LORD, we ask for The Holy Spirit to speak to us in every way by abiding in You and Your Words abiding in us, John 15:7, abiding in Your love, John 15:10, Your Word as a lamp to our feet, and a light unto our path, Ps 119:105, To speak according to the Law and The Testimony, Isaiah 8:20, Holy Spirit Visions while Awake ️ Dreams While Sleeping, Job 33:12-17; Matt 2:12, Prophecy, Joel 2:28, Num 12:6, Acts 16:9... Father, we come as little children in faith, asking the goal of our instruction, Love from a pure heart, a sincere faith and a blameless conscience, 1 Tim 1:5. We look to You and Your Word, Isaiah 8:20, rather than to all we see and hear from the noise and pollution of the world, and thank You, "You are able to save forever those who come to God through Jesus, because He lives to make intercession for us," Heb 7:25, c.f. Rom 8:34.

We agree, Matt 18:19, with this husband for himself, his wayward wife, children, family, extended family, ***prayer & ministry partners, church leaders, churches and team members -- You speak to us by any and every ordinary and extraordinary means: give warning dreams, as it is written in Job 33:14, "For God does speak—now one way, now another—though no one perceives it. 15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on people, as they slumber in their beds, 16 He may speak in their ears and terrify them with warnings, 17 to turn them from wrongdoing and keep them from pride, 18 to preserve them from the pit, their lives from perishing by the sword." Again, as with the affairs concerning our father, Abraham you warned Abimelech to keep him from death, Gen 20:3.

Like Abraham, we are imperfect but growing, and we believe Your promises, in fact we are fully persuaded You are able to fulfill what You promise, Rom 4:21, granting us everything we need for both life and godliness, 2 Peter 1:3-4. Pour out Your Holy Spirit on these named above, as prophesied in in Joel 2:28, “And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old will dream dreams, your youth will see visions. 29 Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days," Joel 2:28-29, c.f. Acts 2:17-18. Father, with humble confidence, give her, them, us dreams and visions underlining your will for us in Christ Jesus, as You have done from ancient times on those saved Joseph, Matt 1:20, Magi, Matt 2:12, and unsaved alike, Abimelech, Gen 20:3, Laban to remain neutral regarding Jacob, Gen 31:24, Nebuchadnezzar, Dan 2:1, Dan 4:5, until present, Acts 19:6, and You will continue to though the future, Heb 13:8. Your arm is not too short, Num 11:23, especially to save, Isa 50:2, Isa 59:1.

Again, as little children, "we know You can do all things and no purpose of Yours can be thwarted,"Job 42:2 We agree with John, that light is stronger than darkness and not able to overcome it, John 1:5. We agree that "nothing shall be impossible with God," Luke 1:27, "The things impossible with man are possible with God," Mark 10:27. Keep her, him, us and our churches, families, friends, pastors and government leaders from temptation, sin, evil, wrongdoing, lies, fear, evil people, deception, and the evil one, Lk 11:4, 1 Cor 8:1, Zeph 3:13, 2 Cor 13:7, 2 Cor 11:6, 2 Tim 3:5, 2 Tim 3:13, Tit 1:16, 2 Thes 3:2, Matt 24:4, Rev 12:9, Matt 6:13, John 17:15, 2 Thes 3:3. With thanksgiving we let our requests be made known and claim Your incomprehensible peace as promised, Phil 4:6-7. We thank You in advance, Mark 11:24, Heb 11:6, Jesus' Name, The Amen, and Faithful Witness, Rev 3:14, in Jesus ALL Your promises are Yes, and therefore we say, Amen, 2 Cor 1:20...

We join with you in this deep cry for the Holy Spirit to open our eyes and speak to us, and we agree together for this husband, his wayward wife, their children, family and extended family, and all who are laboring in prayer and ministry alongside them.

