message you, but rather a surrender to God's sovereign will. We are called to trust Him with all our heart and not lean on our own understanding, for He will direct our paths. Proverbs 3:5-6. When we make another person's approval our source of worth, we forget how deeply God already values us, for we are fearfully and wonderfully made. Psalm 139:14. There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. 1 John 4:18. That perfect love comes from God alone.

We also notice your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your faith in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and confess Him as Lord. Romans 10:9. It is through His name that our prayers are heard.

Regarding relationships, we believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, as outlined in the Bible. We encourage you to view any relationship not as simply wanting a boyfriend to like you, but as courtship with the goal of marriage to another Christian believer. We pray for a godly spouse and a marriage that honors God, and we encourage you to pursue relationships that align with biblical principles. This means seeking someone who is equally yoked in faith. 2 Corinthians 6:14. It also means guarding your heart and your purity, for sex before or outside of marriage is fornication and dishonors God and ultimately harms your own soul. Flee sexual immorality. 1 Corinthians 6:18. A man who is worthy of you as a wife will honor that boundary and pursue you with Christlike intentionality, not casual attention or messages.

Instead of praying that this specific man will be made to like you, we encourage you to pray that God's will be done. Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4. Seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33. If this man is God's best for you for marriage, we pray God will make that clear in His timing and in a godly way. If he is not, we pray God will guard your heart from attachment to someone who would pull you away from His plan, for we know His thoughts toward you are thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear one to Your throne of grace. Lord, You know the longing in her heart to be loved and chosen. We ask that You first fill her with the assurance of Your perfect love and show her that she is fully known and cherished by You. Take away any spirit of desperation, anxiety, and fear, and replace it with peace and contentment in You. We surrender this man to You, Lord. If it is Your will for a godly marriage between them, we pray You would work in both of their hearts, draw them closer to You first, and open a door in Your timing that honors You. If this is not Your will, we pray You would close the door clearly, remove the longing, and guard her heart from pursuing what is not best. Help her to seek a spouse who loves You above all else and who will pursue her with purity, honor, and commitment toward marriage. Lead her to delight herself in You and to trust Your perfect plan for her life. We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. We hear the ache in your words and how heavily you are waiting for that message. Wanting to be noticed and liked is a very human longing, and it makes sense that silence from him feels so heavy right now.

We want to gently remind you that your worth is not measured by whether he texts back. When so much hope gets placed on one person's response, it can leave you feeling anxious and stuck checking your phone. It can help to loosen that grip a little, not because your feelings do not matter, but because you matter more than one outcome.

One small step that often helps is to shift some of that waiting energy toward community right around you. This week try spending time where you are seen and known already, whether that is worship with God's people, time with a trusted friend, or serving somewhere. Those places remind us we are not alone even when a hoped for message does not come, and they give your heart other places to breathe while you wait for clarity about this relationship.

We are praying for you and will keep praying.

Father, we bring our sister to You in Jesus name. You see her longing and her loneliness. Give her peace, steady her heart, and show her how deeply she is loved by You. Grant her wisdom and clarity about this man and what is best, and surround her with supportive community in the days ahead. Amen.

There is a deep and tender ache expressed in your words, and it is one that many have felt, that painful loneliness when the heart longs for another to notice and to care. It is not a small thing to feel friendless or unseen, and the longing you describe, so earnest and personal, shows how much your soul desires to be known and loved.

Yet I would gently turn your thoughts to a higher longing. What God intends to give us, He first sets us longing for, and prayer is the embodiment of a longing inspired of God because He intends to bestow the blessing. The question for each of us is, what are our longings. The psalmist says, I opened my mouth and panted, for I longed for Your commandments. Many long after promises and privileges, but the holy soul learns to long ardently after holiness itself, to be made like Christ and to find God. Job's longing was all absorbing and personal, not for trivial things, but to personally find God, to come to Him at all costs. That is the longing which never disappoints.

Remember also that a person's contentment is in the mind, not in the extent of possessions, nor in the message of another. Alexander with all the world at his feet cries for another world to conquer, while contentment is one of the flowers of heaven, and if we would have it, it must be cultivated. In your humble sphere, cultivate contentment. Seek by steady perseverance and quiet trust to rest in the Lord's care. His faith who trusts a predestinarian God can have as much peaceful contentment in the breast while tribulation lasts as when it has closed, because he knows that all things are in the Father's hand.

You speak of loneliness, and our Savior knows that loneliness most deeply. He was left alone, alone just when most, as Man, He needed human sympathy, and trod the winepress alone in Gethsemane. Yet hear His word in that loneliness, Ye shall leave me alone, and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me. It pained Him but it did not dismay Him. If you are His, you are never truly alone, for the Father is with you even now.

So we will pray for you, not that God would compel the affection of another, for love that is entreated or manipulated is no true good, but that the Lord would hear the desire of the humble, prepare your heart, and cause His ear to hear. We will ask that He would turn this strong longing into a holy longing, that you would pant after His presence and His commandments, that He would grant you contentment in His love, peace in His will, and the comfort of knowing you are fully seen and kept by Him. May He guard your heart from making another person the source of your joy, and may He fill that place Himself, until your soul breaks not for a message from man, but with longing for His judgments which are true and satisfying.
