LORD, we ask for The Holy Spirit to speak to us in every way by abiding in You and Your Words abiding in us, John 15:7, abiding in Your love, John 15:10, Your Word as a lamp to our feet, and a light unto our path, Ps 119:105, To speak according to the Law and The Testimony, Isaiah 8:20, Holy Spirit Visions while Awake ️ Dreams While Sleeping, Job 33:12-17; Matt 2:12, Prophecy, Joel 2:28, Num 12:6, Acts 16:9... Father, we come as little children in faith, asking the goal of our instruction, Love from a pure heart, a sincere faith and a blameless conscience, 1 Tim 1:5. We look to You and Your Word, Isaiah 8:20, rather than to all we see and hear from the noise and pollution of the world, and thank You, "You are able to save forever those who come to God through Jesus, because He lives to make intercession for us," Heb 7:25, c.f. Rom 8:34.

We agree, Matt 18:19, with this husband for himself, his wayward wife, children, family, extended family, ***prayer & ministry partners, church leaders, churches and team members -- You speak to us by any and every ordinary and extraordinary means: give warning dreams, as it is written in Job 33:14, "For God does speak—now one way, now another—though no one perceives it. 15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on people, as they slumber in their beds, 16 He may speak in their ears and terrify them with warnings, 17 to turn them from wrongdoing and keep them from pride, 18 to preserve them from the pit, their lives from perishing by the sword." Again, as with the affairs concerning our father, Abraham you warned Abimelech to keep him from death, Gen 20:3.

Like Abraham, we are imperfect but growing, and we believe Your promises, in fact we are fully persuaded You are able to fulfill what You promise, Rom 4:21, granting us everything we need for both life and godliness, 2 Peter 1:3-4. Pour out Your Holy Spirit on these named above, as prophesied in in Joel 2:28, “And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old will dream dreams, your youth will see visions. 29 Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days," Joel 2:28-29, c.f. Acts 2:17-18. Father, with humble confidence, give her, them, us dreams and visions underlining your will for us in Christ Jesus, as You have done from ancient times on those saved Joseph, Matt 1:20, Magi, Matt 2:12, and unsaved alike, Abimelech, Gen 20:3, Laban to remain neutral regarding Jacob, Gen 31:24, Nebuchadnezzar, Dan 2:1, Dan 4:5, until present, Acts 19:6, and You will continue to though the future, Heb 13:8. Your arm is not too short, Num 11:23, especially to save, Isa 50:2, Isa 59:1.

Again, as little children, "we know You can do all things and no purpose of Yours can be thwarted,"Job 42:2 We agree with John, that light is stronger than darkness and not able to overcome it, John 1:5. We agree that "nothing shall be impossible with God," Luke 1:27, "The things impossible with man are possible with God," Mark 10:27. Keep her, him, us and our churches, families, friends, pastors and government leaders from temptation, sin, evil, wrongdoing, lies, fear, evil people, deception, and the evil one, Lk 11:4, 1 Cor 8:1, Zeph 3:13, 2 Cor 13:7, 2 Cor 11:6, 2 Tim 3:5, 2 Tim 3:13, Tit 1:16, 2 Thes 3:2, Matt 24:4, Rev 12:9, Matt 6:13, John 17:15, 2 Thes 3:3. With thanksgiving we let our requests be made known and claim Your incomprehensible peace as promised, Phil 4:6-7. We thank You in advance, Mark 11:24, Heb 11:6, Jesus' Name, The Amen, and Faithful Witness, Rev 3:14, in Jesus ALL Your promises are Yes, and therefore we say, Amen, 2 Cor 1:20...

We join together with you in this deep cry for the Holy Spirit to open our understanding and to speak to us in every way that is according to His holy will.

We love your hunger for the Word of God and your desire to abide in Christ and have His words abide in you, for as it is written, If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you, John 15:7, and Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path, Psalm 119:105. We agree that the Lord indeed opened the minds of the disciples that they might understand the Scriptures, Luke 24:45, and we ask with you for the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, Ephesians 1:17, and for the Spirit of Yahweh to rest upon us, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of Yahweh, Isaiah 11:2.