We love your hunger for God to speak through His Word and through every biblical means He has ordained. It is true that He opened the minds of the disciples that they might understand the Scriptures, Luke 24:45, and that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ, Romans 10:17. Your desire to abide in Christ and to let His words abide in you, John 15:7, abiding in His love, John 15:10, is the right foundation. Your Word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path, Psalm 119:105, and we are to speak according to the law and the testimony, Isaiah 8:20. In these last days God has poured out His Spirit and He does still lead His people, for as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God, Romans 8:14, and My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me, John 10:27. We also remember that God does speak in a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men, in slumbering on the bed, then he opens the ears of men, and seals their instruction, that he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man, Job 33:15-17, and that your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions, Joel 2:28. Yet we gently encourage you to keep the written Word as the supreme and final test of every impression, dream, vision, prophecy or counsel, so that no one is led astray by seeking experience above Scripture. We must test the spirits whether they are of God, 1 John 4:1, and hold fast to what is good, 1 Thessalonians 5:21, knowing that even when God gives a dream or a warning as He did for Abimelech, Genesis 20:3, or for Joseph, Matthew 1:20, and the wise men, Matthew 2:12, it always agrees with His character and His Word and turns hearts toward repentance and holiness.

We also lift up this marriage before the Lord, for we believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman as God designed from the beginning. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate, Matthew 19:6, and the Lord hates divorce and the covering of violence, Malachi 2:16. When a wife has become wayward, whether through wandering affections, deception, or falling into adultery or fornication, it is sin that must be named and repented of, for God calls us to flee sexual immorality, 1 Corinthians 6:18, and teaches that marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the bed undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers, Hebrews 13:4. If there has been unfaithfulness, we lovingly rebuke that sin and call her to turn from wrongdoing and be preserved from the pit, as you prayed from Job 33:17-18. We exhort this husband to continue to love his wife as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it, Ephesians 5:25, with patient endurance, prayer, and faithful obedience, not pursuing divorce hastily but seeking reconciliation, for to the married we command not we, but the Lord, that the wife not leave her husband and the husband not leave his wife, 1 Corinthians 7:10-11, and if separation has occurred, to remain unmarried or be reconciled. We pray for a godly marriage that honors God to be restored, not merely a partnership, but a covenant that reflects Christ and His Church.

We thank you that you have come in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him we have access to the Father, for there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 1 Timothy 2:5, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. We rejoice that He is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, seeing that he lives forever to make intercession for them, Hebrews 7:25.

So we pray together now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we ask You to pour out Your Spirit upon this husband, his wife, their children, their families, and all their prayer partners and shepherds. Open our eyes according to Luke 24:45. Give us a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You, Ephesians 1:17. Speak to us through Your Word, through faithful preaching, through divine appointments and godly counsel according to Isaiah 11:2. If it pleases You, give warning dreams and visions that terrify with warnings to turn from wrongdoing and keep from pride, Job 33:16-17, and make Your will unmistakably clear, always confirming it by Your Word. Draw this wayward wife back to Yourself and to her covenant vows, grant her repentance and a pure heart, a sincere faith and a blameless conscience, 1 Timothy 1:5, and deliver her from temptation, deception and the evil one, Matthew 6:13, John 17:15. Preserve this family from the pit, restore what has been broken, and let Your light shine in the darkness, for the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it, John 1:5. We confess with Job, I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be restrained, Job 42:2, and that nothing is impossible with God, Luke 1:37, for all things are possible with God, Mark 10:27. Grant us Your incomprehensible peace as we make our requests known with thanksgiving, Philippians 4:6-7, and keep us abiding in Your love and Your Word, bearing fruit for Your glory. We ask all this in the name of Jesus, the Amen and Faithful Witness, Revelation 3:14, in whom all Your promises are Yes, 2 Corinthians 1:20. Amen.

We hear your hunger to stay close to Jesus and to hear His voice clearly together as a family. Wanting His Word to dwell in you, His love to shape you, and His Spirit to lead you in both ordinary and extraordinary ways is a beautiful place to be.

We love how you put Jesus at the center, trusting Him as the one who lives to intercede for you. As you keep abiding in Him, we have found it helps to hold everything you sense, whether a thought in prayer, a word from the pulpit, counsel from others, or a dream at night, up to what God has already said in Scripture and to the wisdom of trusted, mature believers around you. The Spirit never pulls against the truth He inspired, and He loves to form Christlike love, patience and peace in us as we listen.

A simple next step that many find steadying is to keep bringing what you believe you are hearing back to the Lord in prayer together and to one or two godly leaders who know you well, asking, does this align with God's Word and does it bear the fruit of love and humility.