We also gently encourage and exhort you to keep the written Word as the supreme and final test of all guidance. We rejoice that God does speak in many ways, for God speaks once, yes twice, though man pays no attention. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men, in slumbering on the bed, then he opens the ears of men, and seals their instruction, that he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man, Job 33:14-17, and that He poured out His Spirit as promised, It will happen afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams. Your young men will see visions, Joel 2:28. Yet we must always bring every dream, vision, prophecy, counsel, and impression to the law and to the testimony, for if they do not speak according to this word, surely there is no morning for them, Isaiah 8:20, and we must test the spirits, for many false prophets have gone out into the world, 1 John 4:1, and remember that even when God gives extraordinary direction, His leading will never contradict His Word. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me, John 10:27, and as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God, Romans 8:14. The Shepherd's voice will always lead us toward holiness, truth, humility and love.

We lift up before the Lord this husband, his wayward wife, their children, family and extended family, and all prayer and ministry partners, church leaders and churches and team members you have named. We pray especially for this marriage, for we believe marriage is a holy covenant before God between one man and one woman for life, and what God has joined together, let no man separate, Mark 10:9. If this dear wife has turned aside from her marriage vows, whether in heart, mind or body, we know this grieves the Lord, for marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the bed undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers, Hebrews 13:4. We do not condone fornication or adultery in any form, and we pray for deep conviction, repentance and restoration. We pray the Lord will speak to her as He spoke to Abimelech in a dream to keep him from sinning, Genesis 20:3, and turn her from wrongdoing and keep her from pride, to preserve her soul from the pit, Job 33:17-18, and draw her back to her husband and to the Lord in purity and faithfulness. We pray for this husband to love his wife even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it, Ephesians 5:25, with patient, forgiving, steadfast love that seeks her restoration and not her condemnation, remembering that love covers a multitude of sins, 1 Peter 4:8, and that God hates divorce, Malachi 2:16.

So we pray together now, Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, by whom alone we have access to You and through whom alone we are saved, for there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. Lord, open our eyes that we may behold wondrous things out of Your law, Psalm 119:18, grant us repentant hearts and ears to hear what the Spirit says, pour out Your Spirit upon this family and upon Your church, give warning dreams where needed to turn hearts from evil, give clear visions and prophecy that align with Scripture, bring divine appointments and godly counsel, and let every word be confirmed by two or three witnesses, 2 Corinthians 13:1. Keep this husband, his wife, their children and all of us from temptation, from the evil one, and from deception, for You are faithful, who will establish us and guard us from the evil one, 2 Thessalonians 3:3, and You are able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through Him, seeing He ever lives to make intercession for them, Hebrews 7:25. We thank You that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, Ephesians 3:20, for with God all things are possible, Mark 10:27, and no purpose of Yours can be thwarted, Job 42:2. Let Your incomprehensible peace that passes all understanding guard our hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:7, as we abide in Your love, John 15:10, and seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, Matthew 6:33. We ask all this in the name of Jesus, our Amen and Faithful Witness, Revelation 3:14, in whom all the promises of God are Yes and Amen, 2 Corinthians 1:20.

Thank you for bringing this deep longing before the Lord so openly. We hear your desire to abide in Christ and to have His Word truly shape your home, your marriage and your family, and to be sensitive to how the Holy Spirit leads, whether through Scripture, a sermon, wise counsel or a quiet prompting.

We love your childlike trust that God is able and that He cares about each person you named. In a noisy world it is wise to keep coming back to the Scriptures as our lamp and to test every impression, dream or word of counsel there, with humility and with others who know you well. The Spirit who lives in us is our Helper and Counselor, bringing truth and forming Christlike love, and He delights to guide us into what is good and pleasing to God.

A gentle next step that many find steadying is to keep a simple daily time in the Word and prayer, and when you sense a particular leading or recall a dream, write it down briefly and bring it to a trusted pastor or mature believer to weigh together in prayer. That shared discernment protects and encourages.

Father, we bring this husband, his wife and children, their families and churches before You. Give them a quiet, clear sense of Your presence, wisdom to discern Your leading, protection from confusion and the evil one, and Your peace as they trust You day by day. Draw each one closer to Jesus, in Jesus' name, amen.

Your longing that the Holy Spirit should open the understanding, as it is written He opened their understanding that they might understand the Scriptures, Luke 24:45, is a right and needful prayer, and it is one which God delights to answer. Apart from His gracious operation no man is saved, for that which is born of the Spirit is spirit, and a holy man is the workmanship of the Holy Spirit. We are utterly dependent upon Him, and without Him there is no life nor power in preaching, nor hearing, nor praying.

There is much wisdom in your desire to abide in Christ and to have His words abide in you, John 15:7, and to walk by the lamp of His Word, Psalm 119:105, and to try all things by the law and the testimony, Isaiah 8:20. This is the sure path. The Holy Spirit glorifies Christ, He receives of the things of Christ and shows them unto us, and when He takes the veil from the heart then we see Christ. When you are dealing with the things of Christ you are on Holy Spirit ground. Any voice or vision or dream which does not glorify Christ and magnify His Word is not of the Spirit, for the Spirit will never lead away from the Book which He Himself inspired.

You ask that He would speak by every ordinary and extraordinary means, by the opening of the Bible, by messages from the pulpit, by divine appointments and godly counsel, by the still small voice of the Shepherd, John 10:27, and even by warnings in the night as in Job 33. We do not deny that the Lord has in times past warned Abimelech and Laban and Nebuchadnezzar, and guided Joseph and the wise men by dreams, and that He poured out His Spirit at Pentecost according to Joel 2:28. His arm is not shortened that it cannot save, Isaiah 59:1, and with God nothing shall be impossible, Luke 1:37. Yet remember that His most constant and most certain voice is that of which it is said, Today if ye will hear His voice, harden not your hearts, Hebrews 3:7. The Holy Spirit says Today. He speaks now in the Scriptures, and blessed are they who hear and obey at once.

Take heed therefore that you grieve not the Holy Spirit, Ephesians 4:30. He has made the narrow heart of man His palace, though it be but a cottage unclean, and He is grieved above all by unbelief and by inattention to Christ. Cry mightily unto God for His presence, for what a dreary business it is when the Spirit is gone from the congregation, and what a mercy when He is there. Pray in the Holy Spirit, Jude 1:20, which is to pray in His power and by His help, for He will tell you how to pray when you know not what to ask.

We join our supplications with yours according to Matthew 18:19. We pray for you who have asked, for your wife who has wandered, for your children and family and extended family, for your prayer and ministry partners, for church leaders and churches and team members. May the Lord grant unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, Ephesians 1:17, and the spirit of counsel and might as promised in Isaiah 11:2. May He preserve your wife and turn her from wrongdoing and keep her from pride, that she may be kept from the pit, Job 33:17. May He grant to each of you love from a pure heart and a sincere faith and a good conscience, 1 Timothy 1:5, and keep you all from temptation and from the evil one, and cause you to walk in holiness. For marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman ordained of God, and we pray that He would restore what is broken, heal what is wounded, and make that covenant to reflect the faithfulness of Christ to His church.

We pray that you may be kept abiding in His love, John 15:10, looking not to the noise and pollution of the world but to Jesus who ever liveth to make intercession for us, Hebrews 7:25, Romans 8:34. May the peace of God which passeth all understanding keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:7, as you make your requests known unto Him with thanksgiving.

May the Lord grant you to know the Holy Spirit not as an influence but as a Person, to know Him by His own indwelling, and to be led by Him as sons of God, Romans 8:14. And may all that is asked be for the glory of Christ, in whose Name every promise is Yea and Amen, 2 Corinthians 1:20. Amen.