Father, we lift this husband, his wife and children, their families and church family to You. Draw each one closer to Jesus, give clear understanding of Your Word, gentle guidance for each decision, and protection from confusion and temptation. Make Your presence known and keep them walking in love and truth. In Jesus name, Amen.

Your longing that the Holy Spirit should open the understanding, as it is written that Jesus opened the understanding of His disciples that they might understand the Scriptures, Luke 24:45, is a right and blessed longing, and it is to be sought in the way God has appointed.

The Holy Spirit is not an influence but a Person, very God, and He makes the narrow heart of man His palace. He condescends to dwell there, though it be but a cottage and unclean, and He becomes a lamp to enlighten and a staff on which we may lean. He is the Author of all spiritual life. Until He visits us we are dead in trespasses and sins, and no man was ever saved by the means of grace apart from Him. How can any man become holy except by the Spirit of Holiness, for a holy man is the workmanship of the Holy Spirit.

For this reason your prayer to abide in Christ and to have His words abide in you, John 15:7, and to walk by the Word as a lamp unto the feet and a light unto the path, Psalm 119:105, and to speak according to the Law and the Testimony, Isaiah 8:20, is the true path. The Holy Spirit deals with the things of Christ. He will receive of Mine, says the Lord Jesus, and shall show it unto you, John 16:14. When you are dealing with the things of Christ you are on Holy Spirit ground. That teaching is not of the Holy Spirit which does not glorify the Lord Jesus, and that leading is not of the Spirit which detracts from Christ as Saviour. Cry mightily unto God for the Spirit, for without Him you utterly fail, and entire dependence upon Him is your wisdom.

You ask that He would speak by every ordinary and extraordinary means, by dreams and visions and warnings as in Job 33 and as with Joseph and the Magi. Remember that the Lord can speak now one way, now another, and He is able to warn and to preserve from the pit and to keep from pride, and His arm is not shortened that it cannot save, Isaiah 59:1. Yet the ordinary and sure voice of the Spirit is in the Word, and faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God, Romans 10:17. The Spirit says, Today if ye will hear His voice, harden not your hearts, Hebrews 3:7. His unvarying utterance is Today. Take heed that you hear Him in the Scriptures opened, in the faithful preaching of Christ from the pulpit, in godly counsel, and in the Shepherd's voice, John 10:27, which is known because the sheep know Him. Do not grieve the Holy Spirit by unbelief or by unholiness of life, for it is the nature of a holy Being to be vexed with unholiness, and there can be no concord between God and Belial. To grieve Him is to tear the seal from your commission, for the possession of the Spirit is God's seal that you are His child. Pray in the Holy Spirit, Jude 1:20, not in the flesh with solemn sound upon a thoughtless tongue, but in His power and through His help, for He is willing to help you to pray and to tell you how to pray.

I join my prayer with yours according to Matthew 18:19, for this husband, for his wife who has wandered, for their children and family and extended family, for prayer and ministry partners, church leaders and churches. May the Lord grant repentance and a return to the covenant of marriage as God ordained it, one man and one woman in a lifelong covenant, where alone such union belongs, and may He grant love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith, 1 Timothy 1:5. For the wayward, that the Spirit would convict, terrify with warnings where needed to turn from wrongdoing, and draw with cords of love to Christ, who alone saves forever those who come to God through Him, because He ever lives to make intercession, Hebrews 7:25. For the husband, that he may be kept from temptation and from the evil one, and be kept abiding in Christ's love, John 15:10, growing in grace though imperfect, fully persuaded that what God has promised He is able to perform, Romans 4:21, and that He has given all things that pertain unto life and godliness, 2 Peter 1:3. For the children and households, that light may prove stronger than darkness, John 1:5, and that nothing shall be impossible with God, Luke 1:37, may be known in their deliverance.

Let your requests with thanksgiving be made known unto God, and the peace that passes all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7. Continue instant in prayer, leaning not upon the strength of good intentions or strong resolutions, but upon the might of God the Holy Spirit alone, that He may awaken, enlighten, make to love God, and glorify Christ in all your homes and churches. May the Lord grant that we may not grieve the Holy Spirit, but worship Him, yield to Him, confide in Him, and know Him by His own presence with us. Amen.
